Raheem Sterling signs for Chelsea
Maybe they are negotiating a two for one special deal!

Raheem Sterling signs for Chelsea
Just be nice to draw a line under this once and for all. Dreadful decision to sign him in the first place - bar the odd game, he just didn't fit in. Be nice not to have to read about a player who never plays still being on £300k per week.

Sorry to here that. Rest and get well soon.

Cole Palmer signs for Chelsea!
No Way. You need more than one quality player in the side who can cause the opposition problems. To rely on Estevao alone would be putting huge pressure on an 18 year olds shoulders.

Pedro Neto *Official*
Neto does seem to be a one good game in ten merchant. After yesterday he has to be benched.

Crystal Palace vs Chelsea (PL) Sunday 25th January 14:00 GMT
The subs yesterday were frustrating as we were poor afterwards - especially against 10 men. But at 3-0 it was understandable with so many games coming up, so can't really have too many complaints, despite losing out on a clean sheet. Only gripe was Acheampong not getting on - just hope he is involved in upcoming games.

So hard to keep competing when you're selling all of your best players. Marteta and Wharton will be next. No different I guess to when West Ham lost all that talent of Cole, Defoe, Carrick, Ferdinand & Johnson.

MOTM vs Crystal Palace (A) (PL)
Although he has had better games, still Estevao for me. Great taken goal plus an assist and that's the difference he makes, compared to a plodder like Neto. As soon as he went off, we went a bit flat. HAS to play whenever Palmer is missing (and be good to see BOTH of them playing sometimes too).

Liam Rosenior - Chelsea Head Coach *Now Sacked*
You're having a bubble @Mod !!! Maresca's win percentage is only high due to the clubs he has managed - CFC with a billion pound squad and Leicester, where he inherited a PL squad who were favourites to go straight back up (and he nearly f**ked it up and Leicester supporters were glad to see the back of him). Rosenoir is hardly going to have a high percentage managing Hull & Strasbourg! Fact is, NEITHER are worthy to be CFC manager, but it's where we are with this current regime.

I honestly don't see why folk are saying Rosenoir is a downgrade on Maresca. Let's not try and put Maresca in the same bracket as top coaches we have had in the past. Let's take a reality check and remember how majority of Leicester fans were glad to see the back of him. We've gone sideways, but not downgraded.

As has been said elsewhere, I think the quality of football currently is at an all-time low (how else could we explain how Arsenal are dominating). Sounding like the old geezer down the pub with the "football was so much better back in my day"........But it was! Footballers now are athletes (many of them injured athletes), who yes, may be fitter and run faster but are also very limited. Think we can thank the Pep's and Maresca's of this world for over-coaching them and making them all like robots. So we are left with some good, but unspectacular footballers who are all much of a muchness and show varying levels of inconsistency. In our squad we all know the only real quality players we have are Palmer, Estevao and then Caicedo and James. I'm getting so fed up with watching players like Neto, Garnacho, Pedro, Enzo, Gittens, Mudryk, Gusto..................etc etc. All getting paid stupid money to look bang average more often than not. SOMETHING needs to happen to football to make it exciting again, but I fear we are where we are now.

Chelsea vs Pafos (UCL) Wednesday 21st January 20:00 GMT
I think that boring is becoming THE word now to describe football in general - not just CFC. Like you, when games are on, I find myself distracted, as the games are so dull. When I was watching last night (before nodding off), so many modern players are very limited. We only seem to have Palmer and Estevao who can beat opponents with skill. The rest just pass, pass, pass. It's one thing having a player like Gullit or Hoddle or Fabregas, who could pass the ball brilliantly and open sides up but this insistence of passing the ball short and often and mainly sideways and backwards, God, it really has killed the entertainment.

Chelsea vs Pafos (UCL) Wednesday 21st January 20:00 GMT
Feeling a little under the weather last night so went to bed to watch the game but having dosed myself up with Nightnurse I fell asleep early in second half. To be fair, the game was that boring, I didn't need the Nightnurse to fall asleep.........................

Raheem Sterling signs for Chelsea
But he was a needless signing. A player with his best days behind him and burned out / lacking hunger on ridiculous wages. That's what I mean by worst signing - he might have got a few goals and assists when he first came, but in terms of cost he has been a massive waste of money. But he does at least have the honour of hitting the worst free-kick I have ever seen in my life!!

Raheem Sterling signs for Chelsea
Up there amongst the worst signings in our clubs history and that is a fair old list these days.

Jeremy Jaquet
That will please @just - sounds like David Luiz all over again - but without the cheeky grin that used to win us all over!

Jeremy Jaquet
Great stats. But in the French league. I'm sure Disasi, Tosin and Badiashille could get some decent stats playing in that league. PL is a whole different ball game. I used to love us signing young players where there is huge potential but we now have a squad full of them with the potential often not being realised. Everyone know we need a more balanced side with a bit of experience, so this signing just underlines the fact that the people running our club are clueless (and only interested in re-sale value).

Vintage Blues pictures and film
Always loved that shirt and have the replica. Imagine if you were prudent enough to take that Escort Mexico and park it up in a garage. Be worth an absolute packet right now.

Liam Rosenior - Chelsea Head Coach *Now Sacked*
Got a mixture of some tricky games and some very winnable games in the next few weeks, so we'll have a better idea after that. I am currently liking him and thinking he comes across very well but also very aware that we might have a David Brent type character and it all could go horribly wrong. He's only been here 1 week and already the David Brent references are all over the place. Perhaps he should not talk so much and let the performances on the pitch speak for themself. Hopefully we will soon have everyone bar Colwill and Lavia (WHAT has happened to Lavia?), fit and available and let's just hope he plays the right players in the right positions and I genuinely hope he does well and goes onto build something.

Liam Delap joins Chelsea *Official*
I think with Jackson, it was the whole package. Discipline, dreadful misses, poor attitude / sulky - just not being very good in general. Think we missed Delap last night. He does need to tone it down a bit in some games and avoid silly cards, but hopefully he can ruffle a few Gooner feathers in the return leg.

Facundo Bounanotte - Loan agreed.
Yep - just add it to the ever increasing list.

It did start with Potter but that's on the new owners. As soon as we lost Roman and these new guys came in and decided that Tuchel had to go and all they wanted going forward was a puppet, then our big-club mentality just evaporated.

Chelsea vs Brentford (PL) Saturday 17th January 15:00 GMT
Brentford amazingly two points ahead of us currently (despite being a lot of peoples favourites for relegation), so 3 points needed to go above them. PLEASE, LR, none of this Sanchez and the defenders f**king about with it at the back. We will have enough trouble dealing with Brentfords set pieces and balls into the box without creating more problems ourselves. Can't see Fofana playing another game so soon after last night and coming off, so pray LR picks a good side that will be able to deal with Brentfor and in particular Thiago who is scoring goals for fun. If he gets a few against us, what are the chances we look to sign him in the summer for £100m?!!!
-
Alejandro Garnacho
Fair play to Garnacho last night. All you can ask from a sub is that they impact the game and he did that. Without his two goals, the tie would be well and truly over.
-
Robert Sanchez joins Chelsea
LR won't last long if he thinks he knows best and like Maresca, too stubborn to admit when he's wrong. Sanchez last night was exactly the same Sanchez all CFC supporters despised. He CANNOT play the ball out from the back. Arsenal could and should have punished us more last night as we had no idea what we were doing every time it went back to Sanchez. It made horrendous viewing and needs to be canned immediately.
