Your unpopular opinion about Chelsea
Manchester City is just as detestable as United, Arsenal & Liverpool. It kind of annoys me when people say they prefer City over the other teams, not to mention their FFP loophole scandals but they'll inevitably be big rivals once they start winning things and we start winning things more consistently, it's just weird so many fail to recognise that.

Victor Moses
Doesn't get the appreciation he deserves, fantastic player, hopefully, we see this consistency from last season. He's brilliant at 1 v 1's if he keeps improving his final ball think how many goals Morata will get. Costa never got on the end of Moses's balls on the byline, that used to get me very frustrated, with Morata I can see a lot of goals being scored from that end.

I think that's very harsh on Pogba tbh, that's at high speed you're bound to put a foot wrong now and then. Either way, he's still an annoying c**t.

Watched the full game at last, it's fair to say Drinkwater at the moment is levels about Bakayoko, I hope he's favoured from now on.

I remember when the Arsenal squad used to take selfies on the pitch and I thought it was embarrassing, well nothing is worse than this United team at the moment, f**king embarrassing, I cringe whenever I see Lindgard & Pogba together and they do stupid dance moves and show off their haircuts, f**k off.

I would give the team more credit, we've left our small bad patch behind us and we are outplaying teams easily at the moment. The other teams aren't getting a sniff at goal. I just watched the extended highlights that seemed to be Newcastle's only chance of the game and even their goal was fortunate and a dead giveaway. Even in the Liverpool game, we played much better than we've ever played at Anfield in quite some time.

You’re far too harsh Scott, how many chances did Swansea get? I haven’t watched the Newcastle match yet but it looks like they barely had a sniff at goal all game also.

I wouldn’t count on it, fat Sam will love to cause one of his upsets.

Christensen didn't.

There is no reason why we can't win all of our December games besides the one at Everton away. Huddersfield & Southampton will be a bit of a challenge as well but we are definite favourites. I'll be very disappointed if we don't beat this Newcastle side.

I wouldn't be so sure about that, he got demolished against Salah 3 times, struggled in the Liverpool game.

Alvaro Morata
Still hasn't adapted to the PL, I hope he does. Like I said in the match thread he expects to get a foul for everything, he got nudged in the back by Mawson which put him off his shot and he was moaning for a penalty. I wouldn't care his buildup before that goal was smashing, had that of went in it would've been a belter. These are definitely things he can fix up on and learn so I'm not that worried, but he needs to start adapting now otherwise there are going to be times where this will cost us. This is the type of stuff we need to see more from Morata, acknowledge the defenders can touch you, and touch them back just as hard. He's shown how good he is with his back to goal, but he needs to actually acknowledge the physical limitations in the Premier League compared to the ones in Spain/Italy. You won't get a foul so easily, look how many penalties you see in the Spanish league every week compared to the PL.

David Luiz back at Chelsea
It's why I'm asking because I can't be bothered watching them in the slightest. I know JT has been superb for Villa and the Villa fans already love him (they're missing him badly with his current injury) So it would be a shame if Zouma is doing pretty badly.

Tiémoué Bakayoko
https://www.thesportreview.com/2017/11/chelsea-news-frank-lampard-bakayoko/ I hope Frank sticks to punditry, will help to have him around. Criticism like this will only help Bakayoko, Frank praises him but says he needs to improve or he'll find himself left out at Chelsea.

Chelsea Vs Swansea (PL) Wed Nov 29th 2017 19:45 UK
Of course there is, why else do players dive? It's to get fouls, it's part of the game like it or not. I'm glad they're trying to get rid of it with big punishments because the F.A. really needs to step up. Yeah I remember the moment he went past players but that wasn't my point, maybe I didn't make it as clear, I'm talking about movement that disrupts Swansea's organisation, when they've got 4 stuck on 3, the only thing you can really do is stretch them thin with your wide players. Or like how Bakayoko took off a defender from Morata which gave him a free header against United for his goal. I didn't see enough movement from Zappacosta when he wasn't on the ball, that's the point I'm making.

I think that's all it is, I didn't say Zappacosta had a bad game I just don't think he made good enough runs, which in fairness he was up against Olsen, whereas Alonso was up against Naughton, quite a difference there defensively. But I expect Moses to be our number 1 on the right-hand side.

Chelsea Vs Swansea (PL) Wed Nov 29th 2017 19:45 UK
I'm not saying Drogba didn't go down, but he went down at the right times. Drogba played it smart and started diving when he couldn't get his way. That's why opposition fans hated him. When he had a good chance he would turn into the terminator, you couldn't get the ball off him, when he couldn't he would turn into a brick sh*t house and fall over from anything. What good runs did Zappacosta make the whole game exactly? I didn't see anything, Alonso was lethal on the left-hand side and always closed in. Even look at the highlights to get a contrast of it, Alonso a few times got in from overlapping runs in the box (which Fabregas picked out btw), Zappacosta was quiet, he received the ball more times but not in dangerous areas, that's my point. It's hard to break down their defense when they've got everyone sat at the back, I thought Fabregas did very well at trying to pick them apart. When you're in that position the main thing you can do is get the ball to Willian & Pedro and try and find openings, we did get through a few times but we weren't clinical enough on the night. Luckily Rudiger got the 3 points for us in the end.

Courtois Azpi-Christensen-Rudiger Moses-Fabregas-Kante-Alonso Pedro-Morata-Hazard I think we could go with Fabregas again in the middle to run the game, I'm very confident we can control this game like we controlled the Swansea game, this time we have Hazard also.

Jose Mourinho thread
Fergie had some very rough patches at United, he even went through a weird one in 2012 when Yakubu scored a hattrick at Old Trafford and United just couldn't stop losing games. Incomparable to Mourinho situation, it's just a fact any manager who has a bad patch here will be sacked, it's how it is. Conte hasn't had one thankfully.

Chelsea Vs Newcastle (PL) Sat Dec 2nd 2017 12:30 UK
We've never struggled against this lot at home, the only time I recall is when Cisse scored those two wonder goals and they finished 5th that season while we played them Liverpool & Barcelona in the space of 10 days. it's their place we struggle with. And they look absolutely sh*t at the moment, I don't fear this match one bit, very confident we get 3 points here.
-
Jose Mourinho thread
Blaming everything on Jose could also be seen as an excuse? I don't think the comments are even bad actually, we were angry at the board and that was completely rational because at Chelsea we've had this pattern of always sacking managers once they go through one sour patch.

Chelsea Vs Swansea (PL) Wed Nov 29th 2017 19:45 UK
Guys focus on Chelsea, not City. 1) Great reactions from Rudiger, that was not an easy goal by any means, thank you for being clinical on the night! 2) Morata really needs to stop complaining and get to grips with this league, one nudge from Mawson and he completely snuffed his shot and started complaining. He needs to learn that's the way the PL is, Drogba would have taken a big touch with his right and carried it onto his left side so the defender couldn't distract him from the shot, it would have created a harder angle and put it on his left, but it gives you a better chance. Morata needs to learn the same techniques or he's going to really struggle in a lot of Premier League games here, like this one. (if you watch the very moment you'll see Morata acts like it's a simple 1 on 1 no defender around him) 3) Alonso uses his width so much better than Zappacosta, Zappacosta didn't make enough good runs to really stretch Swansea thin, Alonso made a few good darting runs that almost completely obliterated their organisation. 4) We are too harsh on Willian & Pedro, they ran the game, should have scored more but Swansea did nothing all game, the show was run by them and Fabregas with Morata linking up well, the bottom sides are very easy for us when we play like this it's no contest, we just had to get the goal in and we almost failed. Not a huge deal even City & United are struggling in those departments at the moment. 5) I wasn't happy with the lineup, to be honest, I'm sure many thought the same when they saw no Moses and Fabregas starting in midfield, but it looks like it was never an issue and maybe for the best? Fabregas was in total control, looks like we can start with Fabregas on the side next to Kante in certain games, but I would rather not make a habit of it.

Stupid as it may sound I think he would've been a good signing, suits the system, but he's looked awful at Spurs.
