Chelsea v Leicester (PL) Tues 18th May 2021 20:15 GMT
Btw, on the subject of that Amartey prick throwing our emblem away, maybe I've missed, but shouldn't the F.A. be fining the player due to a blatant disrespect towards another club and/or football's protocol? I mean, why bother exchanging flags before the game if somebody is just going to wipe his ass with it? I don't know, maybe players do that all the time and I'm being too sensitive, but I'd be really disappointed if one of our players showed that amount of disrespect towards an opponent, especially as it was totally unwarranted since there wasn't any bad blood during the game or a long standing rivalry between the teams/fans. Am I wrong here?

Jorginho is.... (well now was) a Blue
At this point I despise anyone who's ever associated with Amartey on any level, so I'd say keep him far away from this club! Nothing irks me more than bench warmers pricks. But if I'm being reasonable he's a good player, just don't see him being to answer to our prayers. Seems to be a little bit reckless on his tackles to my liking, iirc he's also the player with most fouls in the PL (maybe this year... something along those lines was mentioned during the FA game)

With all the handball rules changing every fortnight, he may be thinking that something's changed about offsides, the poor lad. I love him though.

Are we back to being optimistic now? 😅

Harry Kane.
Timo and Kane has all the potential to be just as good as Kane & Son, so that would be really interesting to see. We should definitely go for it, but just can't get caught in the midst of a transfer saga that ruins our entire summer by delaying other potential targets. I just can't see Levy dealing him to us, even if we're the last one in Earth with money + Kane probably wouldn't want to ruin his good national boy image by joining his rivals, would he?

2021/2022 Lineup?
There is no good looking upcoming striker that I can recall atm... Oli was the last of his breed 🥺

Best general football website?
Besides visiting the Shed for a good banter, do you guys usually access other sites to get some info on Chelsea or other teams/leagues? I usually go to Goal if I want some quick random info, but honestly I only ever glance at the headlines because I feel most of the articles are just obnoxious. Granted it was one of their articles that pissed me off so badly to start this thread. *Start rant* The headline was about how Ferran Torres had eclipsed a Messi record, and so there was young naive me clicking on it just to read "[...] became the youngest player to score a league hat-trick for a Pep Guardiola side.” I mean, for f*** sake, is that a record now? Being the youngest/oldest to score for a manager? What a load of bollocks! *End of rant* Anyway... if you do have a reliable source of news, with some interesting articles whatsoever, I'd love to hear about it and maybe we can all discover something new! (Is that allowed over here? I hope I'm not breaking any rules about link sharing or anything like that.)

Malang Sarr
Has anyone been following this guy closely? I only managed to see bits of him against Juventus so can't make a judgement at all. With Tomori as good as gone and Kurt not fitting in as a ball playing defender, I wonder if he can step up and learn from Thiago next season while deputising for Rudiger in that left CB spot. Edit: If it were up to me, I wouldn't loan any defender next season, just so they can stay next to Thiago and learn just about everything there is about defending. Get him to hang out with the u18 on the days off, he'll feel at home!

Jadon Sancho
I believe we have plenty of Sanchos actually, Puli, Mount, Havertz, Ziyech can all create a little bit of magic out of nowhere when in form. I'm not against getting Sancho (if only to make our squad even better), but what we don't have is a Haaland outmuscling and outrunning defenders, hitting the ball with both feet (literally) and scoring anyway. Confidence is truly a mysterious thing. Like always our striker conundrum would be solved instantly if only Alonso had the pace for it, now that'd be fearsome. I'm fairly confident that Timo & Kai will come good with the goals next season, and hopefully our fans in the stadiums will get the best out of them every single game.

The Final Four
To be honest, after this week results there's too much doom and gloom in the air as if Liverpool were undefeated the whole season and didn't just draw with Newcastle a game before. Yes, they may win all their remaining games (and so do we, who would've thought?), but they're 5th atm for a reason, and that's results against bottom feeder, very similar to ourselves with TT actually. Now I won't jinx us predicting anything, it's the final countdown and just about everything could happen in the next few weeks, but I'm excited as hell for this ending of the season! It could end in major success or a major letdown and thus we proceed to another crazy transfer window and revaluate the squad according to these last results... anyway... Let's go Chelsea!

Director: Now Ziyech, let's see some of that new kit... Hakim: 🤨 But do I really have to?

No Credit
If you think hard about it, we did win this game for Arsenal since they weren't going to do it by themselves. Credit where is due!

Victor Moses
Football is a funny little thing isn't it? Basically, whenever Moses stayed within our ranks we won a title. 😳

They're all probably thinking "Damn, we could've been playing against that amazing blue team from London every single year, but now the dream is over... Curse you fans of football!"

Timo Werner
By that point he'll be using the posts to assist himself. He's THAT good 😎
-
Kai Havertz
You mean "silKai"...? 😏 ... ... ... 😐 Okay, I'm leaving now. 😳

Chelsea v Real Madrid (CL Semi-Final 2nd leg) Wed 5th May 2021 20:00 GMT
I just love the smirk "You know I got your number, Pep" on Tommy's face. Leaving aside the trolls, can we start talking about how that fugly "3" logo is ruining all those lovely pics? 🥺 Or should we consider it as a lucky omen by now?

Timo Werner
Yeah and don't forget that lay off midair pass to Mason around the 60th min mark. That was awesome as well and should've ended with a goal. Edit: Gotta hate the media, here in Brazil ESPN's headline for Timo's words post game is "Werner takes aim at Lampard: We had few chances and now we're in the CL final". He didn't even mention Frank, and all he talked about was how the season was up and down, up and down so he didn't really expect to be in 2 finals. Is it always that bad in England (or whichever country you're from) as well?
-
Kai Havertz
While his talent is undeniable, today I'm most thrilled about his fiery attitude, fighting Doritos, challenging players in the air just about everywhere on the field. He could miss every single shot (he did anyway) and still be player of the match due to his energy alone. Let's keep the blood flowing kiddo! 🔥

Christian Pulisic - Official
I don't think Tuchel sees it as a problem, quite the contrary. Just like City's quadruple's quest, I believe this team as it is can finally start working towards it, which is kinda funny considering our last few seasons without coming close to challenge for the PL title. Having all those quality players available, sometimes from the get go, sometimes from the bench will be of the utmost importance. Maybe if they all had started tonight's match we could all be talking about how Eden & Benzema tore our 2 defenders apart and our subs didn't have the quality to change the game. If we do stick with 3 at the back, there will be plenty of chances for all those players and for TT it will be about finding the right mismatches along the season. As long as they believe in the project and we're competing in every front, we shouldn't be worried about losing anyone of importance due to not starting enough games. We may lose some Tammys or Alonsos along the way, but that's only natural, just like City lost Sancho and will lose Garcia. Hopefully we just get the balance right between major signings and upcoming talent from academy in what's already a pretty young side. Really excited with that potential TT's dinasty taking over Guardiola's City. Just hope our guys feel the same.

To be fair, who doesn't get the Bale treatment over there? I honestly don't get player's wish to be part of that whole Galactico farse. I hate Barca but being a Madrid player just seems like a major pain in the ass.

He truly is Kovacic's other half.
