Look what Conte did in his first season when he won the league, every signing he made that season worked (particularly Kante, Luiz & Alonso), he coached Costa back to his first season form, he converted Moses into a wide player who everyone thought had 0 future here whatsoever. Utilised Willian's strengths perfectly into a squad player and he ended up having his best season in a Chelsea shirt here. Also Pedro, everyone thought Pedro was a flop and couldn't cut the physicality of the league, Conte in one season made Pedro pay off his price tag. And the 3 at the back just worked, got one more season out of Cahill and Azpi converted into a solid centre-back who could play it out from the back. And at that very time Conte had a much harder job to do than Mourinho did with United, I don't care what anyone says, on paper United still had a very good side, a good 3 years of transition since Fergie left and huge budget in the window to get back on form and Conte was the one who had to work with Mourinho's disaster that he left. It's quite clear that the 2003-2012 Mourinho is gone, where he could come into the side and just make players better. He's had his time, the game has moved on, he can no longer coach players without bad publicity and big player power.

I posted the one on one compilations myself, but they weren't as bad as an open goal, let's not stretch it. An open goal is always as bad as a chance with the keeper in the way. I think the main point is talking about the outrage mob on here if Morata has one minuscule mistake or doesn't do enough. If Morata missed that this place would be on lockdown, particularly if we didn't win, where I've seen Giroud also miss a lot of chances in a Chelsea shirt and he hasn't even been here for a full year yet. I get it though, one was 60 million the other was much cheaper and always a rotational player but regardless, if we are really criticising Morata after the Newcastle game I dread to think what will happen on here when he has an actual bad game.

I think he's talking about his goal record, Drogba's goal record wasn't the greatest but when he played the likes of Anelka, Kalou, Malouda & Lampard would score a f**k load of goals with him in the side, he was a menace for the opposition.

Neville always had a soft spot with Mourinho but the constant protection of Mourinho is irritating, can you remember us getting the same from Sky? I don't. Putting the blame on Ed Woodward instead of the man who's had 5 transfer windows and spent nearly half a billion is ridiculous. I do understand how people think Woodward was in the wrong for changing his spending philosophy, but obviously, the targets must have been bad if he's refusing to get them. Gary who I really like as a pundit was talking some absolute rubbish regarding Mourinho, about defensive mistakes and he should be able to get his centre-backs in. Mourinho signed Bailly & Lindelof, both of them don't look top level, particularly Lindelof. He's also had 5 windows to get in centrebacks, the excuses they're making for Mourinho's terrible transfers is uncanny.

2020 is the date they reckon, same with Star Citizen. Star Citizen no chance its coming out for consoles, way too big. As for CyberPunk it is but for the next platforms, so Xbox Two or PS5 I'm guessing. Still a long wait but if that's alpha build and I think I only saw like one mistake throughout the whole hour gameplay then I'm very impressed.

They're fickle as f**k, when we lose our next game they'll be saying we'll crash out of the top 4. If United win their next game we'll be hearing about how Mourinho can still challenge for the title.

I cannot believe how good Cyber Punk is, that's the future of gaming. You have to applaud CD Projekt red for taking these risks and not posting or recycling the same crappy games or dumbing them down. Witcher 3 was a masterpiece and it looks like they're about to outdo that masterpiece. It reminded me a bit of Star Citizen, not sure if any of you folks have seen the Star Citizen demo, (single player campaign not the MMO) and the detail is just extravagant, it's crazy how much you can miss with just a blink of the eye. This is very similar, that's the future of gaming I hope, it looks beautiful.

I didn't get the abuse Ivanovic used to receive until Mourinho's 3rd season. We are bound to leak goals in that area if our fullback is going higher up the field. As long as that Fullback is getting goals and assists and causing problems then for me it's not a big issue. And with Ivanovic, this was the case, but whenever we would concede a goal Ivanovic was the scapegoat, it's a bit similar with Alonso except Alonso hasn't shown as many defensive vulnerabilities than Ivanovic had under Mourinho.

From Chelsea standards, I like Christensen by the way I think he's a great player but I don't think he's good with the ball. I'm surprised so many people say it's one of his good traits because I don't think he's ever been comfortable with it. I watched a good 95% of our games last season and I was never keen on Christensen's passing or control in general. That's just one video I'm very aware, in no way was that my full argument, what I'm showing is the prime error what most people know about. Has John Stones really made a pass like that? That was a very bad error by Christensen and it actually reeked of nervous from the Barcelona pressing. Whereas Rudiger had probably his best game in a Chelsea shirt that game, handled the Barcelona pressing like a boss. After that game Christensen was making the same errors in his passing, he was knocked off confidence. For me I just cannot even put him in a bracket close to David Luiz, he's leagues behind in the passing game, but way ahead in the defensive game. I just think the David Luiz comparison made by the original poster (True Blue) was bizarre, I wouldn't trust Christensen with the ball over Luiz, not at all, Luiz is cool as a cucumber with the ball, the bloke doesn't even look when he passes the ball at times he's that confident with it.

Tbf his defending and concentration levels are abysmal, two seasons ago he proved me wrong by all accounts. I want that Luiz back, but I can't be done with it if he's going to keep making one big mistake every game.

I forgot to also mention that in the La Liga you get those fouls, whereas in the PL you don't. I'm just repeating points I've already made in other threads so I apologise. And I fully agree with what you said regarding him and Costa, for him to be a better replacement we need to see more from him of what he can do with his back to goal, right now I don't see an upgrade on Costa and that's the disappointment because he cost us 60 million.

I never expected Morata to be a good goal scorer, but I expected him to be a better footballer. I saw a lot of good play from him when he first came, it's why I can't take people seriously when they say "he can only score a few headers", he definitely had more to his game then. Right now he looks to go down off anything instead of holding it up. It's like the free kick he won for us against Newcastle against Yedlin. More times often than not that's not going to be a foul, you need to stand your ground and stop going to ground so easily, it looks like he is never going to learn that's what really loses me faith. That and missing one on ones, which just isn't healthy whatsoever. But in today's game I wasn't disappointed in him, I think the fault purely lies with other players not getting the ball in fast enough, we needed to give him more service. We can't expect a striker to score in a game where we can barely give him a sniff at goal. This is why I didn't want Lukaku, his build-up play is atrocious, he's only a player who shines in the final 3rd, match of the day won't show you the 90% coverage of him losing the ball and running it into dead areas. As for Morata, he hasn't exactly shown much of an improvement against Lukaku at playing with his back to goal, and that for me is a big disappointment because I never saw him as a clinical striker to begin with.

I know what you mean and that's obviously the most scapegoated example but from what I've seen and I was saying this before the Barca game btw is that his distribution and retention at the back is poor. Liability? Not really, but saying he's better than David Luiz with the ball is simply not true. It's like saying Danny Ings is a better striker than Aguero, it's just not true. Christensen as good as he is he's not comfortable on the ball, I've never seen evidence of it in a Chelsea shirt. He seems very much like Zouma whenever he receives it, wants to get rid of it as soon as he gets it, the most he can do is a sideways pass. Whereas David Luiz loves to get on the ball because he can always make a diagonal ball or touch it forward and knock it into space, same with Rudiger.

Ivanovic in 2010-2011 was our best player, Cech won it but Ivanovic deserved it for me. He was the best defensive fullback in the world, solid as a f**king rock. I remember when Luis Nani was set to be the next Ronaldo, one game against Ivan at the bridge and Nani wasn't the same again, Ivanovic took his soul. Attacking Ivan started to come under Mourinho and somehow he became this great attacking fullback who was originally a centreback and a very defensive fullback.

Hardly a myth is it, the signs were always there and as soon as this happened his confidence was gone for the rest of the season, he was mucking up a lot of passes. A defender who's good with the ball at his feet doesn't make mistakes like this, for all Luiz's downfalls he's definitely much much better than Christensen with the ball at his feet.

It's funny how all these United journalists (there's a f**king lot of them) are coming out saying the press is against Mourinho, there's an agenda. Not one of them came out about this during his time at Chelsea. Can you remember the campaign? We had about 3 penalties won that entire season, when we could have had about 20 legal penalties, Costa was constantly fouled in the box and wasn't getting any penalties since the Diego Costa crimes fiasco ran by Sky, and the Chelsea diving fiasco ran by Match Of The Day. Because one game we dived a lot, you know like Ashley Young when he was winning a penalty for United every week from a dive in the box. Everyone said Mourinho was going senile and people started to call him Maurene, he was constantly in the papers every week. I didn't see any journalist jump to his defence then like they're doing now. I mean to be fair, it's kind of been solidified that no matter what Mourinho is a moaning bastard right or wrong. I never wanted him sacked from the club but I always remember it being a breath of fresh air when he did leave, particularly when that season was over and Conte came in. No more media circus, no more controversial comments and Jose taking the spotlight, now that he's gone to United he's taken all the controversy there with him.

I think that's very inaccurate, Alonso goes in on the overlap a lot more than Azpilicueta does. And I've seen him take plenty of players on, he has to, he doesn't have the pace to go past them, his skill is very underrated.

Not at all, Christensen looked awful with the ball at his feet last season, he looked worse than Zouma with it. As bad as Luiz was don't pretend all he's doing is 5 yard passes, far more to it than that. I think I'll have to compile some more gif images to get my message across here but Luiz has superb delivery from the back and he's very composed with the ball even when he has 2-3 attackers around him, that's a brilliant trait for increasing attacking momentum. Him and Rudiger are superb at the back for that, but obviously, we are going to leak goals with David Luiz, his concentration levels are piss poor.

So now it's not Fernando Torres, he's actually worse than a Championship player. I wonder what it will be next week.

Are we really having a go at him for playing against 9 men in the box? He really didn't do anything wrong in the game besides that one touch he made in the box. Yes not decisive enough but pick the time to criticise him fellas, this one isn't it, I would not have expected any striker to score in this game, everyone in the team struggled to break through, that's not down to Morata.

Mourinho once again causing division. Look at the United fanbase in the comments, they're either making excuses for him or begging for him to be sacked. It's crazy how they can make excuses for someone who's had this much money to spend. Are they aware that he signed the likes of Lindelof and Bailly? They're flops and who's fault is that exactly? Mourinho's. Yes, it's not his fault because Woodward wouldn't let him go out and waste more money on players. If your transfer targets are so bad that a CEO of your football club actually says "Hang on, we have better players than these, I'm not getting them" you know there's an issue, he wanted to spend about 60 million on Willian for pete sakes. People knock Van Gaal but he at least established a lot of players in that team and left some good talents for the next manager to come in and use them, the only player who's improved under Mourinho is Lingard, he's the only one. Sanchez is not looking that good (not by his Arsenal standards anyway), Pogba is a luxury player who isn't doing well in his current role, he needs to be carried, Matic is what he was at Chelsea limited. Herrera has surprisingly got worse, he's a player who I actually rated years ago at Athletic and Van Gaal, their defence is a shambles, no good wingbacks, no good centrebacks. Lukaku is Lukaku, rubbish without any kind of service, and Fred doesn't exactly look great either. It's only Lingard who stands out in that team for me.
