The key thing is weather we keep sheva or not!! If we are than we dont need to invest any further.. between sheva, drogba and kaulo (yes he is a striker) we are coverd the we have sincalre and saha and there either going to be good enough or there not Yes its a gamble to go in to a season with two young strikers that our unprooven in the league but out of the two of them one must be able to step up, as has been mentioned else where rooney and owen where good enough but for every owen you have a cadimatary, i personly think that given the chance they could both expload on to the sceane, i know its only israel but there not the 3rd world footballing nation that people thing they are and to be in the full team already at 17 is impressive!!

I was watching bothy games in the pub and i guess thats probably the ulitmate rollercoaster of emotion as far as football is concerned. half time i was sure we were going to win the league, full time its over!! Few things... united did not deserve that result.. two joke goals and that c*nt nevill putting in his own net so blatently!! what a joke!! but for our part we didnt look shatered and massivly lacking in ideas or energy to come up with any thing. Dont expect any more from joe cole against scousers either, the guy had three games or so on adrelalin and now looks really foooked. he was always going to hit that wall and he hasnt rediscoverd his positioning yet either so thats a right of. some of that is fair, but some is ridiculous. To put yourself in as underdogs really confuses me. You are superior in the league, and the number of games played is not an excuse to be putting in this early surely. As your manager said very early this season, you started 10 games after everyone else because you were pimping your arses across the globe instead of preparing for the new season. This game has to have you as favourites, the fact that we can rest players in between doesnt change that for me. We can win, but you are definately favourites. Without doubt. Just as you were in 2005. The problem for us this year is that you lot might actually sing in the home leg of the semis, which might mean we might go into the second leg behind. If we do, i think you will win, if its even or we lead, we shall reach Athens, in my humble opinion. As for the 'The sheer drama of Istanbul will almost certainly never be topped by any team in any major final', i personally think that is fair. This is, its ture, we have seen robben score simmeler goals (not sure if quite as good) but that was all in the first season, im not some one that believes he is a one trick poney who has been figured out, hell i still believe he can be everything ronnaldo has been this seaon. For me his problem is more mental than anything else, he seemes to lack the mental streghnth that ronnaldo, cole and even SWP (must be said) posses and goes missing when things arnt going his way, the first two mentioned will drop deaper for the ball, want it more to sort things out and probably up there work rate. robben goes missing. Ive not seen enough of messi to comment on how he reacts when things arnt going his way but on pure ability he's cirtainly right up there, wouldnt say no

No real point in buying a top notch striker at the moment IMO end of the day sheva will be more effective next season and no one is going to displace the drogfarther at the moment!! IMO the best rout to take is get Ben and scott involved a little, there either going to be good enough or there not and they should be able to go up against teams like charlton ect and impress!!

I stil think a lot of tevez and the most impressive thing to come out of this mare season of his is the fact that he hasnt dispaeard, he has kept at it, kept believeing in his ability!! has that little bit extra about him. That said we have 3 very exciting young forwards in kalou, Ben sahar and Sinclare. i think tevez would stunt the progress of at least one of these if not all.. im happy with are lot and maybe trying to intergrate the younger two more as well, sooner or later gonna have to trust them of ship them

I actually find my self agreeing with you on both accounts!! I seem to remmber loz insisting the guy would never be a striker, so i was equaly as confused when reading down this thread. Also agree that his best position would prob be on the left of a 3 man attak as gullit deployed him. But think he can also do a good job in a 2 man attak as well.. hoping he matures in a to a simmeler player to henry.. he's getting goals now and his confidence has to be going up!! On the main topic, clearly we will miss roben, even a poor performing robben which he has been for most of the season is still a threat! As for german Blue, where you in a cave some where last season unable to watch any football?
