Kylian Mbappé
Not going to happen and not what we need when rebuilding as it will only be for year. Still I’d love to see him in a Chelsea shirt.

Oh come Val, catch up would you. You know how important it is to know every ‘generational talent’ that’s floating about untapped in these minor leagues. You’re letting us oldies down with your lack of knowledge. Embarrassing. 😡

Chelsea 23/24 Season Friendlies Match Thread
Must admit would never have thought that the latter 3 would have got 200 between them. Really good to see these young lads being given a good run even though pre season.

Moises Caicedo to Chelsea! "Official"
Hope not, think this week will see the end of it. Either we stump up or more on. Really hope it’s move on.

Moises Caicedo to Chelsea! "Official"
I can understand to a degree where you are coming from but when does this all end with clubs getting into us as an easy touch. Said weeks ago that we needed to just walk away. Don’t really understand the hype surrounding him. Good enough player but lacks vision and creativity which you’d expect at £100 or even £60M. Maybe he’ll turn into the dogs bollicks but he’s not there atm and not guaranteed.

Have only seen I few highlights but it all looks very positive. Great to see positivity around Chelsea fans and on this forum. But remember!!! 🤣🤣

Conor Gallagher
Very useful member of the squad imo. Would hate to see him go and to that crowd and at that fee. Madness.

Moises Caicedo to Chelsea! "Official"
Can’t see them paying anywhere near £100 for him and if they do I’ll be glad we didn’t get sucked into paying that amount.

Pierre Emerick Aubameyang at Chelsea *Official*
OMG you’re right, was he not one of the ones who were to go to saudi. Thought he would have been one of the first ones out the door, suppose not many takers on whatever wage we pay him.

Rayan Cherki
Just watched the YouTube clip, well half of it, and he looks a generational talent to me Val. Sign him up!!!!!

Moises Caicedo to Chelsea! "Official"
Good, hope this ends this now. Shouldn’t deal with Brighton with their ridiculous valuations. Good luck in keeping him happy. Maybe if he has another good season, grand total of 2, they might be more justified.

Don’t know how true the Liverpool connection is but as far as VDV goes, no matter how the press and pundits wax lyrical about him. He’s 32, slowing down big style, was poor last season, wasn’t great the season before, he’s no Silva, needs replaced. Would be nice if Klopp is fooled by the hype and keeps him playing but he’s a decent manager.

So Lukaku is a bit of a Bawbag...
Still think he has a role to play for us if we can put trust in his ability and play to his strengths. 🫣🫣 Not serious btw. Out ta f**k you tramp!!!

Christian Pulisic - Official
Glad to see the back of him probably more than any other player. Can remember a few good games but they were few and far between. To weak for the EPL but he might do ok elsewhere. Has stole a living here for 4 years.

Christian Pulisic - Official
Milan are said to be confident that a deal will be wrapped up within the next 48 hours, with the 'final direct contact' between Chelsea and those in power at the San Siro expected to take place on Friday. The move will bring an end to Pulisic's four-year spell with the Blues, who he joined from Borussia Dortmund back in 2019 for a transfer fee in the region of £54m. It’s happening!!!

Moises Caicedo to Chelsea! "Official"
if this is true it’s insane. Need to just walk away from Brighton. Caicedo was very naive signing that new contract with a verbal assurance that he could leave in the summer. Just means Brighton can put up the fee to a ridiculous number which no one will meet. See how Brighton like having a star player on the books who doesn’t not want to be there. Maybe they’ll be easier to talk to in last week of window. As it stand we really need to walk away.

On the same page as Val with this signing. Got this feeling he might be an awful flop for us. His athleticism is great but I’m unsure of his actual footballing ability. Think he’d be a good signing at 30m but 80m is just wrong. Hopefully we either miss out or I’m proved totally wrong!!!

Mason Mount
I wouldn’t have thought ManU fans would be that impressed with Mount getting 7. That’s a special number for them reserved for for top level players. Best, Cantona, CR7. Good luck with that one Mason. 🤣

Mason Mount
Damned if you do, damned if you don’t for Mount in releasing a statement. Obviously it was prerecorded and prepared, don’t think many would just sit down and rattle something off without giving if some thought. He’s a professional footballer, not an actor so his delivery may not have been the best but it really is difficult to gauge his sincerity. I assume he will have his worries about leaving the comfort of Chelsea and moving on. I don’t know if it’s my age but Mount moving on does not bother me. I wish him no harm but neither do I wish him success. He was a good player for us but he’s not top drawer imo and easily replaced. More important things in life than wondering where these elite footballers are earning there next millions.

So it's Pochettino...and now officially gone!
I take it this would apply to any manager we would have hired, or just Pochettino?

Mason Mount
The difference in fan base now is social media. In 1979 when Butch went the first most people heard about it was reading it on the back page on the Sun when the deal was done. None of this weeks of rumour and speculation where anyone from 9-90 can spout sh*t and lies for whatever reason to suit there own little agendas, for click bait for wind up or whatever, and there are many, a lot on here, who seem to give credence to all the crap they read. Most annoying is that there are many who just want to believe and highlight the negatives about the club, the players, the manager, the owners to suit their backstory. In the 70’s 80’s the majority or football fans followed their teams though 5 min highlights on the weekend through MOTD and TBM and reading the Sunday papers. What players did was really none of my business and did not affect me. Those were happy days of supporting football IMO. Well here I am now, retired, having a cup of coffee, enjoying life, going to grandkids sports day later, but also drawn into feeling a need to spout off on a forum. BTW is social media classed as FB, twitter and those sort of things or does Fan Forums also come under the umbrella.

Raheem Sterling signs for Chelsea
Would also be in the sell camp but it’s not going to happen unless Sterling himself wants to move on. No one is going to match his wages unless we let him go very cheap.
-
Mason Mount
If Mount is not for signing and obviously we don’t want to loose him on a free next year the proper thing to do is let other cubs talk to him. In the meantime Pochettino will have an opportunity to try and persuade him to stay. Whatever he decides, and I hope he stays, will not really matter in the long run, there are more important things in life than if a 24 year old millionaire is happier here or at Man U. I’ll will not abuse him but I’ll not wish him any success in the further and hope he and whichever team he goes to fail miserably, which I do for all opposition.
