Mateo Kovačić
Such a fantastic player, no idea how Dross Barkley manages to start over him. Kovacic is levels ahead of him.

Pulisic was quality, Jorginho and Kovacic in midfield together utterly dominated. CHO was stupendous. Dave, Tomori and Zouma back 3 was actually very good despite some small blips here and there. All in all glorious performance and result

To be fair, they are a much weaker team compared to last year. Their team has been gutted with several good players leaving

Exactly, we're still in that early success phase.. Look at what happened to Ole after that lucky period was over. We got a long way to go, but at the moment things are definitely looking good

Didier Drogba - Happy Retirement To The King
Oh yeah no doubt Ronaldo has showed up on the big occassion, but I was more comparing their general game-to-game performances, at least in recent years anyway. Most of what Ronaldo does now is just sit in the box and score goals, but I feel Messi runs the game. But of course Ronaldo will score a goal and Messi might not, so the stats would favour Ron. Exactly, everyone always seems to claim Henry as the greatest prem footballer ever, which im not saying he isnt. He is clearly a great player, but in the big games? He had nowhere near the impact of Drogba and thats just a fact. If you were in a champions league final, Drogba is clearly the man you would pick.

Its laughable really, whatever suits the opp's agenda

Didier Drogba - Happy Retirement To The King
Exactly my point, all people seem to do is look at stats to claim who is better. I think its mainly down to Messi and Ronaldo who post up crazy stats, so now thats all people tend to look at. but even delving into that, if you just look at Messi and Ronaldo play, anyone can see Messi is the much better player despite their stats being fairly similar. But getting back on topic, stats have ruined everything. Another classic chelsea example would be a player like Jorginho. Doesnt score many goals, doesnt assist much.. But anyone who watches football knows what a massive player he is and how much he contributes. In a big game on a big stage, there are very few players Id pick over him. Even the likes of Henry and Suarez, as brilliant as they were in the prem, where did they have a standout performance in a cup final or huge game? I certainly cant remember. Whereas Drogba performed better on the big stage and thats a pretty priceless asset

Looking forward to this, but Ajax are a great side (despite their team being gutted over the summer) and we are playing away from home. If we come out of this game with a convincing win, it'll do wonders for our confidence going into saturdays game

Didier Drogba - Happy Retirement To The King
Seen a lot of recent polls and such on twitter recently about the prem's best strikers, and it makes me mad how underrated Drogba is. All rival fans seem to do is look at stats and claim Drogba was terrible, but anyone who actually watched him play knows how much of a threat he was and what impact he had in a game, something you simply cant just put into numbers

Jorginho is.... (well now was) a Blue
What a player we have on our hands! Pretty sure Pep could have won the champions league if they had bought this guy in last year

League Position Next Season.
We'll be a lot better next year compared to how we are now, but I feel we are still quite a bit behind the likes of City and Liverpool. To be fair though, neither of them look as they looked last year so maybe the gap won't be as large as it has been for the past couple years. Lets see how the youth players perform by the end of the season, and if we are to make any good signings in the transfer market once we're allowed to

Tammy Abraham
Looks good on papers, but lets not kid ourselves these lot have a loooooong way to go! Especially Tomori after his last few games, JT was sensational

Exactly, its just a username.. And compared to how we have been as a whole in the past in regards to playing youth, we're doing a damn good job now. But does that mean we never need to sign anyone again? Obviously not. Just the integration of youth along with some quality signings and thats a recipe for success, but of course Yorkey just likes to pick at minute details and try to cause arguments. At least this forum has some members that can have a reasonable discussion

Very well said, Yorkey has always been a troll on this forum that nobody likes but the staff have their tongue so far up his ass so he will always get away with it and its others who gets punished. Back on top ic though, I definitely agree! Not saying the team needs an overhaul, but maybe 1 or 2 world class signings in some of our weaker positions and that would drastically change this team for the better.

As long as I see CHO starting, it's all good

Chelsea v Newcastle (PL) Sat 19th Oct 15:00 GMT
You thick c**t, we can't entirely rely on just our youth to pull us through when they have 0 experience can we? Its like how Tomori has been the past few games making many mistakes, whereas if we sign a world class CB like Koulibaly for example, he can learn much more. Signing Sancho as a winger would prove fruitful as well, and I guess he counts as a youth player anyway as hes still very young. Not saying we need too many signings, but a couple here and there while getting rid of some deadwood and we're a contender for top honours. But obviously a moron such as yourself doesn't like to use his brain power (as limited as it may be) but instead just wants to try make an unfunny joke
-
Chelsea v Newcastle (PL) Sat 19th Oct 15:00 GMT
Definitely headed in the right direction! Super Frankkkkkkkkkkk! Now to just part with some more deadwood and hit the transfer market when we can again

Chelsea v Newcastle (PL) Sat 19th Oct 15:00 GMT
Pulisic good, Willian good, Alonso pretty bad apart from his goal. On the whole, cant complain about 3 points. Not that I endorse wishing our own players getting injured, but Barkley going off can only be good for us. Kovacic is miles better than him

Pulisic plays good balls, but why the f**k didnt he shoot that? Thought as an american he'd love the opportunity to shoot...
