  1. See, I think we have all felt like that since this new regime took over. Many of us have commented about never feeling so detached from the club (a club I've supported 50 + years @loz in case you weren't aware of that!) But then like the other night v City, you put the game on, and as much as you don't want to care, you just can't help it - it's in our blood FFS! As I said earlier, will go into this with an open mind. IF Rosenoir gets us playing better football and the likes of Palmer & Estevao etc excel, then fine, but no doubt that will be countered by our wonderful SD's forcing more sh*t (over-priced) signings on the poor bloke and I expect we will be back to square one before we know it.
  2. Although not my choice (and not even anywhere near this list of who I would like) am resigned to the fact that Rosenior is going to be our new coach so will be open minded and see how things pan out. Don't think it will be hard to get an improvement in our football and results as long as he selects the right players and leaves out the dross. Even McFarlane was able to do that after working with the squad for only a couple of days. KTBFFH...........!
  3. Every now and again (once in a blue moon), Neto does something really good and/or puts in something close to a MOTM performance and you think, yeah, handy to have in the squad. But now we have Estevao, he shouldn't be starting regularly ahead of him. He's had more than enough chances to nail down a place but has failed and Estevao needs a lot more game-time than he has had up to now.
  4. Amorin sacked by Man Utd. Wonder if Utd will go for Glasner (although he likes London)?
  5. He really did help change the game yesterday. So noticeable how he looks to play the ball forward at every opportunity. The likes of Badiashille and Chalobah were constantly passing backwards and sideways whereas Santo was making those great forward passes and completely opening things up for us. Surely if you're a coach and you know the player has that ability, you HAVE to play him?
  6. Deserved point after a spirited second half display. City looked to be playing within themselves and should have been more than one up so they must be kicking themselves but we defended well and largely frustrated them. Was scratching my head when Acheampong got subbed as thought he was our best defender and did wonder if Maresca was still calling the shots. Shortly after we all over the place with Hato looking shaky and Trev hitting a dreadful ball across his own box and I thought the second City goal was bound to come. But thankfully we recovered and everyone played well after that, with Santos refreshingly playing the ball forward at every opportunity. He has to play more. Palmer nowhere near his best but thankfully others upped their game, although not sure why Neto stayed on and Estevao was subbed early, unless he had a niggle? Now lets beat Fulham...............................
  7. Was it tactical that he was subbed at HT today or did he have a knock? I know we looked a lot better in the second half, but frustrating to see Neto on the pitch doing very little rather than Estevao.
  8. He did a whole lot more than Pedro did in a lot less time. He is a bit of a bettering ram at times nut thought he helped turn the game today.
  9. Was really impressed with him today - not quite sure why he was subbed again? Carries the ball well and although I know he originally lost the ball when Haarland broke away, but WHAT a great recovery tackle. Needs to start more often than not.
  10. Picks for me today were Acheampong and James and then thought Santos and Delap both did really well when they came on. Fernandez too deserves praise for being a lot better and even Gusto who annoyed me for a lot of the game but great work for the goal. James MOTM though.
  11. Just remember that he was November Manager of the Month!
  12. You speak for most of us there Jezz.
  13. Yep. There are many on this Forum who have supported CFC for a LONG time, but we're now of an age, where it's no longer the most important thing in our lives. Don't get me wrong, I still get totally pissed off when we lose and/or play badly, and CFC still often ruin my weekends, but I try not to let that be the case now. This new regime have totally soured things for me and many and have lost count of the number of supporters saying they have never felt so detached from the club. We're not alone - many other supporters out there feel the same - look at West Ham right now. I do hope the younger generation and those who attend all the home games make a stand and make their voices heard - it needs to happen. Said in the Vintage thread recently about how much more enjoyable following Chelsea was back in the '80's, despite the lack of success. Can't see that being the case again all the time BlueCo are involved but we can but hope things improve.
  14. Why isn't there already one? Standards are slipping people!
  15. Never going to happen. It's like when folk say boycott garages as petrol prices are too high - supply and demand. Too many tourists at the ground these days and it's growing all the time, so they don't care as long as they can take their photos and get their stuff in the Megastore.
  16. This and all the other great photo's of the past you guys post, just make me miss the club I have always loved. We might not have been winning Club World Cups, but somehow things were a lot more enjoyable. SIGH....................................
  17. Heard the breaking news when out earlier with little phone signal. Was ecstatic for a few seconds but then the realisation hit that Eghbali & Co will just appoint another no hope yes-man - probably Rosenoir and this circus will continue. Pray for an appointment like Glasner or Fabregas - really think either of them could bring good football and success but no point dreaming under this regime. If they do appoint Rosenoir then for me, the season is as good as over. We really are a joke of a club right now - it sickens me.
  18. So refreshing to see this kid take on defenders and not do what Garnacho and Neto do - frustrate the f**k out of everyone. He has it in abundance. Might not come off every time but he is making the opposition defenders work and giving them some nightmares. I'm all for managing youngsters but this kid HAS to start games more often than not rather than the dross that is starting ahead of him. Clear MOTM last night.
  19. Estevao surely the only contender although James did well when he came on. Assume the person who voted for Fernandez (our 90 minute man) literally only saw his goal.
  20. Wouldn't include Poch with the other two useless f**kwits. Poch might not have been everyone's ideal choice but I would take him back in a heartbeat over the fraud Maresca. No way would we be playing this sh*t brand of dull football and having to watch the likes of Badiashille and Gusto if Poch was in charge and I'm certain Acheampong and Estevao would have been getting a lot more playing time too. So want this dreadful Maresca Era to be over. The end cannot come soon enough.
  21. Sometimes you are unlucky to lose games. But that defeat today is 100% on Maresca. We were so in control of that game it was almost embarrassing. But any fool could see Emeri would change things and Maresca's answer was to keep on Badiashille and Neto and also throw on Gusto, Gittens and Delap. Handed the victory to Villa on a plate. "Here you go Villa - have some of that - Merry Christmas". He HAS to go.
  22. By Badiashille standards, he had a decent first half, but I think that has more to do with how bad Villa were first 45. Said to my son, he has at least one (usually more) error in every game and so it was to be. Just had to be a sh*t Badiashille pass that got Villa back into a game they had no right to be in. The match turned on that one sh*t pass and if you asked before the game, who was most likely to make that pass, the answer was always going to be BADIASHILLE. Yet maresca plays him ahead of Acheampong who always looks decent. And Maresca also loves Gusto who he brings on only for said Gusto to then f**k up for the second Villa goal. You have to wonder if he is trying to get the sack with these kind of decisions?
  23. Can always rely on Chelsea to ruin Christmas. Maybe not ruin as Christmas has been decent (despite the efforts of the in-laws), but f**k me, what a downer. Just knew when we went off at HT that it wouldn't last. That the better coach would change things and Maresca would get out-coached AGAIN, But even I didn't foresee those three subs. Who in their right f**king mind would think it a good idea to take off Cucurella and bring on Gusto, Gittens and Delap? And then take off Palmer (who admittedly wasn't at his best) but leave Neto on who had been piss poor whole game? Leave Palmer on you dimwit and let Estevao play wide right and let them try and link up. Two mistakes by two you would predict - Badiashille and Gusto and they are both on Maresca. It's so predictable it's becoming boring. Next time Chelsea are on I might just watch Call The Midwife with the mother-in law - it will save a lot of pain and anger.
  24. Watched a bit and it was sleep inducing. Ditto the Arsenal v Everton game the other day too. So many boring games in the PL. Have to say our game against Newcastle was one of the few exceptions. Newcastle always tend to play well at home and it was a dreadful watch for any CFC supporter first 45 but the second half was just how football should be. End to end - both teams trading blows and either team could have won it and you couldn't predict it. PL needs more games like that otherwise folk will start switching off / stop attending.
  25. Rogers is definitely in the sort of form Palmer was a while back when he then broke into the England team. We need Caicedo to nullify Rogers and hope that Palmer is back to his best if we're going to get a result in this game.
