Chelsea V Huddersfield (PL) Wed 9th May 19:45 UK
Ps. I'd like to see Depoitre out of their 11. That guy will give problems if they get any half decent crosses into the area. On another note, what is Terence Kongolo doing at Huddersfield? He looked like a future star. Looked very good for Fejenoord. Strange for Monaco to loan him out like that.

Ruben Loftus-Cheek
I think it was against Villa that he scored a goal and Abramovic was up on his feet applauding, clearly looking delighted. I think he may be seen as more than just a promising player... It might be a case of him symbolising the success of the academy.

Tammy Abraham
Keep him. It's just too unpredictable these days which side will do well in the Prem. Would we have thought Stoke, Southampton and Swansea would be in the relegation dog-fight all season? And Huddersfield, Brighton, Bournemouth looking the better teams? Giroud, Morata and Abraham would be decent next season, as long as some quality goalscoring attacking midfielders / midfielders are added. (Ps. Giroud joining Arsenal was probably a hindrance to his career. If he was at a club who crossed the ball into the area a lot more, he may really have shone a lot brighter than he has in the Prem.)

Charly Musonda jr.
He doesn't seem to be particularly lazy on the pitch. The game he scored his goal, I remember he was all over the pitch causing the opposition problems... That's one thing he doesn't seem to lack from what I've seen. Maybe attitude in training? Not taking criticism? Throwing toys out of pram when things going wrong? I still have hope for Boga and Musonda making it here, eventually. Not writing either off just yet.

Marcos Alonso
Some more Barcelona rumours. If a suitably big offer comes in... I have a feeling all parties would be quietly satisfied about it going through. It's clear Chelsea were always looking for someone else with all the Sandro rumours... Barcelona apparently see him as a good option for centre back. Alonso would be returning to his native Spain with one of the la liga giants...

Marcos Alonso
Is it just me or has he improved a little in that area recently? Last four or five games, he seems to be putting in balls with more purpose and accuracy.

Random Rumours
In the current set up, the wingbacks provide most of the width. Both Hazard and Fekir would really be inside forwards if it's the usual 3-4-3... Would love to see him here. Provided Pedro is offloaded, with Hazard, Willian and Fekir, maybe another pacy, direct winger (Zaha? Lozano?) that area would be sorted for a while... Then you have Kennedy, Boga, Musonda, Hudson-Odoi, all of whom could possibly replace Willian further down the line. (Getting ahead of myself though...)

Any game recommendation?
Relax. I saw that face and made a passing comment. Not a personal attack on you, not sure why you're getting offended/flustered whatever the case.

Alvaro Morata
Who'd be surprised to see a 2 year loan deal to Juve for Morata with a £30m option to buy? Exaggerating if course, but we've done silly business like that plenty of times before.

Any game recommendation?
Sure enough, a little bit of digging and you have him linked with Roman Polanski and his abuse of little girls. Also some other unsavoury things... Still, this isn't the place for it I guess.

Eden Hazard - Chelsea Legend
Agree 100% @TheChelsRVA First I've seen of Fekir rumours, but that's the type of player that would really be on his wavelength. This guy is very similar, great dribbler, very strong, scores goals, creates goals and has the leadership, too. https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/weaintgotnohistory.sbnation.com/platform/amp/chelsea-fc-transfer-rumours-news/2018/5/7/17325728/chelsea-interest-growing-in-60m-lyon-midfielder-report Hazard, Fekir, Willian would be fantastic. Watching this sude, it's clear there are two players in this squad who are head and shoulders above the rest. If they wanted to leave for the big two in Spain, the way the things have been going recently and how football is nowadays, it would be understandable.

Any game recommendation?
If there was ever a face that was a candidate for "#me too" it's this one. Everything about this guy is creepy.

Agree with this, even though it was a great result and performance yesterday given the way the season's gone. The 3-5-2 has been quite limited and relies on the front two to do too much. In the event one of them isn't having a good game, the whole attack becomes badly blunted.
-
Alvaro Morata
Kane...? We can't tell if course but you wonder how many Giroud would have got here as the main striker from the start of the season.
-
Alvaro Morata
Yes, most probably. If they don't score as many as they should, and miss a lot of glaring one on ones and easy chances. :p

I think I'll just settle for fourth, thanks. :)

West Brom had something to fight for... Leicester and Newcastle? Same with Brighton. Still, sometimes these teams just up their game just to ruin the party. They do against Chelsea anyway.
-
Alvaro Morata
Giroud - man Morata - boy That's the impression you get when watching the two. I want him to stay, but if he goes, someone like Icardi could be a good choice for that type of player. He's still a class striker for me, hasn't ever had to be the main striker like Conte mentions, so not dealt with the pressure before. New country, new language, wife had first child, problematic injury, the team have been a little off as a whole too, this season... I would stick with him. Not that many quality strikers around... Prices are going to astronomical levels, too.

Chelsea V Liverpool (PL) Sun 6th May 16:30 UK
This is a great pic normally to smack a Liverpool fan in the face with. When they're above in the league and looking like they're the better side at this point, though... Not quite the same :|

I'd prefer to say, 'the least of excellent performers' :p Not one player had a bad game or even an okay game. Everyone was good-excellent. A really good team performance yesterday.

Brace for Traore again, yesterday.

Random Rumours
Some (probably bogus) rumours about Fekir to Chelsea today... Zaha, too.

Thibaut Courtois
Never been a big fan of Courtois. With the constant uncertainty around him and his general moody demeanour, I've never taken to him. He's also beena level below the top, top class keeper he was meant to be here. He's been okay-good mostly, occasionally very good, but not outstanding. My memories of Cech, especially pre-head injury, are that he would regularly pull off that one crucial save In a game, something that would ensure the result remains intact. With Courtois though, he's been steady-good a lot of the time but when those crucial moments In a game have propped up, he's been found wanting too often. This season, he's had a few very poor games, most recently against Barcelona. He was a big part of the CL exit. Today however, he actually made that telling contribution to save the game.
