Haven’t read though all this thread but I know there is a lot of negative feeling towards Potter. With some wanting him replaced already. I think he needs to be given time, at least a couple of seasons. This team isn’t his team, he hasn’t had one transfer window yet. I don’t know if he’ll turn things but I think he can. The all wonderful King Klopp took over a team that had finished 6th (the year before 2nd) and brought them all the way up to……… 8th. It was then 4th, 4th, and 2nd before winning the league in his fifth season. His only title btw, no chance of one this year. I think most Chelsea fans are tired of the manager revolving door, even though it was largely successful. The premier leagues most successful manager was sh*t the first couple of years and on the brink of the sack. We must give Potter time I’m afraid and as far as bad results and falling behind the dreaded enemies we’ll just have to suck it up. We’ve had a good 20 years but I’m afraid it’s getting more and more difficult as we see the Oil backed clubs dominate.

I went for Gallagher who shows some fight and energy. Hall had a good game when going forward but wasn't great defending. Sometimes Kovacic looks good, got nice quick feet, but his contribution to the team since he has come has been underwhelming. This must be his worst season so far and this probably his worst match. Whole mid field needs replaced.

Give it to mendy who made a few decent saves. Hall had a good game but need to do better with his chances.

Broja first touch would worry me a bit that he’d make top grade. His strength and pace is great though and sort of makes up for it.

Trying not to get too excited about his debut but there were a lot of things I liked. I thought he was mature in the way he handled himself and didn’t chase around trying to impress but played his natural game. He’s strong and he looked fast. He was calm with his finish, concentrated on getting a good firm strike on target. How many of our players would have blasted it over the bar. After a couple of interceptions he played a couple of really good quick firm forward passes for forwards to run on too. Early days but he should be getting more regular minutes if tonight performance was anything to go by.

Went for Chillwell with his second half performance. Got stronger as the game well on until that injury. Great corners, frees and linked up well to get in some dangerous crosses. Zakaria had a good debut, nice sharp forward passes after a couple of interceptions and looked strong and fast. Don’t want to get carried away after a part match. Chalobah had his usual strong game.

This problem predates the takeover. Maybe he is doing something about trying to fix it.

FFS I was about to post that one if my main positives about tonight was chillwell corners. Worth a place for that alone.

Sterling is a poor player, so much breaks down with him. Only thing he has going is that he pops up with the odd goal.

Spurs would then come third and head for the Europa League. Spurs will come second if they lose but Sporting or Frankfurt win.

Typical Havertz one off performance again. Played well overall and a super strike for the goal. But has he me believing in him again. Yes actually, he probably f**king has. That’s why he is so frustrating.

Really happy to see him doing well this season. Hes growing into the team with every appearance. Hope the club rewards him with a proper contract soon. Great player to have at the club and becoming more than a squad player. Interesting to see what happens on the Fofana return but he’ll be very hard to drop.
