Completely flopped at Juve and they have been wanting to get rid since last season.

Not surprised he wants the move. Juve are not using him much apparently.

So how does he compare to Alvarez and Sangare?

On the plus side this would be a loan. So not 50mill and a 6 year deal on wages for a player that may not be suited. 

Could we be he is as bad as Saul was, but he was a risk worth taking since he was once quality and would have been a bargain of he still have that in him. Maybe this guy does what Saul could not.

Loan agreed just breaking now. Seems he's our midfielder.

If it's just a loan with the option to buy like Saul then I don't see it doing any harm.

Depends if he plays. Injury record isnt great.

Best we could probably do this late, hopefully he does better here than he did in italy. 

Technically and athletically pretty good, but an uninspiring end to the window.

He is an athletic midfielder, tall rangey, passes okay, does okay under pressure, can shoot okay, and can carry the ball. The trouble is, he had a serious injury a couple of seasons and has yet to rediscover the form that saw him linked with £50m moves to Barcelona, Liverpool and ourselves.

What was the injury?

6 foot 3 eh? So Alvarez 6 1 and Sangare 6 3. We wanted someone big there.

Well better a loan than dropping 50m on a last minute target imo. He’s pretty much an insurance policy for kante and kovacic. 
 

I’m sure Ampadu could have done this job though… weird

So we are letting Ampadu and Gilmour go to sign a injury prone player on loan to play with injury prone Kante and Kovacic.

What is our manager doing?. Had all summer to go for a midfielder but he chose to go after a player who never wnated to join us.

I wonder why we left to so late knowing we needed a defensive mid. Oh well, we wait. Maybe we can negotiate in Jan for another midfielder.
