  1. He is a leader, someone who leaves everything out there, will put his body on the line and I don’t think he would accept anything less from those around him. Good enough ball player too. Silva is a thoroughbred, just a classy ball player. Unfortunately those around him are not on his wavelength and he maybe encourages more ball playing than our defence is capable off.
  2. Looks a bit more up for it, more aggressive and not willing to get shoved about. 👏
  3. Going to get slaughtered for this:- Silva is class, one of the best ever and I’m not suggesting that this guy is fit to lace his boots. However at present I think we’d be better off with a Dunk. Our defence needs controlled and lead and I think someone like this would be better suited.
  4. Don’t think it’s just as easy as that. Shearer said in the round up today that it not easy being a centre forward for Chelsea because of the delay on balls coming in or not coming in. I think Lukaku complained about it too. Time and time again rather than cross the ball first time they check back, then play back to someone else who won’t cross and next you know we are back with Silva. These are professional players and it’s easy to cross a ball first time that has been rolled to you. Defenders scrambling back must love it when we don’t cross first time and they can get themselves set. Have to excuse Madueke from this as he does try to hit dead ball line and cross. Maybe this is why he looks dangerous when he comes on.
  5. Enzo best game for a while. Tired the last 10mins but he does go through a lot of work. Caicedo was better today as was Colwill. Give it to Palmer. Really has some fantastic touches and sees the game a couple of seconds earlier that the rest of the team.
  6. Would help if we were 2 or 3 goals up. However with only 3 shots on target. Our goal was from a pen. We didn’t deserve to be 2/3 up. We really are toothless. Still it’s 3 points, 4 in a row. Maybe, just maybe we can start to believe a bit and start producing confident football.
  7. Really need that 2nd goal, crowd and defence looking a bit shakey. We’ve only had 2 shots on tgt so far and one of those was a pen. Need more efforts on tgt.
  8. I think this is the reason we get more penalties than any other team. We f**k about tippy tapping when most teams shoot. We confuse defenders into lunge tackles. Every cloud and all that!!!
  9. Haven’t read through the thread but my view was, Decent first 20 mins and then more of the same. Sterling on the left makes us too narrow. Can’t go outside so is easy to read coming from the left, needs someone overlapping. Enzo has been busy, much better, Cacedo has been better, Gallagher has been poor. Colwill has defended ok. Broja has been poor. Palmer is only real quality. Gusto could have seen red but yellow the right decision.
  10. A lot has been said about our young squad and this is passed as the reason that we are not handling games the way we should. when I think of a young player I always see players which want to be adventurous, attacking, willing to take risks. All I see atm moment is young players lacking in confidence and wanting to take the easy and safest way out. Looks like a team shackled.
  11. Yeah I agree and they did leave themselves wide open at times but they looked dangerous and are prepared to give it a go.
  12. Liverpool are behind, instead on f**king about at the back square ball passing they have a go. Ball is delivered at pace from front to back. What do you know they are leading 2-1.
  13. I suppose this would be the end of our winning streak.
  14. Don’t see a team and system out there. 11 guys doing their own thing.
  15. Let’s now pass about in our half, that will scare the sh*t out of their defence.
  16. This is just going to be loads of possession and no penetration and likely to get caught on the break.
  17. Awful half. Colwill should not be playing LB, nor should he be wearing 26.
  18. Maybe we are looking at him during the transfer window.
  19. Was thinking watching the match yesterday that’s there’s so much talk around Nunez, about his strength, work rate etc and he gets very mixed reviews. Would I want him here …………. No!!!
  20. Have to agree, believe he’s our number 1. In the games he has played I can just think of one poor clearance which went to opposition in a bad area for us. This was happening every game with Sanchez. In most other areas Sanchez maybe slightly better but as we insist on playing out from the back I think Petrovic needs a good long run of games. He needs to improve on cross balls though as teams will target him. I’m hoping that coming for crosses might be a confidence thing a bit like scoring goals is for strikers as I think this pass couple of games he has claimed a few under a bit of pressure and looked a bit more assured.
