  1. City looked careless and didn't really try, could that be a worry for them? They look arrogant. Regardless they still won but Arsenal were so sloppy in attack.

I've already had this argument with you and it's not going to anywhere is it. You think Morata has been as bad as Bakayoko when that's just simply not true. You can either clutch straws at a comment I made and not recognise what I'm actually saying to brand me a hypocrite or you can just read all the posts that I've given on this subject and you'll get a right idea. Writing Bakayoko off is fair in my opinion, he hasn't looked anywhere near as good enough and it's been a disaster of a signing, Morata not so much. But yeah sure I'm a hypocrite because I'm not giving fair treatment towards two players who didn't play the same.

Bakayoko is a different matter, I've explained this before, he has shown absolutely 0 footballing ability and genuinely one of the worst players I've ever seen wear the blue. So I have completely written him off. As for Morata he at least showed something and wasn't anywhere near as bad as Bakayoko.

inb4 the obvious witty remark about having faith in a player who's only had 1 season of football.

Stop being childish, nobody is even suggesting that. What's more predictable than Morata not scoring is your responses in this thread to anyone who tries to shred a bit of positive light on the situation. Some people just don't want to write a player off after 1 season of football, you need to chill out.

Because he didn't get any service? He really wasn't that bad at all. I mean I don't expect you to change your opinion because you usually make your mind up before you've seen a player play.

Didn't really get a lot of service but he wasn't that bad when he got the ball. However, I'm sure people will still try to find a way to put him down.

I really hope you're right, but don't bank on that.

He's not happy at Madrid a lot of reports say, he wanted a permanent transfer away. This could have a buy out clause, I really hope so, otherwise I think this was a pointless loan deal.

If he's got a buy clause on his loan deal I am a very happy man put it that way.
  11. It doesn't matter, Moyes still had a much harder job, look at the team Ferguson left United, it's amazing how he even managed to win the league with that team. Van Gaal actually went out there and spent a lot of players, promoted youth players and signed young talents that Jose cannot seem to play with properly (Martial, Shaw & Rashford) only the exception of Lindgard has improved under Mourinho but he developed under Van Gaal who was the one who played him in the first place. Don't pretend that Jose has had a harder job than those two. I don't even have disdain for Mourinho, I even said on the nearest and dearest rivals that I cannot hate the man. So you're assuming that anyone who has a different opinion to you on this matter must hate Mourinho. That's definitely not true at all. Jose already won the league with Chelsea in both of his stints, same with Inter and Madrid and Porto. He's having a much harder time with United at the moment and they really don't look much better going into this 3rd season. Jose himself doesn't even look confident, he was confident last season of winning the league, this season he's saying otherwise.
  12. Is that supposed to be an accomplishment? He's had the easiest job out of the three, Moyes had it very hard and had to pick up from an ageing team Ferguson left. Van Gaal also had it very hard because Moyes barely changed the side and he had to go out and make all the risks. Mourinho picks up an established team that made top 4 and gets to splash the cash on all the top players and still hasn't looked anywhere close to winning the league yet. Yep he's been very successful.
  13. I think it's fair, he's got a lot of hype lately, especially with getting into the England squad for the WC. We'll wait and see but I personally don't think he's good enough to start games here, him or Barkley.
  14. It's even worse when Liverpool have bought Fabinho for just 15 million more, who's about 23953252359235923539258213414x the better player.
  15. Of course it would do us favours, let it be known that if anyone wants to play these games again they'll have to see out their contract. We won't mess around. Don't get me wrong I hope we can sell him but if we can't then I'll make sure he doesn't play another game here again.
  16. Jesus, Bakayoko has no hope going into this season does he? I cannot bare to watch him.
  17. If he does somehow stay I hope he doesn't play another game for the club, what a total w**ker, he done this for his old club when he signed for us I believe, I've just read something on twitter about it. So he has a history of this sort of behaviour. It's crazy how Hazard is a much better player and doesn't behave or conduct himself in this way at all, I'm so glad he doesn't, because Courtois is overrated as a goalkeeper anyway and this has been a popular opinion on this forum for some time, it's not bitterness.
  18. We'll smash them boys, have some confidence

Best post I've seen in a while on this thread. I think he's a good player and I wanted him here, but he hasn't been good enough. As for Torres however you cannot use that example for everything, Morata has shown more quality than Torres ever did at Chelsea. Despite what some people think on here (the comments about Torres have been odd, it's almost as if it wasn't the same Torres we had to put up with for years). It's only preseason but Morata is showing no threat when the going gets tough, that's a problem, Costa always had his head in the game even when he went overboard. Even when we played awful and he wanted to leave he still scored in the F.A. Cup Final, he still wanted to score goals, we aren't getting this from Morata. Some strikers do require more assistance than others, when they get that assistance they'll score goals, Lukaku is one of them, he can't rely on a team that doesn't give him service. We'll wait and see what happens, the reality is that he's going to be here for another season, we need to accept that. If he has another bad season then I'm all for selling him and getting a replacement. As for now though I'm going to keep the faith that he can develop his game here. But it's hard enough when we already need better players in certain positions, if Hazard doesn't play we are screwed. Once again we are going into the season with no good players to play around him.
  20. If Conte can see out a full season after last I'm confident Sarri can get some good time here. He should do anyway, the board actually haven't been that trigger happy since Mourinho, Mourinho got more leniency than I expected, so did Conte massively.
  21. I really couldn't care less if he goes or not. Not a great player, and he's a bit of a prick quite honestly.
  22. Costa was Costa's fault, can we please stop trying to change this, he wanted to leave, those are the facts.
  23. Last time we won this Community Shield was in 2009 and we haven't won one since, I'm sure we've been in it 5 times since then, very odd.
  24. He hasn't looked great at all this pre-season, I think it's fair to say this system does not suit him. I'm hoping he can adapt because he seems like that type of player.
  25. I haven't kept up to date with the situation myself but when I first heard I must admit I assumed pure unprofessionalism on Willians part. Given what's happening and how keen he was to leave at the end of last season.
