September 29, 20196 yr This is a must win for me. After losing the first game, a draw or loss here could be too damaging, especially with Valencia and Ajax away still to come.

September 29, 20196 yr What do we know about Lille? 4th in League 1, lost 0-3 to Ajax, drew with Rennes. Remy plays there, at least one French international, Renate Sanches. it’s all very well saying must win but I don’t think it will be easy. frank has zero experience in managing these kind iof away games im looking forward to the game which I think we can win, although I haven’t seen Lille this season.

September 30, 20196 yr Win is not a must but draw is absolute minimum. They feel the same way. They also lost the first game.We can win but it will be tough.
September 30, 20196 yr If everyone is fit I'd go with; Kepa Azpi - Zouma - Rudiger - Alonso Kante - Jorginho - Kovacic Willian - Giroud - Pedro
September 30, 20196 yr A @ChampionsLeague trip to France next! [emoji109]#LOSCCHE https://t.co/zayDoFD0rbPedro: You think I am starting, think again.[emoji16]
September 30, 20196 yr The backlin pick itself, although would like nice if Lampard takes a chance with Reece James, although unlikely. If Kanite is fit, it's Jorginho and Mount beside him. I'd like to see a bit more aggression in the final third, would go Abraham, Willian and Pulisic. We need to win this game, can't mess around or taking too many chances with selection.

Bit of a press the reset button and pick all the ageing bit part journey men we’ve often relied on? We’re not even close to wining the thing no matter who we pick, so why drop the young players who are performing so well? Or was this an attempt at a humorous selection or just a wind up selection? If so, why not Willy in goal?

The selection wasn't meant to be a slight on the youth prospects - more a case if the senior players don't perform they can't expect to play - and I've seen too many youth prospects fall by the way side because they're being flogged to death. Mount will need a rest at some point, Tammy missed a few chances at the weekend and Giroud scored for fun in the Europa League last season. Maybe Reece James for Azpi who played at the weekend.

Fair enough and good reasoning.
September 30, 20196 yr Hopefully we see a fit Kante for the remainder of the season. Necessarily this isn't a must-win match, but in reality, it is a must-win match if we want to progress to the knockout stages. With CHO and Reece making their first team debuts last week, hopefully we start to see the real Chelsea the more we go into the CL campaign and we are able to regain our footing and win the group. 1 match in, not all is lost however need a win in France!
October 1, 20196 yr Can't wait for this one. I just find myself so excited for our games this season. Hopefully our boys can deliver!

Same here, watching the games last season was so frustrating, especially after December, some of the worst football I've witnessed at the club and I remember some of the grindy Jose games. This season is far more entertaining, I just cannot wait to watch us play, win or lose.
October 1, 20196 yr Must win game for us. ------------ Kepa ----------- Azpilicueta - Christensen - Tomori - Alonso -------- Jorginho ---- Kante ----- Hudson-Odoi -- Willian --- Mount ----------- Abraham --------- That's what I'd like to see in our starting lineup tomorrow. I really hope we will come hungry and in a beast mood, we need this game, we have to keep going in this competition as far as we can. COME ON CHELS!!!!
October 1, 20196 yr I don't like to use the 'must win game' sentiment this term. We are not a team that can thrive with that pressure. Hope we play well.

October 2, 20196 yr Giroud's injury status? Batshuayi up front with another stiker (Giroud/Abraham). CHO/Pedro/Pulisic in CAM position, Kante in CM. Formation: 4-3-1-2. Punch them with two strikers up the middle, no messing around with wingers this time.
