What's wrong with our set pieces and how do we fix it?
Its because we lack precision half the time. Lampards free kicks are getting worse and worse. Its hard to watch. Only reason he forced a tremendous save against PSG the other night was down to a wild deflection. We need a specialist. Even Oscars free kicks have left a lot to be desired of late! What we need is an aerial threat. I know there are many opposed to us signing Mario Mandzukic, but his height and fearsome finishing in the air would change this. At least from a corner stand point. Our lads definitely need to practice set pieces much more. That long throw in to nab Schürrles goal the other night was great but I am unsure if David Luizs back nudge was intended or just a lucky accident.

I just cannot enjoy watching a bunch of spoilt self obsessed narcissistic a**eholes waxing lyrical over who goes to the most exclusive venues or what each other are wearing. . . and the voices. I was unfortunate enough to switch channels and switch back moments later to find the same cretins on that come dine with me program. It seems they made an evening of them. Was about to switch off but decided to watch a bit to see if they were any different. Yeah, they were but they were even worse. The snobbiness really shined through even more on that show. Ended up sticking a DVD on in the end. British broadcasting really has taken a tremendous dip down the toilet these days.

Fifa 14
Yeah. That's FIFA for you. It surprises me how they have yet to get the offside system right on it. The decisions are spot on most of the time, but there are still moments when the whistle is blown when a player who is not offside gets the ball. For instance, I love diagonal forward passing through the midfield or wing positions for attackers to chase and run on goal. But often I am hindered due to an offside player moving forward, not touching the ball and and as soon as another player gets it, I get a whistle. Equally annoying is the player positioning. I often refer to team mates as the CPUs 12th man. It places them in offside positions during incredible movements. Spoils so many decent goal opportunities. Like earlier, I slipped the perfect through ball, player was in perfect position for an outstanding run, but the replay showed some berk running a fraction off. Though I did score an absolute stunner against manure earlier with Mario Mandzukic (in a Chelsea shirt). Lovely forward diagonal dink pass finished with a savage volley from beyond the 30 yards mark. Its moments like this that make me fall back in love with the game despite its silly moments.

Forever Blue - New Kit Reveal 04/04/2014
I love this seasons home and third shirts, but something about the white shirt that doesn't sit right with me. The horizontal striping spoils it. Though that's just my opinion of course! I'm sure many would disagree.

Forever Blue - New Kit Reveal 04/04/2014
This years 3 kits? They are nice, but not overly keen on this years white shirt. I think last years is one of the best combinations of shirts as I like (and own all 3 in long sleeve). Especially the black and yellow "six pack" shirt as me and mates call it. Its so striking.

The gold trim kit is great. Wearing it now with Terry on the back :-) The new shirt is nicer though in my opinion. Very classy.

Mario Mandzukic
Glad we are clear and respectfully agree to disagree Scott ;-) I just think its a bit wrong to write him off is all. He has an impressive work rate and I fancy him as a number 9. Besides, there is pre season to iron out any wrinkles in link up play. Mandzukic is a higher quality striker than he is given credit for and I think everybody here would be utterly pissed off if we didn't sign him but a rival team does and winds up having him as a top scorer. I guess we'll find out just how dangerous he is if we draw Bayern in the CL.

I don't think so. An international coach trying to push a player into a move from his parent club could be construed in many ways. I find it completely offensive and has firmly placed him into the "tosser" category in my opinion. An international coach should not be making such remarks. If this was any other big club, there's would be a s**tstorm over it.

Forever Blue - New Kit Reveal 04/04/2014
Nice, I am going for Azpilicueta for this new blue shirt. Will most likely get Matic on the yellow kit. Will definitely not be buying the 3rd shirt if that's legit. I will be waiting until the end of the season before getting them printed. If we win the prem, I'll be getting the gold patches and if we win the Champions League, I'll be getting the CL name set on one with the CL winners patch.

http://metro.co.uk/2014/04/09/belgium-boss-urges-eden-hazard-to-quit-chelsea-and-join-psg-4693905/ This tosser should keep his ill informed opinions to himself. Not impressed in the slightest here. Very unprofessional. Surely its not an international managers place to meddle with a players club life?? There should be sanctions for that type of behaviour.

Do you hum the MOTD theme whilst doing it? Mate of mine did it the other night and it cracked me up to the point where I had to pause.

Mario Mandzukic
I understand what you are saying Scott and its all well and good. But this is clearly a weakness in our game that needs sorting out surely? Whilst it is a strikers job to create openings and get the ball in the net at any opportunity, what is our attacking midfield/wingers job? To distribute the ball and create openings too. Basically, what you are saying (this is how it sounds to me) is that whatever striker/s we get in the summer will be expected to be doing all of the work in that final third. Ribery and Robben do set up Mandzukic a fair bit, but that is them playing their positions, making the most of the space they occupy and making holes to assist their striker. I'm not being an arse or trying to be argumentative here.

Even still, I don't like the idea of not being in complete control. CPU isnt all that great at passing to your player in that mode.

Courtois will not play if we draw Atletico
Even still, I don't fancy them. When they have the ball, they are lethal, with or without Costa.

Champions League 2013/14
I don't think it would count as defending it would it? We won it two seasons ago. Bayern won it last term.

Forever Blue - New Kit Reveal 04/04/2014
The yellow one (not the two striped fake above) will be our away kit, but this horrific black and electric blue shirt looks to be our third shirt. I will be majorlky disappointed if it is. We've had consistently nice kits lately, be a shame to have another ugly one.

Edinson Cavani - £50m
Another great player, but his injury concerns me big time. Anterior cruciate ligament injuries often reoccur and can impact a players performance. I hear he may be back in time for the world cup, but will he still be the same player? Not a gamble I'd like to take to be honest.

Fifa 14
I always play as the whole team. Find it too restrictive and disorientating playing as just one player. I play as a striker and like clockwork, always getting subbed at 65 mins in. Sometimes at half time, which affects my targets for the month, which costs me XP. Its not due to poor performance or stamina either as I use the second wind boost plus my player has naturally high stamina anyway. Just irritating and spoils the game. Especially when you're trying to hit targets and accomplishments.

Forever Blue - New Kit Reveal 04/04/2014
Also the lack of Adidas logo. As for switching the aways and thirds, no way. I think black kits are good for a second alternative. Especially if it means seeing this new black and turquoise abomination more than a few times next season! Looks like somebody submitted it for a joke and it unexpectedly got used. I'd hate to think somebody at Adidas was serious when designing that.

ROBOCOP (2O14)
Good point. Even the Spiderman reboots have got a reboot now with the Amazing Spiderman. Getting ridiculous now.

ROBOCOP (2O14)
I too cannot stand remakes. The fact that some Hollywood berk thinks he can do a better job is just an insult to the cult classic originals. Its also a clear indication that Hollywood has run out of ideas and only interested in cashing in on somebody else's work. Its the directorial equivalent of tracing a picture, adding an extra tree in the background and claiming it as their own. Against my better judgement, I have seen a few remakes and none of them could even hold a candle to the originals. I have had several friends come back from this one saying it was terrible and tame.

I saw this on the EPG and switched it over to see what it was about... awful. Absolute garbage. Not seen so many pretentious self absorbed toffs in one place since my former career in banqueting. This is what we pay our television license for? Anyone else seen it? No wonder people abroad think we're snooty nose in the air types if this is what's being served on television networks.

Mario Mandzukic
So everybody keeps saying, but he and Lewandowski are joint top scorers. There can't be that much of a gulf in class if they have scored equally.
-
Edinson Cavani - £50m
He is a good striker don't get me wrong, he would make a great signing, but was expecting more danger from him down the middle after all that build up. Glad he didn't obviously, but you know what I mean. I sdont think Kroos will leave Bayern unless its a bloody good offer. He knows where his bread is buttered at the end of the day. He is at a dominant club. Being paid well. He certainly wouldn't join United haha.

Edinson Cavani - £50m
Nope. Kroos is staying put: http://www.espn.co.uk/football/sport/story/298663.html As for Cavani, I think he was a bit underwhelming at the Bridge. That shot after the first goal... should have buried that one.
