December 29, 20196 yr Really looking forward to this game as managed to get tickets for my daughter and I and we only live a couple of miles from the Amex. COME ON THE CHELS
December 29, 20196 yr Seems like the match to try reverting to Kova-Jorginho midfield in 4-2-3-1. Not easy to know what to do with the back four but at least we know who to rule out immediately. No prizes for guessing. Assuming no James or Alonso: Kepa Tomori(?) Rudiger Zouma Azpi Kovacic Jorginho Willian Mount Pulisic/CHO (much better today) Abraham
December 29, 20196 yr We need to go on a run! We have a bit of a dilemma I think with our full backs as alonso may not be fit, Emerson needs to get his head sorted out. Reece is probably still out. kepa Lamptey rudi zouma azbi kante jorginho kova willy Abraham pulisic
December 29, 20196 yr Do we have a stat of the 3 formations we have been using this season: 3-4-3, 4-3-3 and 4-2-3-1? Which is the winningest?
December 29, 20196 yr Oh away again? Good. Willy Cab James/Lamptey----Zouma----Tomori-----Alonso/Dave Kovacic----Jorginho------Mount Willian------Abraham------Pulisic/CHO

It's absolute madness given how good the Watford game was that we've only seen the Jorginho, Kovacic and Mount midfield trio once since (and handicapped them by playing rusty and not match fit Giroud and Pedro). That's the one big gripe I've had with Frank so far, he's gone on record critisizing Sven selecting based on reputation while managing England yet he fell into that exact same trap breaking up a midfield that was working so so well to accommodate Kante's return.

Was that really the last time? So since international break then... And since international break we've only won 3 matches and lost 5. I don't think Kante moves the ball around quick enough, he doesn't play to his best when we're dominating the game.

Yeah the only other time they've played as a trio from the off was WHU at home when we played 2 past it players not properly match fit up top.
December 30, 20196 yr Australia’s own Aaron Mooy has been doing well for Brighton this season and Maupay is decent. Still I think we should do ok. I’d like to see pulisic back in the side better off with a back 4 as we have no wingbacks. If jame and alonso are unfit I’d be very tempted to go with Lamptey Rudigier Zouma Dave jorginho kovacic Mount/Kante willian Tammy pulisic/cho

December 30, 20196 yr Hopefully we continue our recent away performances and wins at Spuds and Arsenal. Can we please have a high tempo and correct attitude from the first whistle. Come on Chelsea !

December 30, 20196 yr Think we will struggle, really need to improve our ability to score from set pieces. We only won yesterday due to GK error and Arsenal chased the result giving Tammy some space on the break.

Can’t we just enjoy the win?

We eon because we were well on top, dominating possession and position and putting huge pressure on them, pressure that led to us scoring.
December 30, 20196 yr Let's be clear here why we won against Spurs and Arsenal: blue socks. Not change of formation, not goalkeeping error. Blue. Socks. We should start wearing them at home.

We have seen against WHU, Bournemouth and Southampton that possession does not necessarily win games.
