I watched that Keane and Viera documentary recently, and Keane said that what drove him on was fear, fear of losing. I think that was a big part of what made Ferguson so successful, you knew if you didn't put in 100% you were going to get a right bollocking, so Jose is trying to instill that same fear in his team, he's making sure they know if they make a mistake that they're going to know about it.

Agreed, he was one of our better players. People moan about Willian having no end product, but he's offering more than Oscar in the final third atm, as well as more energy generally.

Saw so many say Torres was crap last night against le arse. No matter that he won 7 of 11 aerial battles up front, more than any other player on the pitch. In straight comparison Giroud won 3 out of 10. Torres worked his ass off yesterday. I can imagine he did everything Jose asked him to do, we didn't really go out there to grab 3 points rather than let's take the chance when we get it but a point is alrighty.

I agree that he isn't a world-class Makalele , but what I meant was that he is very nearly always in space when someone else is being pressurised, despite some high-profile incidents that lots of posters love to remember, he is actually quite a good tackler, and good with the ball at his feet in tight situations.  I admit he does appear to doze off on occasion but the speed with which some arses in here (not you BJD) try to blame Mikel for everything that goes wrong just irritates the f**k out of me.  FFS, the other day we even had one tit saying that it was Mikel's fault that Luiz got booked. Now that is one blinkered arsehole.
 
Any road up, whilst we probably will never agree fully, I think Mikel is somewhere in between "Nowhere near as bad as some think" and "Not really good enough if we want to be world beaters but the best we have for that position at the moment "  And, having said that, I think the constant and instant slagging off of a Chelsea player by so-called fans is just a bit classless (Again, not you BJD)

The time is approx a 24 hour round trip. You would have us believe that, while you're away on business, you travel for that length of time to watch Shakhtar play a nothing game in a nothing league, and you claim you did this on several occasions. I bet your boss was happy. Presumably you stayed overnight so that would make it a 2 day trip. Nice work if you can get it.

I hope Nando is back in the squad for West Ham. He will have fire in his belly after another set back to what has been his best season for us yet.
