  1. Any chance any of our players break into a run when we’re on the attack?
  2. What a shambles - particularly for the goal - Levi gets skinned by a championship winger and Caicedo just lets his man go! Wtf!
  3. … and in case it can get any worse, Havertz is almost a regular starter and playing a vital role for the team who might well win the league!
  4. Agree with all the criticism here - too many poor players. Also, what gets me is that we spend all that money on two midfielders who look no better than Gallagher, while Liverpool spend £50m (?) on an unknown Hungarian who’s killing it! How can that happen?
  5. Terry was, of course, a Chelsea great before he went on to other things. In those far off days he played with a 4 on his back, which meant he was a right-half … simple. But then Johnny Hollins broke into the team and he was also a right half! What to do? So TV gets the number 10 shirt … but doesn’t that mean he’s an inside left?! Bewildering in those days before a midfielder had been invented! two other things I remember - we had a free kick against a wall … Terry pretends to be simply pacing out the distance when he receives the ball before their defence has got their act together and he scores … of course! The other thing is him hiding behind the referee, yes, hiding, as they attack and then he jumps out from behind the ref like an ambush and wins the ball! RIP Terry …
  6. It’s got so bad that we’re pinning our hopes on Villa being knackered!
  7. If you didn’t follow football and we’re told there was a midfielder out there today who cost over £100m, I guess you wouldn’t pick Enzo … if you were then told he was playing for Chelsea - you still wouldn’t!!
  8. Although I was never a fan of Jorginho, is it possible that we have got worse since/because he left?
  9. Hey, look, I’ve found tomorrow’s match report … ”After a spirited first 30 seconds, Chelsea reverted to type with an unconvincing performance after their first goal with no shots on target unless you include the corner flag as a Kovacik target. Koulibaly’s booking in the third minute affected his game and may have led to his error for the fourth RM goal. Havertz looked somewhat short on muscle, guile and application, whilst Cucurella did a passable impression of a pub footballer. Some might blame Kepa for the second goal but it was quite a hard shot that he couldn’t quite get to. The substitutions in the 85th minute made little difference, although Pulisic looked sharp when he came on until his injury. Chelsea’s MOM was Rudiger.
  10. Really dreading this one … dreading a starting line-up with Cucu, KK and Havetz, dreading seeing everyone ignoring Mudryk and Felix running into space, dreading seeing Kepa just getting his hand to it but to no avail, dreading seeing Kova trying to repeat his only ever long range shot on target, dreading seeing substitutions with all of 10 minutes to go, and dreading seeing the inevitable lack of hope once we go one down ….sorry, just feeling very depressed not helped by watch Man U and Newcastle showing just how far off the pace we now are ….
  11. Here’s an interesting stat - Real Madrid have scored more goals in England this year than we have! Also, Goal of the Month for February goes to Felix because ….!
  12. Can see KK getting sent off in this - an early booking for sure. How can Ziyech start over our other choices?
  13. Agree with most of what’s been said here but who would take over… seriously?
  14. So we spend gazillions of pounds on new players and end up with Havertz and Ziyech on the pitch! How is that still possible! Also, have they been instructed not to pass to Mudryk in any circumstance ? Give the guy a pass ffs!
  15. RLC is a strange choice, indeed, but picking Havertz is beyond belief in these circumstances! Maybe Potter has an eye on the CL match midweek?
  16. During the World Cup friends asked whether I wished Kova played like that for us, to which I replied that he did exactly that … driving run from the heart of defence, beats 2, 3 maybe 4 people and then …. And then …. Nada! Assists? Goals? Telling incisive passes? Not for me, I’m afraid… on the sell list.
  17. You’re right … big help to Man C!
  18. Wow! Chico Hamilton … where did that come from? Thought I’d be the only person here who might remember him!
  19. Mate, I completely agree with you, although I would probably add KK and Pulisic to your list!
  20. I can’t see us scoring another goal all season!
  21. Nice of Walker to scratch his bollocks before shaking hands!
  22. Much better performance, much more penetration … is it simply that Jorginho isn’t playing?
  23. I really can”t believe he can play Azpi and KK again after the Forest game! Surely Chalobah can replace one of them?
  24. Other than Reece, How many of our players would get a regular start in a top 6 team? Answer - none … which probably explains why we’re not now or will be this season a top 6 team! Man C next … Azpi and KK against Foden, Grealish, Mahrez etc … oh dear, oh dear ….
  25. So so boring … so lacking in invention … play it forward even if it means risking possession, just do something exciting!
