Jose rarely rotates many players, so remaining in the champions league could just knacker the players and Chelsea may miss out on all trophies this season. The title challengers all look like they will be knocked out this round of the CL, they will be fresh and able to use most of their training time purely for preparation of their following premiership games. If I was a Chelsea fan I would not mind being knocked out of the champions League in order to focus on winning the more realistic trophy (Premier).

Unfortunately for Chelsea when a top top players is available, 9 times out of 10 you don't have the pull factor that bigger clubs have to get the best players. The only recent exeption I can think of is Hazard and he only came because of the buzz from Chelsea winning the Champions League imo. I doubt you will ever have that pull factor Real, Barca and Bayern have in order to get the world class players like Neymar, Bale and Lewandowski. For that reason I think you will always be a long way of being a top top team.

If only you had kept Sturridge instead of buying Ba, brought Suarez instead of Torres and kept Lukaku at the Bridge instead of bringing in Eto'o... Less wages...Less transfer fee's...More goals...

I love watching City, they have goals everywhere in their team, despite how much they have spent they are playing above expectations with some amazing football, Chelsea on the other hand have been playing below expectations considering the amount of years you have spent ridiculous amounts, and for Jose to keep saying that you are a work in progress is a bit embarrassing, you should be a well established club, more so than City (They have only been big spenders half the amount of time as Chelsea!). Btw I'm not trying to criticize your club, I'm just fed up with Jose keep saying that you are not favorites and shouldn't be expected to achieve much this season because I think you damn well should be leading contenders in every tournament ! Its like he is making excuses just to cover his back incase you have another under-achieving season.
