  1. This is our first game after the Bayern defeat. I don't see us losing or drawing. Victory at all costs. Hail Mourinho.
  2. If Emenalo is responsible for the young talent we've been recruiting, then he's doing very well. Hazard, Oscar, De Bruyne, Schurrle, Lukaku, hopefully Van Hinkel, will only get better as they grow. And the fact that all of these players are going to be rotated heavily means they will stay injury-free and avoid Michael Owen-esque overworking and burnout. By the time these boys are 26 Chelsea will be the best team in the world.
  3. Oh man that's very true, we need a new ground badly. At least a 70-thousand seater.
  4. I guarantee Barcelona wouldn't win nearly as many games in the EPL as they do in La Liga, where defending doesn't exist and all the players are 5 feet tall.
  5. To be fair, not many English players go to Spain or Italy either. Players like to play in their home country with mom's cooking and childhood friends. With the EPL getting richer by the year (thanks Asia and USA for the TV contracts) eventually the market will force more top continental players into England.
  6. That video of Eto'o actually got me excited. He looked sharp. Not his fault his teammates gave him NO help or supporting runs. Imagine him with our AM's behind him. He looked lively and like trying to score.
  7. HAHAHA YES. THANK YOU
  8. Willian will definitely feature at Goodison, whether starting or coming off the bench. Eto'o will probably start, given his statement that he is anxious to begin playing immediately. Eto'o is kinda high-maintenance so I'm glad Mourinho knows how to handle him.
  9. Di Matteo always looked out of his depth. I'm with you. I actually liked Rafa Benitez; he had a good eye for tactics. Admittedly he dropped the ball early with the losses to QPR, Reading, and Southampton, but he masterminded 2 great victories against Man United in the spring that knocked them out of the FA cup and put us into the solid top 4. Our depth was definitely awful last season. So stressful to watch Benayoun come onto the field...ever. I like our attacking middies this season because they are all unique: Willian and Hazard are dribblers, Oscar is tricky, Mata is a ballplaying genius with the killer final pass, Schurrle is a proper right-winger who also tracks back, and De Bruyne is a versatile player with good technical skills, more of a right-midfielder than a right-winger to me.
  10. So Chelsea are not even favorites to win this game at Everton according to betonline. I bet 50 on Chelsea to win. Risky bet I guess but our defense looks tight and we always score at Goodison.
  11. Eto'o plays best as a 2nd striker. Jose said he wanted to bring Eto'o into Chelsea in the first spell to partner Drogba up top, but Shevchenko filled that role decently to help Drogba. I think Jose likes 2 strikers. Eto'o was 2nd striker behind Milito at Inter. Honestly I prefer Mata as 2nd striker. I thought Schurrle was awesome on the RW against Bayern. That's his spot, I think.
  12. Lukaku clearly didn't impress in training over the past two months.
  13. Lukaku failed his audition. Next year he'll be miles better after a good loan spell.
  14. I'm just glad we have no bad players left like last season such as Benayoun, Paolo Ferrera, Marko Marin, Moses was iffy. Replaced by De Bruyne, Schurrle, and Willian.
  15. I thoroughly enjoyed our Europa League run last year. It helped our team finish top 4 in the EPL I think.
  16. Moses will be back. He's young with room to improve.
  17. We are definitely gonna win. We might run riot and score 3 goals, Ramires+Lampard+Oscar scorers
  18. Hazard, Oscar, and Schurrle are good shooters.
  19. Dude we had spells of control and pressure too, the first half was mostly counter-attack but in the second half after Ribery equalized Chelsea had 10-15 minutes where we were the better side. Ivanovic, Luiz, and Oscar all should have scored during this period. When Ramires got a red card it cost us Schurrle who had to be sacrificed for Mikel.
  20. Cech should not be MOTM based on his inability to stop a single penalty.
  21. Oscar was the hardest worker, took on three Bayern players at a time and kept the ball, and lashed his penalty into the upper corner. Cech would've been MOTM if he had saved a penalty and given Chelsea the advantage in the shootout.
  22. Schurrle knew the Bayern defense well; he was a lethal component of our strikeforce of Hazard, Oscar, and Torres. Ramires cost us Schurrle, significantly. Chelsea wins Premier League and FA Cup double this year if play to win.
  23. That would be hilarious if Willian started against Utd. Actually it would be awesome. Let it happen.
