  1. His diving header against United tonight. Get in!! He doesn't just solely rely on Robben and Ribery. I have seen him storm forward on many occasions and score a goal. As I have already said, he is a team player too and is unlikely to corner himself like Torres often does on his one man missions. Its clear that everybody has different opinions. I accept that Costa is a a machine who is on a different level but I think Mandzukic is a great striker aswell. I think he would be great in the Premier League.
  2. Oh wow!!! Hahaha what a dipstick!!! About bloody time they did something. Its not even a case of helping 1 of 20 teams, its a case of supporting your countrymen in a European competition. I bet the FA are always the first to moan when English clubs get eliminated from Europe, but until now, they haven't done anything to help.
  3. I for one am happy with tonights results, no Barca and no United. These semi finals are going to be intense!!! I see us drawing Real in the semis. I'd love it. Though Atletico would be a great tie.
  4. Eurghh, man, that is disgusting. What were they thinking?
  5. Hahaha very good. Watching that definitely put a smile on my face. I love to see good sportsmanship after a devastating loss such as that. Blanc was equally classy after the match aswell. Only person in the PSG camp who didn't impress me with their attitude was their owner who had a real sour mug on him. Overall I am very impressed with PSG.
  6. Absolutely spot on. We definitely want to be easing in those other players now while we can. A baptism of fire in a big game could backfire tremendously. I would be comfortable with that starting 11.
  7. Indeed. Its what I like to see. If the shoe was on the other foot, I would have done the same. It was a fair match and a good result thankfully. Wonder how Lavezzi and Cavani are taking it! That's twice they've lost a 3-1 lead here now. Bet they think they're cursed at this point.
  8. Since when do the toilet journos at the Mirror know anything about sport? They're idiots. Cahill should have been given a 9 at the very least. Were they flicking through games and miss all the times Gary ran the pitch making tackles left and right. The moment he was boxed in in the middle third and found a way out, the time he did that tremendous arc of two tackles, one along the touchline and one towards the centre circle. He was outstanding. That sliced shot was just unlucky. He went for it. Can't possibly blame him for that. Would love to see the journos try it themselves if they thought it was so easy.
  9. Looks like a stroppy child. He should take a leaf out Blanc and his team's book and learn to show respect. But from what zI read, this guy doesn't care about football, nor does he know anything about it, just cares about losing revenue from the latter stage games. If he sacks Blanc, he will earn the title of "Biggest mug on the planet" in my eyes. I think Blanc is a great coach. Hahahaha just had to clean coffee off my wall after seeing that. There should be a caption contest for this pic. Lol. Classy post sir!! That's very true actually. Lots of teams have taken chunks out of him over the course of the season. Most fouled player in the league. Disgraceful that is, the "If you can't beat him, take him out" mentality. I think a rest would do him good anyway. Would give other players a chance to shine and play without relying on the Eden machine bossing defences. I think Willian is going to be vital in our upcoming fixtures. Oscar put in a fantastic performance aswell. Just me? Or does he play better with Eden off the pitch? I love seeing this in football. Sportsmanship. Glad its not been thrown out yet! The press always like to put a negative spin on anything this club does. But then again, we wouldn't be Chelsea if we weren't the big bad villains of the league. Anybody else think Ashley Cole looks like Mr T with that beard and mohawk? Suits him I reckon.

That's what made me give up with the player career and moved onto management instead. Besides non existent progression, its the relentless substitutions that got to me. I could have scored a hat trick and have energy in the green still and still get subbed at half time. Hardly what a manager would do in real life. Sub off their goal machine at half time, who is fully energised and up for it.

Sadly that's the way most businesses operate these days. Out of touch executives in suits (probably never owned a gaming system in their life) sitting in an office spouting off ideas trying to be edgy. And instead of hiring creative people to improve on the ideas and scrap bad ones, they hire a bunch of yes men.I hope they completely overhaul career mode next time, and when I say overhaul, I mean literally start over from scratch. Its just boring and repetitive. No variation in it at all. I started off playing the virtual pro career mode and understand what you mean. My pro was a centre forward with high stamina. The thing that bugged me the most about that mode was that no matter what, my player would get subbed off at the same time every game. Always around the 65 minute mark.I could have scored a hat trick, have a high conversion rate and still have plenty of energy left whilst midfielders were in the red and I would still get substituted. It felt like the game never really upgraded my player from a young youth team amateur to a fully seasoned pro. Also the player rating system sucks on it too. When you get subbed off at half time, you automatically get a 6. score, regardless of how you played. You could have scored a first half hat trick, spent the whole half making key passes and finishing it with a respectable shot to goal conversion rate and you'll still get a six point average. Goalkeepers are worse. Even if you keep a clean sheet, they get a low rating. They need to completely revise it and score players for their performance in the role they are playing in. For instance: - Goalkeepers primarily scored on a clean sheet and if goals were conceded, score them based on the save to goal conceded ratio - Defenders primarily scored on a clean sheet and their successful to failed tackle ratio - Midfielder primarily scored based on their ball distribution - Forwards primarily scored based on their shot to goal ratio Not exactly rocket science. But I guess it is to these suits.
  12. Haha yeah, their posts on their official Facebook page are equally as amusing. Probably 12 year olds who don't get to use the word verbally so really go to town with it on the internet where their parents can't tell them off for it! It seems to be the go to tactic when they cannot win an argument through logic.
  13. One thing about Needlehill that's earned him my respect, he came here to congratulate us after the game. That was a touch of class no matter which way you spin it.
  14. What an excellent birthday present eh. Happy birthday!!
  15. Hahahaha funniest comment I've read in ages. Thats rich considering a vast majority of their fans are in various parts of Asia. Literally every bit of abuse I've received on Facebook (and there has been a fair bit of it) for posting encouraging messages on OUR Facebook page has come from Asian United fans in Malaysia or Indonesia. I literally get private messages from them, usually broken English laced with random insults about my mum. Always worth a laugh. And people wonder why I am absolutely relishing in this current United downturn. Also the reason why I want to see Bayern dump all over them from a great height tommorow. That's one thing I have never understood. Supporting a team whose ground you've never been to in a town/city on the other end of the country, that you have no family connection to and never been to. I often ask my cousin about this as he supports Liverpool (yeah, the whole family is baffled).
  16. Oh definitely, knew something was up from the off. Couldn't put my finger on it until I saw Schürrle warming up, then put two and two together. Maybe Eden isn't suffering from burn out like we suspected. Maybe he's been hiding a niggling injury. I suspected it a little while back when we played Palace. Tonights only criticism is we still struggle with building up for an attack. Not enough creativity in that final third. But we got the result we wanted and that's all that matters to me.
  17. Well said. That was no ordinary team that went out there tonight. That was a team of absolute heroes. I just hope the individual damage isn't too great. I admit, my heart sunk when Hazard limped off. But we didn't skip a beat.
  18. Overall quality wasn't it. Absolutely all of them showed up in force tonight. If only we could play like that every single week... Tonight showed us exactly what we are capable of.
  19. David Luiz more than made up for his own goal too. Particularly with his workrate and shoulder touch to secure Schürrle goal. Even if it was unintentional.
  20. How can I possibly pick just one player from that incredible team performance? Absolutely everybody (including Torres) played their part tonight. Could not have asked anything more from any of them. Schürrle was absolutely stunning. His crossbar rattler was a peach. Such a shame it wasnt a few inches lower. Oscar, the same. Demba ... Whole lotta love for that man after tonights performance. But a man who probably will be overlooked by the press once again. A regular Blues hero, who works his arse off week in week out and always turns up. Our man Cesar, who we affectionately call Dave. He made some outstanding clearances and wing runs. Also Willian had a superb work rate. Cech played a corker. I have zero complaints about any of our lads tonight, they all showed up, put in a superb shift and gave us the result we needed. I knew our lads could do it. Still buzzing.
  21. Manc fans are just always bitter. They know their season is up the swanny and tommorow isn't going to bode too well for them. I would love nothing more than to watch Bayern absolutely bury United and meet us in another final. As I said before, to be the best, you have to beat the best or its a half victory. Listening now. Much more life in the commentary than the cardboard ITV commentary. The game would have been much sweeter with that commentary. Famous last words. How bad must he and Cavani feel having lost out twice at the Bridge now? I wonder if the Napoli game was playing on their minds. They both weren't their usual selves tonight. I had a feeling we would do the business tonight and I wasn't proved wrong. Even though the Arsenal fans I know said otherwise. Fantastic night. I feel a lot better about Anfield now. Besides, we have a Dave!!! Some people will just never get it.... What a pity, nevermind. Jose pulled a master stroke tonight. 5 years in a row, CL semi finals at least. What does that tell you of the man?
  22. I'm glad you stuck around. I had a feeling you would be back win or lose. Millwall? I don't have a problem with them personally, but they are a major London rival of ours. Have been since the beginning of time haha. Didn't help that an old badge of ours looked similar to theirs. So hard feelings were felt from them. As for beers, I had 4. One before, to settle pre match jitters, one in the first halfand two in the second. Broke out my special bottle of cognac afterwards to celebrate. Little tipsy now haha. What about you? I hope we meet again too. PSG were very worthy opponents and I cannot recall another match that made me this nervous since Munich.
  23. I am ecstatic for Ba to be honest, I've said for ages that he should be given a chance, so glad he did get one.
  24. I know I called you out for having a foul attitude earlier. But never mind that. You've earned my respect for this post. Fair play to you chap, this is what football is about to me. Not just the winning, but grace in defeat. Nice one.
