Random Rumours
My bad, I was thinking of Gedson Fernandes who has recently gone to Spurs on loan......doh!

But he doesn't score many goals going by his stats. They are better off trying to get Pogba back to full fitness.

Why though? Is there anything special about him. We don't need to panic buy, which I feel like some of you want.

We didn't struggle, Burnley had little spells but never really looked dangerous. As for signings I can't see any decent players moving in this window, you know, players that will actually strengthen us.

Moussa Dembele
Ings, no thank you. He's just going through a purple patch but he is in no way the calibre we require.

Chelsea v Burnley (PL) Sat 11th Jan 15:00 GMT
I know Jorginho is quite vocal on the pitch but overall we need a natural leader. It's no coincidence that VVD made the biggest difference to Liverpool, as without him I'd seriously doubt they would be so far ahead on points. We need players of that ilk, who can really strengthen what we currently have. I'm actually pretty excited as we really have the potential to win trophies in the next few years for a long period. Watch Real or Barca when they start sniffing round for Mane and Salah, we all know what that is like with Hazard. Anyway, a fantastic 3 points yesterday against a potential bogey team with a clean sheet to boot.

Not really, I remember Hazard being the invisible man quite often in these kind of games. We just need better movement and options, it is all very disjointed at the mo.

Dave with a really average floaty cross, give it some bloody oomph man.

I would bring Kovacic on for Kante if we don't improve in the next ten minutes. At the back we always look so awkward when we pass it round the back four, especially Zouma.

Moussa Dembele
Dembele looks more like a Chelsea type player, more agile and athletic to.

Super Frank Lampard
Robertson and Trent Alexander-Arnold are two of the biggest reasons Liverpool are so great attacking wise, so the quicker we move players like Emerson on and use players like James and Lamptey the better.

Yup, that worked best in my view. I love Kante but him coming back disrupted the overall flow of the team.

Spuds v Chelsea (PL) Sun 22nd Dec 16:30 GMT
What we have to remember is that our younger players are still learning, we also have a new style and tactics to adapt to as well so it was always going to be a season where things won't always go as well as we want them to. I'm so glad we aren't as one dimensional as we were under Sarri. For me yesterdays game was a tactical masterclass from Frank and it was a massive credit to the whole team to put everything in to making it work. I really think the formation really suited us personally and gets the best out players like Alonso who was fantastic. Onwards and upwards, COYB!!

3 points and a clean sheet to boot, I love the smell of roasted Spuds!

It wasn't that long ago in the season where Jorginho and Kovacic where our two main men, with Kante returning I find Frank has struggled with balance.

Alonso can score as well, it is a shame he isn't quicker. Get Tomori back in the squad as to.

I'm not going to be too hard on the team or Frank as there is still a lot of learning to do. I am frustrated that we seem to be the winning ticket for teams that are struggling and I really hope we can sort that out. Personally I just think it's a lack of confidence rather than a lack of ability. We do need quality additions in January to give us that boost to push on. The Spurs game will be a huge test and it is vital we get the 3 points.

Chelsea v Lille (CL) Tues 10th Dec 20:00 GMT
Jorginho and Kovacic in the middle for me, we played some great football with that combination. Get Tomori back in as well over Christensen and play James at RB over Dave, with Emerson at LB. Give CHO a start instead of Pulisic.

Everton v Chelsea (PL) Sat 7th Dec 12:30 GMT
Yup, we seem to be the perfect team to play when others are lacking form, it's very frustrating.

So we can open our wallet again...
No to Mitrovic, he's not on our level.

So we can open our wallet again...
We do need a decent back up striker, Giroud and Bats just don't do it for me. I would get Cavani on the cheap (out of contract next summer) as a backup for Tammy, we don't want to overdo it in January and he would be keen to get involved no doubt. In regards to strengthening we need to be careful of taking away opportunities for our younger members of the squad. When Rudiger is back we will have him, Zouma, Christensen and Tomori so I don't see the point on splashing money out on a player like Koulibaly. It's a tough one for Frank really as you don't want to unsettle the team too much.

Super Frank Lampard
We definitely play a much better style of football and having a refreshed squad with players like Tammy, Tomori, James etc just gives us a better connection to the team. What a shame Eden didn't give it one more season, he would have thrived even more in our current squad. I think we will just get better and better the more experience we gain. Apart from the West Ham game where we were poor, I feel we deserved more when we played City and Liverpool in the season.

Super Frank Lampard
I think we have just been unlucky in our losses to any of the top sides in the league. I think we just have to stick with how we are playing and the results will come against those teams, the only thing we lack is maybe experience to see those games out but we have an abundance of talent, ambition and drive that will see us through those games eventually. I also look at where Liverpool and City finished in their first season under Klopp and Guardiola and so far we are better than they ever were under a new manager and a refreshed youthful squad.

Man City v Chelsea (PL) Sat 23rd Nov 17:30 GMT
I would play Jorginho, Kante and Kovacic to be really solid in the middle, then Mount, Abraham and Willian as the attacking trio. The back four I would choose is Dave, Tomori, Zouma and James.
