Just came to me but what about playing some sideways backward football and f**k about with it at the back. That might turn this game around for us.

Embarrassing to be getting bullied this way by Forrest. Potter needs to take some of the underpreformers off and replace with some young blood. Can do no worst.

We are so physically weak, especially mid field. Can’t get a grip of the ball and take control. Sterling in the team doesn’t help either.

At least it ends all speculation that he’s coming here. I suppose he’s entitled to do what he wants but I feel he’s tarnishing his career over this past couple years.

Remember well the 1970 World Cup. He was such an icon then, whenever icons weren’t that common. Everyone knew the name Pele and as @Boyne said he was up there with Muhammad Ali as someone who transcends the sport. Probably my favourite footballer of all time was Maradona because of his immense skill and control of the football but overall Pele had so much more. Strength, power, heading ability, dribbling, eye for goal and humility. All this over an extended period while it seemed that every effer was trying to break his leg. Very little protection for the superstars of the game back then.

Do you not think he improves them!!! They are better of this year points wise than the previous 2 seasons. Played 15 pts 35 20/21 played 18. Pts 36 21/22 played 19 pts 38. If Haaland stays fit I think Arsenal have to break 100pts to take the league.

Didn’t see any World Cup matches from last 16 round so cannot comment on how any matches or players preformed during the tournament. Seems to have been entertaining. All I will add is Englands best ever World Cup song from 1998. None of that coming home sh*t.

I’ve been off a couple of weeks with poor internet, not able to post. Sad news about Lofty, horrible disease. Didn’t realise he was @Upsetter as well. Sometimes controversial and always said it as he saw it. Good knowledgable poster who will be sadly missed.

Problem is that ‘Barca’s top execs’ in creating a wonderful team also created something which was unsustainable in high transfers, wage structure and culture. Something which has now almost collapsed the club. it’s ok for City to take this on as money and finance is not a problem atm as the dance their way around any FFP restrictions. We on the other hand we do not have that luxury and have to find a solution somewhere in between Brighton and City.

Never ever have I been less excited about a World Cup. Being in Qatar certainly is a part of it but I think it’s more the time of year. Usually the season ends with all the finals, squads get together, and no football for a few weeks and the whole thing builds up. This time I’m sort of feed up of football, and that’s just not our form but it’s been constant since the start of the season. maybe I’ll get into it but it will probably in the later stages. I’ll probably want to watch the South American teams as I seen loads of the European nations this last year or so and there has been nothing special.
