Fifa 14
Yeah, micro transactions are a cheap shot when it comes to games. In fact, (call me old fashioned) any kind of additional cash requirement just to play the game is damn cheeky as far as I am concerned. Especially when the game itself costs 50 quid. The Elder Scrolls Online is the worst culprit. A mate of mine was telling me that you literally cannot play it at all without paying a monthly subscription ON TOP of the monthly PSN or XBL subscription. So essentially, you pay 50 odd quid for the disc, get home and have to pay another 7 quid or something just to play it. Now that right there is a piss take. People argue that it helps maintain servers etc. But what does the 50 quid base cost pay for then? I dont play ultimate team because of the micro transactions. Cannot be bothered with it. The mechanics of it are built to constantly require top ups so its essentially a mode to encourage more spending. What you said about kids and their parents' credit cards is spot on too Jonty. The adverts in the upper corner are a nuisance aswell. I'm just not interested in it. Its borderline in game spam.

Champions League patch
The more I look at it, I think it is legit. Its a bloody high quality fake if it is. Measured it against my buddies one earlier which is definitely legit, and couldn't find a single difference. Plus the lady I bought it from sent it recorded delivery which I had to sign for. You wouldn't go that length if it was a fake surely. I'll stop by the Megastore next week and get it sorted. Just a bugger I couldn't get through today. Perhaps they were busy!

Fifa 14
Is the world cup one proper crap then? Heard it wasn't all that. They would have been better off just launchijfg it as DLC for FIFA 14 like they did with the European cup on FIFA 12.

What are your sources?
Just wondering where people go for their fix of Chelsea transfer rumours. I don't tend to visit a majority of sports news sites as I often find myself having to filter through endless manure, Liverpool and Citeh tripe. I use this page which seems to link most stories together in a single page. Wondering if any of you have any other gems to share: http://mobile.newsnow.co.uk/h/Sport/Football/Premier+League/Chelsea I know its hardly comprehensive, but when I have only a few minutes to see what's happening, it can be quite handy.

Eden
Wow, looking back on that, yeah I see what you mean. Was a highly pressured couple days... you know how it goes. Just annoyed me to think that the man would try and influence his career in such a dramatic fashion like that. The thought of losing Hazard is not one I care to see as a possibility.

Our New Stadium
Another instance of local culture being impeded by businessmen overseas. It saddens me. I would love to see a revamped Stamford Bridge, but as many have said on here, I cannot see a logical way of doing that. If we want a larger capacity venue, we will need to move. As much as I hate the thought of leaving the Bridge, it will eventually be a necessity. I had goosebumps when I saw the proposed power station stadium. With a bit of luck the Malaysians plans will fail spectacularly and we get our ground in the end.

Champions League patch
I got it on EBay (I know), but a friend has one on his home shirt which was printed at the megastore. They didn't have the respect ones and haven't had any the two times I had CL patches/namesets printed on my shirts and the CL shirt I bought from the online Megastore site didn't come with a respect patch either. Anyways, back on point, I compared it with his one this morning and it is identical.

Fifa 14
That's the big problem fella. They're too keen to release one every season. I don't watch wrestling, and haven't done since i was a teenager (hate it, its like Neighbours on steroids), but play the games occasionally. They just tack on a bunch of new faces and market it as brand new. The new WWE game is done through a new developer and even that is the same as the old ones. Its like they signed a contract to buy the formula or something. These companies will continue to do this until their audience stops paying attention. Not hoping for much with FIFA 15 but having seen the mass amounts of negative feedback FIFAs 13 and 14 received, a part of me hopes that they will acknowledge and do something about them. Even small details like teams who win the league wear gold patches in career mode and newly promoted teams having premiership patches and name sets would be something. Guess we just wait and see. I tried playing the online modes but when you're constantly getting players that take the lead and play back half passing between 3 players to run the clock down, or players who quit as soon as you go a goal or two up, takes the fun out of it,

Champions League patch
Hey all, quick question. after months of looking for one at a decent price, I have finally got a Champions League 2012 winners patch for my last season shirt. Unable to get through to the Megastore, but was wondering if anybody knew if they would still charge the full patch price to print it on if I already had the patch. Very trivial I know, but any help would be much appreciated. Its just the round blue patch with the cup and the year. Couldn't get hold of the respect strip.

Champions League Semi-Final Draw - 11/04/2014 - 11:00 BST
Atletico (undefeated in the contest so far) were who I wanted to avoid. A weakened Real Madrid would have been ideal. But we all have our preferences.

Champions League Semi-Final Draw - 11/04/2014 - 11:00 BST
This is convenient.... Courtois contract doesn't need to be honoured, despite it being a binding agreement between two clubs, which has nothing to do with anybody else, and wee get Atletico Madrid? I call major bull and I see this possibly creating tensions betweens us and Atletico if they decide to ignore the contract.

Made in Chelsea
Top post sir!! But that's what happens, idiots breed idiots, who in turn worship even bigger idiots. I see absolutely nothing big and clevefr about them or their lifestyle. I just see a bunch of people who got lucky from their looks and connections. Fortunately, I haven't yet witnessed TOWIE or Geordie shore, and I intend for things to stay that way too.

Swansea v Chelsea (PL) 13/04/14 KO 16:07 BST
To those mentioning the Villa game, we won't be playing against Chris Foy this time, so we should be OK. I still think a goal was coming until that arsehat starting throwing cards around like confetti. I predict a sound win for us. Sure, we will be down a few players, but that's where the depth comes in. We're not that strapped for options.

Diego Costa to Chelsea
As others have said, its the number 9. With Torres gone and a new big name striker in taking up the vacated number 9 shirt, I can't see shirt sales taking a knock. I have a shed load of shirts with names and numbers from over the years, but I do not own a Torres shirt. Never really been all that keen on him. When the new striker is signed (depending who it is) I'll probably throw in for their nameset.

Courtois will not play if we draw Atletico
I have read a few different figures, so I'm not entirely certain how much it would cost them. But even still, any money would be a big gamble. Could you imagine how infuriating it would be if they paid that money and lost? It would be money wasted.

Wouldn't make sense as it would restrict Cechs movements. Plus a deeper lying back line would only invite opposition players to move back and increase the likelihood back deflections. If anything, we had too many bodies piling in at the same time. It was chaotic in that box. No order at all. If anything, Cech or JT should have organised the line a lot better.

Best goal you have ever scored?
Haha me too. I'm 6"2, broad shouldered and shaped like a fridge (a mates words, not mine), which is why I would be a defender if I took it up again. I would never get away with playing up front these days. I would be closed down instantly.

Fifa 14
It's the same with all the annual "series" games. Besides a few minor tweaks and new players/team line ups/kits etc, its the same base game. They could have released FIFA 14 as a marketplace update for FIFA 13. The next gen version of the game is pretty much a previous gen port so its not going to reach the full capabilities of a next gen console until EA start phasing out the older gen console versions (something I can't see happening for a few years yet). They definitely need to start over and give it a complete reboot. Maybe take a year off and come back with something amazing? I would happily wait two years if they make the wait worthwhile. Its just so samey. I tend to limit myself to one/two hour sessions. Mostly due to not having the time to play it more, but also because it bores the s**t out of me if I play any longer. Everything is so repetitive. Including the goals I score. The way the CPU plays, (mostly the offsides) stifles any form of creativity. If FIFA 15 isn't any better than 14, I will be taking another break from buying FIFA titles until major improvements are made. Pointless paying 40 to 50 quid just for kit updates. Also, anybody else use the Game Face virtual pro? May seem trivial, but my Gameface avatar on EA online has facial hair, but it still doesn't get imported onto the game. I've always had a beard so feels weird seeing my pro score with a pre pubescent looking face lol.

Sounds nice, must feel good finishing off a run as opposed to just piledriving in a loose ball like I did, haha.

Hopefully. I would definitely welcome this.

Best goal you have ever scored?
Been absolutely years since I played footie. I used to play for my school team and a local kickabout team when I left college, but I was a right back. Never played for a semi pro or professional team. I wasn't that good. We were playing against a rough school for troubled kids one week. Our forward was absent so I was lumbered up front last minute for some reason. I still remember it because it was the only goal I ever scored for a team. Was taken from a corner. I was positioned on the edge of the box on the far side. The ball took a deflection and bounced pretty much within striking distance. Took it on the half volley and struck the underside of the crossbar and in. We lost the match, though I can't remember the score. Just the goal and coming home with badly bruised legs. They were a dirty side and made horrific tackles. As the only forward, I took a battering that day. Never went up front again.

True. I hope to see him given a shot next season. But I have a feeling he'll go on loan somewhere.

Torres - The "Groundhog Day" Thread
Unbelievable. Some people are outright stupid, Torres, a superstar? Yeah, maybe a few years ago when he at least had a vague idea where the net is. Now, all I see is a lost boy. I say offload him to the highest bidder asap. Done.
