Ignoring the roman era for a secon, he was a flop by chelsea standards. We where a better than we achieved season after season under CR Trophy's - 0 CL fnishes - 1 (just, we did try our very best to throw it away) We finished behind ipswich on one occation newcaslte on every occation and we had a better team than both for crying out loud!! continuesly bombed out of uefa cup to POOR opponants And its not like he didnt have cash to spend, in his first season and a half i think he spent somthing in the region of 50 mill+ Gronks Zendon Petit to name a few of the players he splashed out on He took us backwards when he had the recources to push on The when he when he fianly did get us in to the CL again it looked all the more miracilouse due to the fact that we had gone so far back under him!! Ironic that it happend in a season where he was given no cash to spend and there for could not ring the changes as he craved so much. In addition to that we had a re-juvinated Zola and a peaking lampard... so really id say we probably got that 4th spot inspight of him [/b]

Dont think that its possible to make a jugment on him till next season when he has had time to make the squad his own... if he flops next season then fair enough but hey CR flopped for 4 seasons and you still maintained he was good at his job

Im very confused, last season the problem was that we didnt have any one capable of picking a killer pass from deep and a major reason why cole was not suited to central midfield, essein couldnt be played with lampard and we shouldnt have sold tiago. This season its that we have no one that can get close enough to the strikers and deliver a short killer pass... Coffuzeled

IMO the short term option is the best, as we are short but im still convinced that cole can easily play that role when he returns besides im also hoping that with a full compliment of staff we go back to a 4-3-3 by the way there is no way barca would part with deco but despite his antics he is a phenomanle player!!

We need somthing, with no cole, no robben, no any one!! there is absaloutly no magic in that midfied, to robotic, so what im thinking is... Roman offers this man 50 percent in all his company's for service untill the end of the season!! Now i have posted it i fully expect that it will appear in the papers tommorow!!

Straight of the top of my head barca away last season he was played as the furtherst forward of the middle three with Joe and Duff on the wings both of whome could have probably done a better job. Ok it wasnt tip of diamond but it was obviuse he was lost with with the restrictions that come from playing in Center mid, the game was passing him by.

As he is done at 27 (very sad i agree) and realisticly he should go till about 33 i wonder if the universe will accept my application to fill in for the last 5 or so years of his career

Robben at the tip of any dimond has never worked, in fact at times its been very painfull to watch. The guy needs freedom but thats to rome the wings and switch at will. He doesnt get the room he needs in the center and cirtainly wont with the diamond

No way in the world that gronks can be in there. In fact he has legendary status in my book for one macth, liverpool at the bridge last game of the season, baba was a dissapointment for me. He came withs huge expectations have also been coverterd by Manure, such terms as "can run with the pigions followed" obvusly indicating blistering pace... at the end of the day thouhg just never worked out

If gooners had scored that goal, they would have hailed it as wenger style master play!! As it was i dont think to much was made of how good a goal it actually was from start to finish

What i wouldnt give to have a fully fit cole and robben supplying the drogfather when he's in this form!! Iv long thought that coles crossing has come on in leaps and bounds to the point where i consider him to be one of the best in the prem. With him and robben in full flow on either wing and id back us against any team in eurpoe

Agree with a lot of that but id have bridge on an 8 thought he was excelent And balak on a 6 still offered very little looked better because he had kalou playing next to him who had a mare, lamps robben, bridge and drgoba all stand out for me

From what ive been able to make out so far. robben has been are best player, causing problems no end, using his pace to good effect and playing others in to the game very well!! Lamps has also looked lively and hillario terrifies me with ever cross

The culture thing yes, thats a given but milan played a dimond around sheva and co striker so the system shouldnt be to unfamilure to him

We may not win the league this season, hell we may not win anything this season!! And some of the football has been very hard to stomach. I also take issue with some of Joses decitions this season like the one to stick with balack even though its to the detirment of the team. BUT i am getting a little bit bored with the fault picking of the man on every other thread. As i say he has made mistakes this season, guess what he made mistakes last season and the one before as well, kind of comes with being human. Innate flaw some would call it. The fact is he gets it right more offten than he gets it wrong. Ferguson, wenger, cloughie, they all got it wrong a few times, hell cloughie took forest down and i class him above the other two because he did it with out the cash advantage of the other two!! We are down three key players as far as im concerned, cole who IMO would have played his way in by now, terry and chec. Players of this magnitued would cripple any club and our cash makes us no exception!!! Like to see how united do with out rooney, ronnaldo and rio? Then there's the Jose cant pick a player argument, drogba and essien are two easy answers for that. AND before any one points to the fact that they where doing it before they came to chelsea and it was an easy pick, many of ya where quick to use them in the Jose cant pick a player argument when they wernt kicking it so spectacualarly... now there keeping us alive. And from a non chelsea point of view Jose has been f***king fantastic for the EPL, gives evey one somthing to talk about and while the world hates him and call him arogent and obnioxtios they still hang of his every word other wise they wouldn't really care as much. Added in to that the fact that he's come along at a time when wenger and ferguson where happily carving up horners between them season after season (and i dont care that there was one time when liverpool and our selves came second, other wise knowen as the first looser) and crahed that party so spectacularly. Concluding my rant, Jose has been fantasitc for the EPL and for chelsea there may be 5 other manager in the world any where nere as good. I understand commenting on bad games wich we are having at the moment but the generalisation that jose or the players arnt good enough all of a sudden!! Utter noncesnce!!
