"So far away, so far away...

Captain America's been torn apart and now he's a court jester with a broken heart".

The lyrics from Paradise City seem appropriate. A bit harsh on Pulisic maybe.

Nearly 2 weeks to the next game. I actually dont mind for once, time for Frank to reflect and plan. Also closer to Rudiger and RLC's return.

I think we will win though might be close.

They beat Utd after going back to last season's formation of 3CBs, might give them a bit of belief.

I wonder who will mark Carroll from set pieces ?

It seems that Newcastle have been a bit of a bogey team for us, since the 2010 season when they binned us 3-0 in the League Cup. followed by a couple draws then a string of losses up at their place too.

Andy Carroll will be a handful and they've just beat UTD so will be as confident as we are.

Expect a tough game...will Rudiger be fit? I feel that's an important part of the puzzle

They've always been a bit of a bogey team for us, and they did just beat Utd.. But then again it is Utd so probably doesnt mean anything. Hope to keep the good form rolling in

Living in the toon myself it'll be a tough one to take if we don't win this, but I reckon their big display was against United, they're a dreadful team so if we have any sort of form we should be tonking them on home turf. Don't fancy us to keep many clean sheets this season, but i'm going to make a bold prediction and say we'll win this 4-0

Think they will 100% play Andy Carroll against our defence and hope to win as many frees and corners as possible.

If this was away I would be a lot more nervous since they love taking points off us up there, but at home we should beat them. Then again our home form has been poor this season, they've been impressive against the top 6 but they're full of problems and realistically we should be winning this.

For a big guy Andy Carroll isn't that effective in the air to be honest, as for Newcastle we have more than enough to sweep them aside pretty comfortably.

That probably explains why he elbows his opponents in the face.

I started typing a similar response on my break at work but someone bothered me and I forgot.

I see Kante is injured again, this time with the French team.

“He felt a pain in the adductor muscle. He had a feeling where he did not feel comfortable to play. I made the decision [to pull him from the squad], because maybe it could get even worse.

“I do not think it’s too serious for NG, but I do not have an answer tonight,” Deschamps predicted.”

never fancy games after the International break especially when the other team that has very few internationals has the entire time to prepare for the game.  Bruce will play 5 at the back and smother the middle hoping for the break away or set piece...this may be a tough game to win....I'll hope for a narrow 1-0 victory

Seems like the perfect game and perfect opponent to go with 2 up top for the first time this season.

James

God No! Not with a midfield duo of Kante & Jorginho. Kante will be so far upfield breaking up play, and Jorginho will be getting bullied by the Longstaff brothers.
