Even Mendy thought it was funny as it was an inside joke. I can see where there is a racist feel to this, but I feel like it was just banter between team mates more than anything. For the sake of us and the league though, hope he gets a nice long ban ?

Fair point, didn't take into account Koulibaly's age! For some reason I thought he was younger than his actual age, but thats probably because when we were first linked with him several years ago, he was actually quite young ? Im on board with that for sure though, Koulibaly, Rudiger, Christensen, Tomori as our four CB's is fantastic. In all honesty actually, I would probably take Romagnoli over Koulibaly, but thats a discussion for a different day.

As long as we finish top 4 this season, and have a good season in general. Im more than happy. Near impossible to win the league this season, but as long as we play well and progress then im more than happy. Depending on how this season goes and how our youth play, I think next season or the season after will be the real push for the title.

If RJ is fit enough to start, I want him to start. Tomori, Mount, CHO and Abraham to start as well if they are all fit..

Rudiger + 50m for Koulibaly in a swap deal? Would love to see that happen! As much as I love Rudi, he has definitely been a bit suspect

I was thinking the same, but lets not jump on the bandwagon too early. He has definitely shown some good signs so far, but so have a lot of past players only for them to go play terrible later. Remember Kalas? 1 good performance against liverpool, and thats all he managed. Christensen too looked really promising when he first broke through, and then he was pretty awful in the middle for a while. But he is coming back into his old form and playing reasonably well. I think we need to sell Zouma and sign a CB like Koulibaly or Romagnoli. Maybe sell Christensen as well. Then we'll have a trio or Koulibaly/Romagnoli, Rudiger and Tomori which I think is a fantastic trio. Could even promote another youth CB to be 4th choice

I really hope not. Tomori needs more big game experience, and there's nowhere better than the champions league.

Agree, nothing tells me Pasalic will start ahead of who we have already. Thought he was going to get sold this season after a decent performance in Italy last year, but just got sent out on loan again.

Given the rise of our youth players, I actually dont think we need to spend all too much on players anymore. Think what we mainly need now is a world class winger, I think Sancho fits the role for that. CHO and Sancho on the wings with Pulisic back up winger. Think we might need a world class CB as we have a few "average" CB's but nobody thats elite level atm. We can get rid of Zouma and bring in a world class CB like Romagnoli or Koulibaly, which leaves Rudiger, Christensen and Tomori as backup options. Zouma + Christensen or Rudiger + 50m for Romagnoli/Koulibaly would be great imo. Definitely want to keep Tomori given how hes been playing, but the others have been a bit suspect at times.

Its tough to say but Kovacic at his best is a far better player than Barkley at his best.

He started pretty well, but a few games in he just became known his making lots of little pointless passes. In the middle of the season when he had our bad run, he truly was awful and became a scapegoat for the side performing so badly. But towards the end of the season, he was one of our best players and hes just carried on that good form into the current season.

Pretty much agree with everyone here, none of the players we have aged over 22 atm is good enough to play for us. They will probably all need to get sold, but knowing us and how we love to use the loan system, I can still see us loaning out the maximum number of 8 players. We certainly did do very well this summer though in getting rid of a whole host of deadwood players. Now if only we can carry that on in January, but the winter window is always quiet as its the middle of the season, so not sure who's getting sold then, aside from Hector

I was thinking the same as I was typing the names out, but we are a club thats notorious for loans so I think we will try and do the maximum number we can. I think out of the few I mentioned maybe Musonda has a chance if he can get back to good form and possibly Kenedy as well if he improves. But aside from that, I do think its unlikely for everyone else on the list. Also I just want to see what players other members on here think are worth loaning out

Not sure what the situation is with our youth players under that age, but for the time being 22 and over we can only have 8 players next season, and the season after that thats getting cut down to 6. So who are you guys keeping and think is worth loaning out the following season? 20/21 - Blackman, Kenedy, Musonda, Pasalic, Clarke-Salter, Izzy Brown, Bakayoko (unless we can flog him to another team), Piazon (only because hes signed a 2 year loan deal, so takes up an automatic loan spot) What are your thoughts?

Fraud of a player. Our youth have come through and after barely any games they are all out performing him. Ross seems to be nothing short of a flat track bully and only playing well against awful opposition. Think we need to sell him ASAP. Really no idea why he's starting over Kovacic atm, when Kovacic has shown hes a much better player this season at every opportunity.
