Lamps breaks his toe
I say we stop responding to the mdeia bollox. Medjia black out if you like. no players to give interviews, no questions answered. Write what you want the club will answer no question and will do its talking on the pitch. Thats the stance the club should be taking IMO becuase i can garantee the papers will do all they can to destablise us again this season

Friendly vs Brondby
Im going to say it now... We will lose on sunday, there ive said it!! and as i said else where it bothers me little!! Im almost cirtain that JM will play some strange formation that will bring back memmorys of the CR days and then switch things around so we'r still playing somthing no one understands, i have expect to see sheva at rightback, well lets be honest every one else has had a go at it, why not!! It doesnt matter what happens in the charity shield. it will have no momentum offering it will not have a bearing on the season! it will be a game where most players will be looking to play them selves in and not get injured!! Moving on to you sofa managa/portuga!! just looking at drogbas second goal, who was it that created it for him, i couldnt quite see.... bahhh... you portugease and your poor mans xxx and xxxx... what have you guys ever one any way.. 1966!!!

[web]http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11661_2635536,00.html[/web] I have to wander what it is exactly he feels he can offer the kids?? How to put your foot in it every time your away on international duty? I hope he is made captian. Fantastic deffender but not a great leader! Funny thing is he probably had his worst season in year last year...

Friendly vs Brondby
Just to add to the pre-season debate going on accross the forums i actually consider the community/charity what ever the hell it is now thingy pre-season as well. Well be happy if we win but couldnt give a toss if we loose. It has absaloutly no bearing on the season what so ever. Didnt always feel this way, used to think it was a big deal and a good marker for how the season was going to go but then i saw us take united apart with the super mario brothers (stanic and melchiote), ok and jimmy helped to I swore blind it was our year, no one could touch us... we all know the rest. Scousers saidn the same thing last season when they beat us and they didnt do any better than the season before. Augaust 11th!! thats when its time to get critical IMO

Take your "respect" and stick it where the sun don
Good point callista... and going to put my head on the chopping block here and say IMO if he had gone to scousers instead of here they would have won the league by now, not sure if it would have been in his first season but cirtainly his second

Liverpool sign Leiva
You cant use the word NET as a deffence for spending money, your still spending vast amounts of cash on players, vast ammounts that many other teams can not afford and have probably upped the wages a little with the new owners on bored. If your spending 25 million on a player, you cant then say we'r not buying the league because we sold a few where as when chelsea spent 25 mill on a player they let no one go so there for they have baught the league!!
-
Take your "respect" and stick it where the sun don
The same could be said for all the managers at the top, all have a go at there counterparts for having big mouths and then go and open there pie whole needlesly them selves. What i will say is that when i first saw Jose at porto druing the united tie i knew instantly that was the guy i wanted to succede CR, you need some one with a bit of arogance and suppirority about them to succede in the EPL IMO Where as ive alwasy though faty benitez was a toad!! By and by point still stands, fergi has had his spats with wenger and Jose and will with benitez and the same will be true for all four. If any other manager actually makes it up there they will be treated with the same regard by other managers and fans alike! Im a little confused here, you say the presure is no different because you have only spent your usual buget but then you say this: I know you site other reasons but you make refference to teh funds, so are you now saying that you didnt have the cash before because above your saying you have spent the same?? so which is it? or have you speant the same as always but having the money in the bank will make your players raise there games? I do love the fact that you scousers seem to forget the Houllier spent ni on 250 million and failed to deliver the league. You cant win the league with out money FACT But money doesnt win you the league either FACT

SWP best by a country mile so far
A year ago i said he was done, just didnt seem to be able to produce it in a team of our ilk that move the ball about as opposed to citys gung hoe style under keegan. But his end of season form made him a starter. Pre-season has seen him up the level as well. Looking back at his time at city he seemed to have a free role. maybe he does need to play in center as jack has mentioned. Would be great if we can get the best out of him but im still a little scepticle due to the fact that i just cant see him being one of jose's regulers and you can never really hit top form unless your getting games under your belt

The film remake thread (especially Zulu)
Ah, if only! But, dare I say the catch 22 of that is that if you don't have the rights for something, then writing a screenplay becomes no more than a writing exercise, as nobody will ever read the darn thing!* (and it's hard enough to get folks to read your stuff as it is! lol) In that dream world where everybody hangs on my every wish (paging Ms. Diaz...) I do have several projects I would L.O.V.E to re-write / adapt for the big screen. Stuff like, Zulu, The Warriors, Judge Dread, Day of Trifids, Blake's 7, Logan's Run, Camelot 3000 (to name a few). But, ya know...until Spielberg or Sam Raimi start returning my calls, these projects will remain the stuff of fantasy! *the only exception to this being in TV-land, where writing 'sample episodes of your favourite show' is often a way to get noticed by the producers of the show in question. Ok brian, Judge dread needs a re-make it was awfull but do you not think zulu and warriors are best of left completly as they are, timeless classics? no affects just great films.. just a question by the way, im not forbing you from doing it, i will just keep forbiding spielberg from call ya back

Chelsea player on the way to Home Park
Whats happend to sincalre? injury aside i dont think that he would be sent back, i have a feeling jose wants to use him a bit this season if he can, thus why he was involved in pre-season accross the pond. Could be one of the forighn kids, there's about 3 of them showing very promising form

it's la liga team of the season time again...
Getting a bit lazzy in your old arnt ya? normaly we have a detailed description and justification of every player. I feel a bit ripped of this year if im honest!!

Offer in
this is the latest from sky sports on the matter http://home.skysports.com/list.aspx?hli ... &channel=& Way i see it and am sure others have mentioned it already... real seem pretty desprate to get there man here, wether it be because on the election promise or just becuase they dont seem to have an alfull lot in terms of attacking tallent from midfield they want robben.... so if we are to loose him we really should be very unreasonable about it and make them pay well over the odds, im sure thats how it works... it seems to be how it worked with drogba, essien, sheva, cava, etc

Hutch up, then, Just and get me a pint. I've always been at that table. Great, great player on his day and one of the few players to have real pace - that has never been in question. But his injury situation is as bad as they come and there is no doubt that he is a very sulky player (well he is Dutch after all!!) and he seems to turn it on and off as & when he feels like it. Unfortunately for the past couple of seasons it's been off more than on Will be kinda sorry to see a talented player go if he does go, but there is no way he could ever be looked upon as a key player for us - not with his record. And none of us will miss his embarrassing play acting & diving. In fact if he does go to Madrid, I would love us to play them in this seasons CL and see JT go through him with one of his trademark challenges and see how he reacts when he's really got something to whinge about. On the play acting and diving, joe cole is just as guilty and because he's not as good at it its more embaresing. If ronnaldo was a chelsea player would we want rid because of is diving and crying? i dare say no. i dont enjoy it, its embaresing but it has become part of the sport unfortunatly. Fact is that robben is a game changer, can make somthing out of nothing and scares the cr@p out of deffenders. ability wise he is right up there with the best of them. there is the massive question mark over his fittness and mentality. one big challenge tends to see him out of a game and he does tend to fail to turn up for the big games gooners aside. but those things can be worked on and id much rather see him in are starting line up then lineing up against us. Unless we have messi lined up (impossible) then i dont want to see him going any where

Tevez or Shev
Tevez doesn't have the height to play up front on his own within our 4-3-3 formation. He would be muscled out of the game when cetnre halves are allowed to double up on him thus minimising the impact of having two wingers and also making us suffer because of the large gap bewteen our midfield and our lone striker. Well no not if we'r hoofing it up the pitch to him but if we played it on the floor a little bit like we did against arse and when guddy used to play uprfrount he is more than capable!! strong player, with the ability to drop a little bit and play in the wingers who in that formation should be acting as second strikers or alternatvie feed of the supporting wingers and advancing center mids We now have four orthdox wingers and Kalou who has been selected to play out wide on a fair few occasions - why do we need yet another player to fill that space on the pitch, especially when it isn't his natrual position. Just an example that he could and would fit in, weather you deam him better than what we have there is a matter of oppinion, i personly think horses for corses same as the previouse point, he fits in, if needed. Basicaly there are plenty of places in the system he can be accomadate

Tevez or Shev
I went for tevez, lagely for the reason that last season when it seemed like a choice between the two i wanted tevez then. Im actually going to stick a few pound on sheava to be EPL golden boot this season.... henry gone, and the odds will be good, never right sheva off (i hope) but if i had to choose tevez every time, mostly because of the age thing, to see him working magic in a chelsea shirt for the next 8 seasons or so would be a dream and in answer to loz's question about where he would fit in, in a 4-3-3... take your pick... from what iv seen and heard he's pretty versitile, could play up frount on his own can do a job on the wing in an advanced role like in our 4-3-3, seemes to like to come in of the left wing for west ham a lot. or if your feeling really brave play him in midfield as the furtherst man forward like deco did for porto as he userd to play that role for boca

ROBBEN.
Duffer has spent most of the last season injured, and when he has played he has been less than impressive. Many might say that this has somthing to do with the team he's been playing in but then you have to remmeber that he justified his 17 mill fee by playing a team of pretty much that level. he was phenomanle for two seasons for us but in that last season he seemed terrified to take people on maybe his sholdue was playing on his mind. who know's but for some reason or another he's lost it Big time. Another player jose made a simmeler assemeent with was mika, ability and determination had him destined for great things and a firm fans faveriot at the bridge but some body obvusly had a word in joses ear and told him that boy would never have a full season fit, even half a season fit at that!! He made the hard call much as he did with duffer, devistated the fand but it looks like he got both right in the long run. Another one that had me asking questions was getting rid of parker for essien who to me looked the same player but just not english... iv spent the whole of last season eating humble pie on that one!! It seems that while jose has made mistakes in the transfer market (which all managers do) when it comes to letting players go wether the fans agree or not he has been spot on!

The way forward
Paulo to stay, more than capable all the wingersto stay, we'e going to need them Mikel would be so much better utilised higher up the pitch with his quick feet and mind would terrarise deffences
-
Looks like Tevez is going to Man Utd then
So bascialy what you saying is some one needs to rip up those papers that lay claim to tevez... he beggins at west ham and any one wanting his services will have to pay the going rate?? just checking
