Danny Drinkwater
Who is to say they weren't his signings? He consistently played Bakayoko when he was dreadful in hopes that he would come good. And as for Drinkwater, he spoke highly of Drinkwater and Kante before he came to Chelsea.

One of the reasons I can't hate Jose that game.

Jose Mourinho thread
He keeps insulting all the young players, saying he expects the Academy players to lose every game and Sanchez is too good to play with them. Crazy person, this isn't 4d Chess, he's going senile.

Very true, but I think this is the best I've seen the Liverpool side in a very long time. If I was a Liverpool fan and this side didn't challenge for the title or at least win something I would be very disappointed in Klopp. On paper it should be City but with the Premier League being such full of momentum it's rare you see a team win back to back titles these days. It's criminal how we've let them grab Fabinho while we signed Bakayoko.

Tiémoué Bakayoko
I've seen absolutely nothing from him that suggests he has a future here, if he did turn out good it would be the biggest shock that I've ever encountered and I once predicted Hazard would flop when we first signed him.

Eden Hazard - Chelsea Legend
With the crap we buy why on earth are we so confident on spending that money wisely

I remember I didn't want him sold, I thought selling him at the time could cost us the league title because Willian was offering nothing and Schurrle was always a goalscoring threat to bring on. I'm really surprised to see how his career has turned out after leaving Chelsea.

Who has been racist towards him? I haven't seen it, I don't think Ozil has a strong case here. Ozil should have been dropped for his sh*te performances alone.

Any game recommendation?
EA are a funny bunch, aren't they... They've absolutely murdered series after series and they don't know why gamers are protesting their remakes. You can kiss Bioware goodbye after Anthem fails.

As somebody with Turkish origins (both my parents are from Turkey) I can also agree to this. Personally, I like politics out of football but the way Ozil cuddles up with Erdogan is just very odd, he isn't even a politician. I'm not sure what Ozil has done with Erdogan (a bloke who I cannot f**king stand btw for obvious reasons) but I did find it very surprising how many times Ozil endorses the man and meets up with him frequently. idealistically, I think that's the man's choice but I think it should be the German FA's choice to remove him for those actions also. But again, I like politics out of football so maybe I'm a bit of a hypocrite I don't know.

I think it's crazy how they haven't been challenged on any of their singings, they've got the likes of Fabinho & Keita on an absolute steal and wrapped up so early. Although I must admit Jorginho for me looks like our best buy since Kante, really good business.

Eden Hazard - Chelsea Legend
I'm very confident we are keeping purely on the fact that Madrid would be stupid to spunk out 200 million on him. Madrid need more than just a Hazard, they critically need a striker and a goalkeeper. Why pay that much on Hazard when you've got players like Bale and Asensio? It just doesn't make sense.

Aleksandr Golovin
Whoever compiled that video get them in the police force immediately, they can find just about anything.

It's his brother, twin brother I think.

Alvaro Morata
One on ones he's horrendous so yeah it's down to composure you're right. In the flash of the moment, he appears to have no problem putting it in the back of the net, they're usually squared balls & crosses. I was watching BT or Sky with Matthew Upson and that bell end Chris Sutton who were talking about Morata and some of his comments. They brought up that he claimed to be a deep thinker and earlier he said he doesn't like London it's too busy for him. The deep thinker was something they pressed on most though, that it's not good for a striker especially if they're on a goal drought. Either way that's not good, every time he was one on one he would do the same predictable technique, lean to his left side and try to curl it in on his right and 90% of the time he missed. I think I remember him scoring once while doing that and everyone applauded in shock. Costa would never miss chances like that, and that's one huge aspect I really miss about Costa not being here anymore.

Alvaro Morata
I understand, but Giroud was very disappointing whenever I watched him play for France. What was the statistic, he didn't have one shot at goal or something crazy like that? I don't think using him as a World Cup winner is a good argument as to why he should be above Morata in the lineup. I would much rather use the argument of Giroud playing well for us last season, not his WC performance because I thought it was lacklustre. The reason why I say if we are looking to sell a striker it should be Giroud is basically because of his age. With Morata we might still get a long term project, with Giroud we might get one good year left.

Alvaro Morata
I think Coco does have a point, Michy should probably be number 1 given his goal record. But Michy's overall play has been disappointing whenever he has started a game, and it's obvious why he was benched a lot of the time. Will he get more game time in a Sarri set up? We'll wait and see.
-
Alvaro Morata
Giroud had an awful World Cup though, say if Morata does have a good season and scores 20+ what will you say then? Because I don't think that's as unlikely as you think it is, it's in the realms of possibility.

They've been winning that every year since the 80's, and absolutely nothing else but that. It's just a feeling though, I hope I'm wrong. On paper, it should be City winning the league again as of now until the window closes.

Alvaro Morata
It's easy saying "It's risky going into the season with Morata" but what's your solution? He's been here one season, I think a majority on this forum want to give him another chance despite the horrendous finishing we saw last season. As good as Michy was for Dortmund he has never really hit it off here, I like Michy also. But he has shown a lot more vulnerability to PL defenders than Morata has. It's risky going into the season with our strike force, I've already said this two pages ago. But can we do? Giroud at the moment is probably the player to sell if we are going to sell a player, and the only striker we are looking at in the market is Higuain and that's a whole other gamble we would be taking on for a big transfer fee. I guess I'll trust in what Sarri chooses to do, I wouldn't write off Morata completely just yet, but that's only because it's his first season, if we see more of the same from him this season then I'll definitely be on the Morata OUT wagon.

Alvaro Morata
Coco, I know deep down you're a Morata fan, I can just feel it. You know you look at him and think he's a cutie pie.

He's already spent a ridiculous amount and won nothing, right now he has failed although Liverpool are playing well and have improved under him. They're finishing top 4, but for the money he's spending lately he has to be doing better, they're spending more than us these days.

I deserve to get hate, I've just thrown up and called in a sicky for that very comment. The thought of Liverpool winning the league makes me bad enough as it is, I just have a horrible feeling. For me, they've done some great business. However, since we've gotten Sarri things are looking up here and I wasn't fussed on the bloke, looks like we'll be getting a few more players in before the window shuts. And I can't see Hazard leaving.

Nearly 200m spent at Liverpool once Allison finishes his medical. Klopp has no excuses whatsoever to challenge for the title. I hate saying this and I know I'm going to get a lot of hate but I do have a feeling Liverpool might win it this year. They've made some fantastic signings and improvements. I can't see United winning the league, City should but it's rare a team wins 2 in a row in this current generation, the momentum in the PL is huge and so competitive.
