Erling Haaland
They'll be chasing BM nevertheless. That's exactly where the problem lies though. How do you replace Sancho and keep the pressure on Bayern? How do you replace Haaland? They're a selling club alright, but they do try to keep competitive, even when their players start requesting moves to Bayern. It's tough to be on their shoes because it doesn't matter what they do, they'll always be overpowered. Unless they do go for a totally different approach which got them on this new found stability. Definitely easier, no question. But they also don't usually have the best players available on their prime because they usually ask for a move, so instead they have to rely on Bats to get them through the whole season, imagine that. I did get my info wrong though, so my bad, because they've missed CL on Klopp's last season there when they'd imploded. Still this kinda proves my point that even when they have setbacks, it won't ruin their business model so they can afford to gamble on sticking up with Haaland and missing out on 70m next year if they believe he'll bring general interest to the club and still lead them to another year of qualifying for CL and possibly challenging for the title. For every penny they missed on Sancho this year instead of selling him last season, they probably got it back with his goals, assists, marketing that put them on next season's CL. (And they still got 80m, which is not "cheap" at all). Anyway, I do want Haaland, just don't think Dortmund will bend over to us nor think they actually should.

Erling Haaland
Honestly, if 200 million could turn a team into a contender that easily we would have been champions on Conte's 2nd season and we all know how that turned out. It's not that easy to spend such a large sum, especially if you're the "Bundesliga Arsenal" so why would good players go play there? Someone already said it here, but this is Dortmund's best chance to pip Bayern to the title in years. Yes, they struggled last year, but they've got a new manager now and instead of selling Haaland and then trying to find someone new to HOPEFULLY come up with the goods, why not stick up with the proven one? If we're the ones doing that we'd be fuming at how our board doesn't care about football and only about money. People are acting like Dortmund are desperate for money, but they aren't. They trust their project and it's proven to be both solid on and off the field, and a few bumps on the road haven't got them off the track, plus they've qualified for the CL every single year since the last decade, a feat even us didn't manage to match.

Random Rumours
Probably just a rumour due to the Euros anyway, but Chiesa isn't just hype though. He's Juve most threatening player alongside Ronaldo and was already a menace at Fiorentina so definitely not a one season wonder (he doesn't even have the excuse of best team in Italy as Juventus were a mess with Pirlo), plus he had good numbers in the league and CL as well. Definitely one of the most interesting u23 players around. To me, hype would be getting Schick who is technical sound but doesn't produce consistently or Damsgaard who had a great competition but is still a major question mark (and we still have CHO with the same set of skills, just needs to find his stride)

Euro 2020 (played in 2021)
I've really liked what I saw from Ukraine, which coincidentally or not was the only side I managed to watch all games. They weren't brilliant or anything like that, but they did manage to reach their first knockout stage and topped it out by going to the quarters. Up until that 2nd half against England they were always a threat and provided some really entertaining games all around. Hoping they can take it from there and do some damage on the WC if they qualify. Also props for Hungary who provided stern opposition in the Death Group.

Callum Hudson-Odoi
I'm actually happy that CHO decided to represent Ghana. I can see why that's frustrating for some, but I see it as someone who's proud of his heritage (he did visit Ghana this off-season for the 1st time in a decade) and is taking the hard route towards international glory. I was always worried that he was just a front runner but to me this can also be seen as him taking full responsibility on improving Ghanaian football and the community as a whole. If that's his reason, then we should all be happy. I was also reading his end of term report on the 5th stand app, TT played him on 13 out of 19 games in the PL so he's obviously someone Tuchel trusts (albeit more for the supersub role), otherwise he would just be rotting on the bench like Tammy. I think Reece establishing himself at RCB can make Callum's minutes increase at RWB and if he's finally fully fit then we can have something pretty good going on that right side. I expect him to stay for another year and then we'll finally have to make a definitive decision on him.

Fake news, that is last season's kit!

Jorginho is.... (well now was) a Blue
When do you NOT want them to do that though? 😅

Jorginho is.... (well now was) a Blue
I really think Jorginho should start mixing up his penalties, go for the hop for 2 or 3 in a row, then the next one just keep it simple like he did once this last season after he had missed a few, that would make the keeper second guessing every single time because they'd never know if he's going to jump or not.

Euro 2020 (played in 2021)
I'm thorn... On one hand I'm always cheering for the underdog on tournaments like that so would like England to finally win it all. On the other... Can you just imagine the Jorginho thread after Italy win the thing? It would be a marvellous sight indeed. So what I really want is a 4-3 win, with Sterling sent off for diving, Kane missing sitter after sitter, Grealish getting banned for not using his socks right and Mount assisting & scoring himself the 4 goals and thus becoming the new national hero. Jorginho with the perfect hat-trick. Yeah, that would be my wish. Please, football gods!

Olivier Giroud to Chelsea
That should cover at least some staff annual wages, so it wasn't for nothing. Maybe even a big party/bonus for them after this hard period. We were always letting him go anyway, so to get a fee is just a feel good factor. Btw, does anyone know if spotrac info on player's salaries is reliable? Just saw there that Malang Sarr is like one of the best paid defenders in the club. And thanks for the amazing service, Oli! I reckon he will be coming back in the future, whether as a coach or some sort of embassador (pretty hair that makes player better like Kepa's)

Random Rumours
I'm thorn... On one hand I reaaaaally want to help them and get Pedri, De Jong, Fati off their books, on the other I just wish no club come close to their fringe players and get them completely ruined whether that means lots of points deduction or financial struggles. Més que un club... Go figure 😏

Jorginho is.... (well now was) a Blue
Gonna need you on this one, Mr. Munklock! If @Gol15 is indeed Jorgi boy, then who would @just be? Bakayoko trying to undermine him and regain his position? A fully fit Drinkwater trying to make his best pal Kante notice him again? 😅 So many mysteries around Jorginho, no wonder he's so debatable!

Andreas Christensen
Kjaer stole all the headlines on leadership with the Erikssen incident, but he's certainly no slouch either. I'd say he's finally fulfilled the potential that supposedly made Juventus and the Manchester clubs go for him way back when he was at Palermo. He is easily one of the best defenders in Serie A, and is definitely Milan's best. The only thing going against him is pace, but while he's not exactly on the same level as Thiago Silva it's all about reading the game and positioning (+ the leadership).

Euro 2020 (played in 2021)
Damn, this would have been brilliant had they only changed the H. They overdid it though... Such a shame.

Jorginho is.... (well now was) a Blue
Can they split the Ballon d'Or in 4 to give it to Jorginho and the Kante triplets?

I believe he's saved around 15 from 45 he's ever faced. I don't like him, but that's a good mark

Euro 2020 (played in 2021)
Belotti and Berardi are making Italy look like they're at least one man down, zero pace and all the wrong decisions/execution.

Euro 2020 (played in 2021)
Dollarumma is so bad at claiming crosses for a keeper with his height... One of the reasons I really didn't want him here to replace our beloved Mendy. Either doesn't show any confidence or is overconfident and goes for it all wrongly...

He probably did too, that's why he scored
