PlayDaYouf reacted to Imran_CFC in Mateo KovačićOne of the most underrated players in the league, some of the social media fans who purely go on stats rather than actually watching a game criminally underrate him and Jorginho.
Hate it when media state facts such as so & so hasn't scored for x matches, that is clearly not there job especially in the system that Lampard plays where we have 4 genuinely attacking players.
In real world terms it's a case of criticising the HR department for not making any Sales.

This has been a great response from Pulisic. He hasn't sulked about not being picked in the first few months, he has taken his chances when they have come, now he is doing it again.

I thought the much lambasted Azpilicueta and Alonso were absolutely outstanding tonight.

This is his mom:
She raised him and showed him football.
Nice guy, hard working professional, example on the pitch and loved by all managers he worked for, Frankie loves him.
But then some troll comes here and starts lying how he plays bad. That could have worked last season since he was new and a scape goat, but he's now starting to be a favorite for many fans, you know real Chelsea fans.

Pretty sure Pep could have won the champions league if they had bought this guy in last year

PlayDaYouf reacted to Slojo in Didier Drogba - Happy Retirement To The KingDrogba was never the most clinical infront of the goal but he was easily one of the best strikers with his back to goal.
He's one of those players that would've been world class in any setup or team, the amount of players that used to score around him due to his link up play was never ending.

PlayDaYouf got a reaction from Londonisblue in Didier Drogba - Happy Retirement To The KingOh yeah no doubt Ronaldo has showed up on the big occassion, but I was more comparing their general game-to-game performances, at least in recent years anyway. Most of what Ronaldo does now is just sit in the box and score goals, but I feel Messi runs the game. But of course Ronaldo will score a goal and Messi might not, so the stats would favour Ron.
Exactly, everyone always seems to claim Henry as the greatest prem footballer ever, which im not saying he isnt. He is clearly a great player, but in the big games? He had nowhere near the impact of Drogba and thats just a fact.
If you were in a champions league final, Drogba is clearly the man you would pick.

PlayDaYouf got a reaction from DidierDrogbalala in Didier Drogba - Happy Retirement To The KingSeen a lot of recent polls and such on twitter recently about the prem's best strikers, and it makes me mad how underrated Drogba is.
All rival fans seem to do is look at stats and claim Drogba was terrible, but anyone who actually watched him play knows how much of a threat he was and what impact he had in a game, something you simply cant just put into numbers

PlayDaYouf reacted to Gol15 in Didier Drogba - Happy Retirement To The KingThis is why stats are important as well. If you don't see that Messi has been playing in 1 system his whole career where the team is built exactly for him he obviously will look like a much better player.
But when you notice that he prefers to have the ball in his feet all the time, (or otherwise he won't feel like playing) when you notice that he comes deep to get the ball so often it all affects the perception of how people will see him.
Because Ronaldo has adapted to multiple teams and has played equally well in multiple systems it doesn't look like he's that good as Messi even if his stats are similar but if you look a bit deeper you can see that Ronaldo has had a broader repertoire of football skills overall. So it all comes down to who do you prefer, more variation or more of the same.
I would pick Ronaldo over Messi, not because he knows how to play better than Messi but because he can give much more to a team overall and still put up the numbers, the same argument I can give about Drogba, having him on the pitch brings more than just good numbers, he was a great leader that could hold a team together through the toughest days.

PlayDaYouf got a reaction from Londonisblue in Didier Drogba - Happy Retirement To The KingExactly my point, all people seem to do is look at stats to claim who is better. I think its mainly down to Messi and Ronaldo who post up crazy stats, so now thats all people tend to look at. but even delving into that, if you just look at Messi and Ronaldo play, anyone can see Messi is the much better player despite their stats being fairly similar.
But getting back on topic, stats have ruined everything. Another classic chelsea example would be a player like Jorginho. Doesnt score many goals, doesnt assist much.. But anyone who watches football knows what a massive player he is and how much he contributes.
In a big game on a big stage, there are very few players Id pick over him. Even the likes of Henry and Suarez, as brilliant as they were in the prem, where did they have a standout performance in a cup final or huge game? I certainly cant remember. Whereas Drogba performed better on the big stage and thats a pretty priceless asset

Everybody can post their comments but Yorkeyblue made an uncalled for personal insult and also made a very demeaning comment. This is a football fans forum and people come here for fun. It really isn't in the spirit of the forum to come here and fire off nasty insults. Speaking "street a*se" wasn't called for and maybe neither was "Playdayoofs" use of the C word but YB needlessly started it and then went on the attack. Is Yorkey a Chelsea fan? I've looked back on a number of his posts and it does appear he is prone to judging other posters and making it personal.
It shouldn't be personal. Aren't we Chelsea fans together and can't we just talk Chelsea without attacking each other?
