  1. Bad form doesn't exclude him, without Hazard we are nothing in attack. Conte isn't utilising Hazard well enough because we can't get the ball to him, we can't keep possession, Hazard plays better when we have the ball more. A possession playing coming in and playing from deep hazard >>> counter attacking running away from the ball and making runs Hazard
  2. The same Spurs who still haven't won anything? The same Spurs who have won 2 trophies in the last 26 years and that's 2 league cups. No thank you, Tottenham are just the media darlings at the moment, the pundits' favourite underdog because they've got some star English players. And it's not about being bitter here but we shouldn't be looking at Tottenham, we should be looking at our core players. Our spine is completely sh*t, nobody next to Kante, nobody fit enough to replace last seasons David Luiz, nobody to lead the line and a goalkeeper who's looking pretty average. Until we improve upon our key areas we won't win the league again any time soon.
  3. Underrated post. You hit the nail on the head here on most of them, I thought Barkley was signed for obvious reasons. DD wasn't necessarily a squad player, he was always next to Kante and Inler struggled to break into the side when DD was playing.
  4. A lot of people used to say Jose is selfish and only thinks about himself, but I remember him taking the blame for a lot of things here for all the man's faults. He would absolutely drill the players after a bad performance (Bloody rightly so). I just hated when he used to go on about the atmosphere and belittle our club/supporters. He hasn't learned his lesson at United it seems also. But with Conte, it looks like he's deflecting all the blame completely and looking out for his C.V.
  5. You know what we are pretty sh*t at the moment but, meh.. It's only West Ham.
  6. Whatever happened to @Spudulike ??? Did he say he was leaving the forum?
  7. Don't even mention the controversial downgrading of their games. I think Watch Dogs had massive potential and they really messed that up in both games. You've nailed it on the head really, Ubisoft is a poor mans EA, I do like a lot of their past titles for realism and dark setting like their Tom Clancy games (Splinter Cell, Rainbow, Ghost Recon) solid games in there. But they've completely milked the Assassins Creed series to just look good rather than be good, bringing one out almost every year with not really any significant improvements and ignoring a lot of user feedback. The Witcher 3 is how you make a game, instead of ripping off consumers with their dumbed down triple-A games (Mass Effect Andromeda was completely unforgivable), actually try and set the standards in gaming. I've stopped buying a lot of games out of principle as of late, especially since I paid for Mass Effect Andromeda I will never buy an EA game again not even FIFA, they completely lied to the consumers that they had a great game raring to go that was completely finished and developed. No instead EA already knew Mass Effect was doomed but released it anyway so they could get some sales and just completely abandon the ME series and work on Anthem. What an absolute joke of an organisation... It almost makes you appreciate Ubisoft.
  8. Far Cry 5 a pretty good game, worth the money I think. The only issue I'm having is Ubisoft lacking in the direction they're going in. Every game they're putting out are massive open world games and they're trying to bring more RPG elements in their games, which I'm all for I love RPG's. Ghost Recon Wildlands I enjoyed and I'm a single player guy but that game kinda sucked for single player gamers, it was tedious, a massive grind, nothing to gain for a crappy ending also. If they're going to focus on open world games they need to bring more strategic and RPG elements to it. Yes the Far Cry world looks beautiful, Bolivia in Wildlands looked gorgeous also, huge world, but it's quantity over quality at the moment. You need to bring more content to the world, where's the strategy? What is the point in me completing everything in some area if I gain little out of it? Why spend a few hours game time completing one area for a silly weapon modification. It all falls to Microtransactions also which is a big controversy, making it a grind on purpose so you have to go out and buy the stuff. Although in Far Cry it's pretty easy to go out and earn cash than purchasing things with real money, so I didn't find it an issue. But I thought Far Cry was lacking a bit of content, it got a bit too stale like Wildlands and Watch Dogs they could do better, just look at the Witcher 3 and see how much content they put into every single area of the game. You can never say never right now with the standards the Witcher 3 set. Sadly I don't think anything will even match that gaming standard until a long time and it'll probably be by CD Project Red outdoing themselves again when they release Cyber Punk.
  9. Yeah except Hazard was instrumental in both our title wins while David Silva took a holiday for two seasons after their first title win. But I know how it goes, our players are sh*te and everyone else's are great yardy yardy yah
  10. For people who are under the illusion that we could buy a Spurs player, I have three words for you. Luka f**king Modric.
  11. Okay so if Conte knows then why is he still here? Why is he still complaining about it? Why didn't he just walk in the summer if he knew the board were so authoritarian and wouldn't let him have even a bit of say in the market? It does seem like Conte doesn't have a great deal of power as he likes but we are still massively in the dark about all of this. He's said a lot of things, he said we needed a much bigger squad last season we lack the depth, then he complained about us signing too many players this season.
  12. All of that is heavy speculation, you don't know that for definite with maybe a few exceptions. You can't put an opinion that boldly when you're left in the dark just as much as the rest of us. Unless you know what goes on inside our club and Conte's head then you know just about as much as we do, practically nothing.
  13. This is the only time despite AVB that I've seen so many people content with sacking Conte. I remember when Jose got the sack after a horrible period of continuous losses and obvious player rebellion, there were still so many fans that were more upset and angry at the player power and the sacking of Mourinho. Just look at the Mourinho thread if you don't believe me, first few pages, it's currently in the rival section. Even with AVB I never saw so many people who were against the manager. Because all Conte appears to care about is his own brand, there's quite a bit of evidence that shows he's trying to deflect all the blame from himself. How many managers have you seen who've walked on mutual benefit? Did we not just see Pardew go yesterday. Now completely different scenario I know but if Conte was a man of principle like you just brought up then he would have left in the summer before he found out the club was not going to pursue his targets. Surely Conte must have already have known the situation before he signed his contract, that he doesn't have a lot of say, that we aren't going to chase down all the players he wants for huge fees. It's hard to trust him, now I've already made it clear in the matchday thread that I don't know the entire situation so I'm not going to contradict myself here. I'm just saying what it feels like, to me, it looks like Conte is prioritising his pay cheque over everything else and he's blaming a lot of shortcomings on himself. Despite the merry-go-round of managers going and player power rebellions, there is something a bit different here. When AVB first came here he wanted to sign multiple players, he wanted Alexis Sanchez, Barcelona signed him, he wanted to bring in Alvaro Pereira, Porto wanted more than 20 million for him and we would offer 18 at most. He wanted Luka Modric and we chased him all summer only to end up with Raul Meireles in the last minute. He didn't want players like Lukaku who we signed anyway and expected AVB to just make due with him (he ended up playing on the wing now and then and did nothing). But I can't remember AVB bitching in the press before and after every game for not getting his targets, and AVB got played a much worse hand than Conte ever did let's face it. There is something deeply wrong with the board and player power, we have been the British Real Madrid for years minus the galactico signings and huge spending fees. However Conte is not innocent and he definitely has to share a lot of blame for this season, and the worst part about it is he might have done some of it on purpose for selfish reasons, I really hope that's not the case though.
  14. Chelsea aren't in a position to sell their best player so if he does go he'll have to go for a good amount of money, and I'm talking the crazy amount that players like Coutinho went for. Would Madrid/Barcelona be willing to risk that? I know Hazard is unplayable when he's on form but he's become of an inconsistent player as the years have gone by here. If he had a sh*t hot season like we were all expecting I would definitely be worried about him going, but now I'm not. Not when you've got Mohammad Salah who is outshining everyone currently, all the eyes should be on him not Hazard.
  15. Serie A is definitely worse than the Premier League but it's not a league full of bums, you'll always get some good talent there. And with Roma, they're in a tight financial spot which is why they're letting players go for cheaper fees than they originally could. Palmieri might not look world class but I think he looks talented personally. The only issue is that I've heard he's had a history of injuries and not just the one he's recovering from.
  16. They didn't even show the Morata incident when he was clearly onside to make it 2-2 at Old Trafford earlier. I don't even care about it anymore, I'm past caring, they've always been biased for Liverpool, Spurs, United & Arsenal.
  17. You are aware the player in your avatar came from the Serie A?
  18. Can't disagree with you there I suppose, and it could be the same with Jose if he does nothing next season which is pretty likely.
  19. I don't see what sacking Conte is going to do, I'm sick of this merry-go-round with the players and managers. Don't get me wrong I'm well aware of Conte's comments but it goes deeper than this, Conte clearly isn't happy for whatever reason. Is it signings? We've had 200 million to spend, was he unhappy with who we got and not the amount we spent? Or is he purely selfish and he's blaming all of his shortcomings on the board to save his CV. I really don't know I couldn't tell you, all I see is a recurring pattern at this club when it comes to players and managers and I'm pretty sure I don't have to explain it. Even if it meant giving Conte another season to break this cylce I would 100% welcome it.
  20. Well, you've agreed with every single manager sacking and didn't criticise the board on any way how they handled either of them.
  21. I don’t think I’ve been more confident in the club keeping him ironically. Why would anyone sign him for huge cash with the way he’s playing? For me he’s still got stuff to prove.
  22. But what changed Davey? We were perfectly fine last season.
  23. Allow me to rephrase, not as many as he should have played. Wrong choice of words. Basically I can’t stand it when we give Cahill the odd game when Rudi should be a nailed on starter when fit no matter what.
  24. And Rudiger has barely played, same with DD. I wish somebody could explain this to me.
  25. I must admit that was hard to watch. I love football but I struggled watching that, we are really bad at the moment and I’m not sure what’s next, nothing to salvage this season and that FA cup win is not going to happen the team doesn’t care.
