Following Our Nearest & Dearest Rivals, 2018/2019
Sancho wasn't exactly much better though, whenever Pulisic had the ball he was decent, you're being far too harsh on him.

Not really, he skipped past Sissoko like once but he didn't do anything of significance.

Eriksen looked about 30 yards offside there.

Did Pulisic just nutmeg Sanchez? Whenever he's had the ball he's looked solid.

He's doing okay, Sancho has done the most but he's had the ball more and been given it in better positions. Dortmund are look threatening every now and then on the counter but still not enough just yet.

Pulisic is starting, I'll definitely be watching this.

What did Di Maria even do to United? Just because he played for them and wasn't that good? I'm glad he got the two assists.

You know he wont, I don't even think he got carded for it.

Did Di Maria just scream "f**k off Puta" to the crowd? He definitely said f**k off to the united fans, can't blame him.

That Kimbembe or whatever his name is looks like a bit of a liability, first time I've ever seen him play though, besides internationally.

United really are getting fortunate lately, PSG have quite a lot of injuries, what a time for them to play.

Jorginho is.... (well now was) a Blue
Ever since teams have been putting a man on him we are getting battered. He can't seem to cope with the pressure in the Premier League at the moment.
-
Who's to blame?
You could go back even further and find more managers with these sentiments, I'm certain Scolari and AVB felt the same even if many people didn't like their appointments to begin with, however, that's often in hindsight, they were both the real deal before they came to this club. The only one I would argue in the last 10 years who wasn't really let down and wasn't an interim was Ancelotti.

It’s time for Frank Lampard, he will turn us around like Ole has Man U.
Also, look what happened with Di Matteo in his next season, he was garbage. The same will happen with Ole when he starts the season fresh.

N'golo Kante - We are not worthy!
Not in our squad no, you're right, but I think there are better alternatives elsewhere, and when have we ever heard that about Kante before?

Maurizio Sarri Officially Appointed
They also had 3 of their best players missing compared to the league game when they had Ali, Kane and Son. That was a major factor, let's not kid ourselves here.

Maurizio Sarri Officially Appointed
That's not set in stone at the moment I'm afraid. Who would have ever predicted that this side would lose by such large margins such as 6-0 and 4-0 ? The last time I saw us this open and lacking in grit was under AVB after that horrific Arsenal game at the Bridge, and even then we managed to score 3 goals and it was a free for all open contest. Right now we are lacking goals and we are open at the back, at this moment in time I'm not expecting anything but a spanking if I'm being honest. I'll have to see how we do inbetween then, because it appears to me that we've lost our confidence.
-
Who's to blame?
I think it's mostly the board though, when we brought in AVB we did something similar, we didn't even bring in any of the players to suit his style of football. We literally had to play a high line with players like John Terry and Alex for crying out loud, then who did we have in midfield? A 34 year old Lampard along with John Obi Mikel, Raul Meireles and Ramires who was our only player with legs in it, and we had no pace on the wings whatsoever, we had to play Daniel Sturridge out wide because we had Soloman Kalou and a 33 year old Malouda as our only options on the wings. The board are more stupid and naive with these decisions, how on earth did we go into the season with Pedro and Willian over 30 and Hazard with two years left on his contract, likely to leave. Even Hazard for all his greatness isn't suited to the way Sarri wants to play, so what was the point of bringing Sarri in? It's like the board do no research at all on the managers that they employ. What was Sarri supposed to do with that frontline? You've brought in Jorginho, well done! Who else? We've brought you here to play fast-paced football with high pressure and intensity and btw here are two ageing wingers... It's like some sort of sick joke, but of course it's mostly Sarri's fault according to so many people.

You've just reminded me that we have a Cup final against City to play for still... Jesus f**king christ

N'golo Kante - We are not worthy!
Kante's best abilities aren't being used, it's clear to see. He's playing so high up the pitch and there are many players in the world that can play in that position much better than him, this is what people don't realise. I'm not fully confident Kante adapts to this system, but I am confident that if we back Sarri he'll eventually get results with or without Kante. The issue with criticising Kante is that people think instantly that it's a media agenda, but it isn't. I'm fully aware some of the media and pundits aren't taking into account that Kante is playing in a possession based team but they also have a point that he isn't doing the job there.
-
How would you rate Sarri's first half of the season in charge?
Disappointing but also expected, he has a really hard job and it's a shame others can't realise this.

N'golo Kante - We are not worthy!
Very brave posting that Scott, it's a crime to even talk badly about Kante in his new role these days, I've even heard ones not a loyal supporter if he does so.

Who's to blame?
How can people say Sarri with a straight face? It must be purely coincidence that all these talented managers we get in turn to utter sh*t all of a sudden.
