Antonio Conte - Now Officially Manager
I remember the long spell in the middle of the season during Carlo's second season when we went winless in 6 league games and won 2 out of 11 between gameweeks 11 and 21. We started that season brilliantly and then threw it all away during that bizarre spell. I hope the club supports Conte to strengthen the team/squad and hope he stays at least till the end of his contract. It wouldn't make any sense for us to go hunting for a new manager when we already have a very good one. Yes, we've had some frustrating results but I think it would be hard to find many coaches out there of Conte's caliber

Bet against your own team
I never bet, but don't see why betting against your own team should be a problem. Betting and hoping your team loses does not affect the real result in any way whatsoever, and if they do lose, the money won would make up for your sorrow for the team's loss. If you lose the bet, you wouldn't feel so bad either because your team won. So I would say it's a win win

West Ham Vs Chelsea (PL) Sat 9th Dec 2017 KO 12:30 GMT
I knew we weren't going to retain the league going into the season, but losing to such dross is just unacceptable. How have we managed to lose to both Crystal Palace and West Ham? Getting beat by Roy Hodgson and David Moyes is really hard to take.

I hope we can stop that w**ker Chicharito from scoring. He always seems to score against us. I'm never confident going into such games, but it's a good opportunity to put pressure on the manc clubs. Hope we win

If you really think he has committed only 1 error leading to a goal, you must be blind. You are not worth my time to go looking for the specific matches in which he made such errors.

I may be wrong, but his lack of celebration may have more to do with the recent deaths in Egypt than us

I can count at least 1 time when he was dispossesed carelessly in midfield leading to a goal and I am sure there are others so it's not just 1 error. I normally don't get on players' backs but he has been quite disappointing

Disappointing goal to concede. How many times has a Bakoyoko error directly led to a goal? He must step up! It's unacceptable that he keeps making these costly mistakes. We could have played better but a point is a decent result

Indeed I remember that. It was so infuriating. I hope we take our chances this time. It's about time Conte beats that w**ker

If there is a game in the PL I enjoy us winning the most, it is this fixture. Beating these at Klanfield is always a delight, so I'm hoping we can do it again on Saturday. I am cautiously optimistic about the game. I think our attack is developing quite nicely and we will cause them problems. Also, Conte isn't tactically naive to set us up for them to exploit, so I hope we win or at least draw. I just hope our defense doesn't sh*t the bed when they come up against their skillful players like they did against Wilfred f**king Zaha. Four PL wins in a row now and 8 winnable (on paper) fixtures after this game until Arse away. If we don't f**k up, we can consolidate 3rd place or even overtake Utd for 2nd place. Come on Chelsea!!!!

David Luiz back at Chelsea
I'm kinda sad about his situation. He doesn't strike me like the type to throw a strop, but appearances can be deceptive. I always get the feeling he gives his best. Whether that is always good enough is another discussion. Hopefully, whatever happened has been dealt with and he gets back in the team. With the packed schedule, we definitely need his cover in both defense and midfield

Chelsea Vs Man Utd (PL) Sun Nov 5th 2017 16:30 UK
Some Utd fans seem to think he is one of the best defenders in the league. On redcafe, they have a thread titled "Forget about Last year, is Phil Jones the best defender in the league?" or something to that effect. Hilarious really

I think he did so because of our recent troubles. He got the impression that they could beat us if they went for it, and that turned out to be a blessing in disguise for us. We may have struggled more against a parked bus.

Agreed. The Burnley, and especially Palace results were very infuriating. We would have been second without those horrific results. Regardless of our injury situation, we should have beaten Palace as they are absolutely sh*te. Anyways, I hope Conte stays and builds a lasting legacy.

Emanalo The Problem
You guys seen this? https://weaintgotnohistory.sbnation.com/2017/11/7/16617832/chelsea-fc-michael-emenalo-marina-granovskaia-everton-ross-barkley-antonio-conte-rumour-report Don't know how true it is, but if it indeed is true, I honestly don't know what to make of it. It would be a good thing if it means Conte gets more say in transfer dealings. Otherwise, it would be absolutely bizarre, as I would have thought the position would have gone to someone with a football/coaching background. Interesting times ahead.

Amazing, isn't it? For all our troubles, we are only 1 point behind the incredible Man U and Spurs. I will be shocked if he is sacked, but this is Chelsea, so you never know. We seriously need some stability and I think he is the right man to provide it. I am pleased he is showing the players who is boss and hope the club back him, but I am not holding my breath.

I am expecting a 2015/16 season repeat again
Do you want a f**king medal? Jeez, a lot of people agreed with you on the thread, but this gloating is just stupid, to say the least.

Also, about half of that money went to replacing Costa and Matic. We didn't strengthen the team and didn't address our weak areas, especially the wing backs. Overall, I think we are weaker this season than last, and to make matters worse, some of our rivals have improved. I expected this season to be tough, and so far it's proving to be so. I hope we can make Top 4.

Leicester Vs Chelsea (PL) Sat 09 Sep 2017 KO 15:00 GMT
The last 25 or so minutes were a bit stressful, but overall, a comfortable victor even though we should have scored more. I absolutely love Conte. Top notch manager without the baggage. Hope we continue on this trajectory. I wasn't very confident of a title challenge going into the season, but if we continue this way, we may be up there or thereabouts at the end of the season. Bring on Qarabag

Not giving any credence to the rumors, but I wonder why these rumors persist. Surely not all of the stories are made up? Call me naive, but I don't buy into the notion that the media are trying to destabilize Chelsea. I will be very shocked if the club let Conte go. You would expect both parties to be reasonable enough to find a way forward on any disagreements, but you never know with Chelsea.

I am expecting a 2015/16 season repeat again
I am also worried about the season. I don't think the team is good enough to go deep in the Champions League and don't see who we can realistically bring in to strengthen it. Also, the squad is very thin. However, I think Conte is a genius, and if the board listens to him and gets him some of the players he wants, we may still do well. I don't expect us to challenge for the title, but neither do I expect us to be 2015/16 bad either. We should be able to make Top 4.

Matic has somehow become a scapegoat while Fabregas continues to start every game. Mind boggling.

Costa should cut out this nonsense from his game. WTF??

Following Our Nearest & Dearest Rivals, 2015/2016
It's weird seeing City look more solid defensively than us. They also know how to pass the ball very well and create lots of chances. Barring serious injuries, I think they will win the league.

Eva Carneiro
You don't create siege mentality by throwing your own people under the bus. This whole incident is very unfortunate. Jose implying that Hazard was feigning injury makes it no better. Even if the doctors were wrong, there was no need to express his grievance in public. The club really has to learn how to handle bad results without generating negative press, as has mostly been the case.
