  1. Maresca-ball is all about the work rate and being able to pass back rather than beating your man with skill.
  2. Bar Acheampong, that defence has absolute disaster written all over it!
  3. It was a crazy ending. I nearly went to bed at 2-2, but you could sense there were more goals in the game and WHAT an ending. THAT is what football is all about and why we love the game.
  4. Easily done - he was never all that.
  5. He certainly need to play a lot more but I wouldn't start him every game. Along with Palmer he is far & away the player who will cause opponents problems and with Palmer out injured, Estevao should have been playing more. But sometimes, it's good to have such a gool option on the bench to bring on and change a game. Maresca's problems is that he never does it soon enough.
  6. Came on and did nothing?
  7. Unfortunately I think it's inevitable that he ends up at RM, but let's hope that like Hazard, we get a lot of good seasons out of him beforehand. Note to Maresca: Play him every game as I don't think we'll need to worry about him by the time he's 26................................!!!
  8. Need I ask how Jackson did?!!
  9. Already rumours about Real Madrid monitoring him. They can f**k right off.
  10. A lot will depend on how Palmer's form is when he returns from injury. He is Chelsea's star player, but his form was patchy last season (no doubt down to the niggling injury) and I could understand TT leaving him out of the starting 11. BUT if he hits his previous levels of performance he should be a nailed on starter. Obviously I'm biased, but he would be the first name on the team sheet for me. Would have him ahead of Foden, Bellingham and Saka as he is more capable of winning a game (like he did v PSG) than any of the others.
  11. Certainly one of his best performances on Saturday. More of that and he might even start getting a bit of praise from @loz!!
  12. What a good decision you made there. First 45 minutes was up there as one of the dullest I can recall. Maresca-Ball at its finest. We had to improve and thankfully we did. Have to say, Enzo's best game for a long time and the introduction of Estevao was the lift that everyone needed and he helped to cement the win. But not a game that will last long in the memory.
  13. Thankfully Wolves haven't got Rob Edwards so they are in limbo. But it's all set up isn't it. Wolves no wins and only 2 points from 10 games. Expect Maresca to over-think this and give us another one of his classic line-ups. He MUST play our strongest possible line-up for this one which means no George, Gusto or Tosin and see's Acheampong back in the defence. Anything other than a GOOD win and he should be under more pressure.
  14. Didn't want us to sign him and have seen nothing that changes that opinion. Odd goal aside, he doesn't look particularly quick, goes down too easily and just looks a bit naff. Gittens looks better until he has one of those games where football seems alien to him (and he's having a few of those games!)

Unbelievable how a strong and fit looking lad like Lavia can suffer so many injuries. Great player but of no use unless they can sort this out.
  16. Plus got The Ashes to look forward too. Cricket isn't everyone's cup of tea, but The Ashes is always good and again, a whole lot better than suffering Maresca-Ball.
  17. We're just going around in circles. Many of us can't stand the bloke, 'cos he is stubborn, clearly has his favourites (who keep under-performing) and the football he dishes up, despite a billion pound squad, is largely dreadful to watch. But then he somehow manages to get a good result or two and you think, "maybe he is learning and perhaps we should persevere". Only to then be followed by a performance like last night, or Brighton, or Sunderland or Wolves second half, and you end up detesting the bloke all over again. We need rid, but we know he ain't going anywhere so we just have to keep on this "rollercoaster" that actually isn't as it is about 5% highs and 95% lows. No wonder so many CFC supporters are looking for new hobbies.
  18. Only one real shining light last night. Estevao.
  19. Every time I have seen Acheampong I have thought he looked very decent. MOTM on at least one occasion. So why no minutes again and yet Hato and Tosin can continue to f**k up so badly? Maresca clearly has his favourites (Enzo in particular) and will play them regularly regardless. He just doesn't learn - thinks he knows best but it's one step forward two steps back all the time and it won't change all the time Maresca is here.
  20. It was bad but still not Bakayoko v Watford level!!
  21. Yeah, not good. Have to say, great goal by Van de Ven though. Any player would be happy with that goal, never mind a centre back!!
  22. I was joking - although he was bad to start with.
  23. Makes our game against them on the 30th November Massive. What are the chances of Cole Palmer being back for that? Be great if we could field our strongest side (bar Colwill) that day and blow them away like we did PSG. Need to put some goals past them day day and give them a wake-up call!
  24. To be fair, our games had the least goals and there wasn't a lot of quality. 1-0's tend to slip down the list unless it's a top of the table clash.
  25. We really dodged a bullet there. Folk have been moaning about Gittens but he looks 100% better than Simons. So good to see him at Spurs!! As for the game Saturday, have never looked so comfortable against Spurs. We never really looked in danger and it should have easily been 3 or 4 nil. Not the best of games as a spectical - very scrappy with little quality. Was moaning when I saw the starting line-up but thankfully Spurs were that poor it didn't matter. Estevao should have come on much sooner for Neto who was pretty ineffective but 3 points against the spuds - Happy days!
