Sad news for us. He's been a very good, consistent defender. Far better than the French trio we spent megabucks on and now can't sell. I know the club have to raise money - and we've been good at that over the years - but his departure weakens the squad IMO.

He’s an OK LB, nothing special, over the course of a full PL season I think we’d all admit his errors and lack of positional awareness outweigh his Hollywood moments. He’s a YT Highlight player, not a serious footballer.
We looked a lot better toward the end of the year with Hato at LB, whose trajectory is on the increase as opposed to Cucu who is already at his peak.
The sale isn’t an issue. What is an issue is if we go and spend the same amount on an inferior player who isn’t PL proven (see Pep Chavvario)

I don't see why you believe they didn't do what Tuchel wanted, he had his teams do the exact same thing while at Chelsea, he had englams do it against Mexici and Norway, and praised them for their mental strength while doing it.
Its how he always goes against big teams after nicking a goal, go deep, go conpact, fill the box with defenders and take off any outlets, rely on scrambling to a win.
Its the most insane 40 minutes I've ever seen by a top coach in a big game, he got literally every single thing wrong.
Its 100% on him as he was brought in to ensure this exact situation didnt happen, he even said himself thats what he was here to do, taking an unnecessary dig at Southgate, who I hope was sat watching it laughing his arse off.

Absolute bo**ocks, these players seem to manage it when playing for some of the best teams in Europe, all the team on the weekend play for teams that get to the final few in the CL, theres nothing wrong with their mentality.
What we saw was Tuchel do what he has done with his teams for years, score and shut up shop, get deeper and more compact, pull wide attackers back and in. It worked against Mexico and Norway, just, the difference is Argentina are better and if you just concede all the pitch and ball to a team like them then they will score.
Tuchel said he was brought in to "fix" all that, and yet didnt, he was as bad if not worse than all our other coaches. Not even surprised hes blaming players again, its his go to when things fail.

Tuchel made a point of ciriticising Southgate when he got the job, saying how he knows what were missing and how to get us playing to win. He then did everything Southgate used to do multiplied by 10, I would love to see Southgate come out and just say "Hey Tuchel, f**k you"....

With the way the Argies have behaved towards us, I genuinely would be very happy if we never signed one of their players again. It was real eye opener, or reminder, just how much they hate us.

Up until our goal we matched them all over the pitch. If the players weren't good enough, we wouldn't have been 1-0 up.
Tuchel picked these players, Tuchel decided to hook every attacker and sit everyone in our box.
We have winners throughout this team with the likes of Kane, Bellingham, James, Stones, Rice etc. and Tuchel killed us with his cowardice, not for the first ime in his career. He's done this multiple times going ultra defensive and losing big games in the dying minutes. Unacceptable and the blame lies solely with the German. Get him gone.
