ILCAML reacted to cfcforeverfan in Super Frank LampardTheir last season point tally is unsustainable stop trying to use this as an excuse and ask stupid question like 'oh why Klopp doing so much worse last season and no one question', because winning 26 games out of 27 is just absurd and no one should be expected to replicate this.
Liverpool has both of their CB injured and have to midfielder in CB, they may not have more injury numbers than others but the impact is too focused in one area which makes them weaker than last season.
If most of the 200m players dont have the ' basic skill of a footballer and could actually hit a cow's arse with a banjo' as you said, then the manager who strongly recommend the club to buy them has to take majority of responsibility isnt it? There are numerous report that Lampard pushed for Havertz so hard and involved in the Werner and Chilwell transfer, so he has to take the blame too
-
ILCAML reacted to cfcforeverfan in Super Frank LampardI really dislike people who intentionally ignore the context...Liverpool had a million injury and their last season form is unsustainable
we added 200m+ worth of talent and played worse

ILCAML reacted to cfcforeverfan in Super Frank Lampardcan we not lower our expectation to the level of Arsenal? I feel ashamed just to think like an Arsenal fan

ILCAML reacted to bisright1 in Super Frank LampardSarri integrated the academy. RLC and CHO developed into first team players under his watch. lampard played Mount because he knew him and integrated Tammy because he had to. Reece James would have been in every managers team in the world.
It just happens to be that no one from the academy was good enough before Sarri. Not one academy player has been world class for another team.
Lampard isn't even that good at integrating the academy! Look at how many academy players have played this year? Billy is overlooked for Jorginho, Tomori has been binned off, no one else has had a look in who wasn't already part of the team he had to play last year. We played an incredibly strong team against Morecombe. Maybe we should revisit this view of him.

ILCAML reacted to Argo in Super Frank Lampardi thought surely Pirlo bombing with Juventus has put pay to this "even me, Shannon from Sc**thorpe and her dog could win with (name elite EU team here)"
-
ILCAML reacted to Slojo in Super Frank LampardHe won 3 Champions League's back to back.... And Barcelona usually win the league there, Zidane has won it twice with Madrid and numerous other trophies while being there.
If he can't get credit for that, what can he get credit for...

ILCAML reacted to Slojo in Super Frank LampardOkay then, come back to me the end of the season and let's see how good Ole does and how he wins f**k all.
We spent over 200 million on players, we have to be doing better, that's a fact. You're delusional if you think this is okay. The more we wait the more time we waste and hinder the development of the players and the club. It's not the end of the world if we go on without Frank Lampard, there are far better managers out there, and before you start asking me silly questions with "who?", how about anyone that's had more than 2 years experience and has actually won a trophy in their managerial career.
So here we go, you're making excuses for the Fulham performance, it's the managers job to get the players playing well. Simple as that, if he can't do that, then he can't do his job.
-
ILCAML reacted to Slojo in Super Frank LampardIt might seem that way now, but Ole is not a good example. United will win f**k all under Ole, most United fans know he's out of his depth and their riding a lot of luck. Mark my words, United will collapse and they can keep continuing this merry-go-round with Ole for as long as they want, the longer the better if you ask me.
Also, for one, Ole has a lot more experience than Lampard does, he's been in the job for over 10 years, Lampard is still very much a rookie. We've seen no evidence Lampard has what it takes as manager to win things at this club, he has nothing to fall back on and say, "Trust in me, I did x". For all we know, we would be putting all our eggs in one basket for the worst manager we've had at the club. He's definitely our most inexperienced, why should we do that?
You can't keep making excuses with fitness and injuries when other teams are suffering the same and are performing better. Go watch that Fulham game, and tell me the major difference 10 men made. Fulham played Spurs midweek and they were faster than us for 90 minutes, what's going on? The fact that we are a very lethargic team that has little to no intensity is not down to fitness.
-
ILCAML reacted to bisright1 in Super Frank LampardHe's been giving the senior players time recently because he thinks the issue is that the players aren't vocal or experienced enough. Rudiger has played for no reason that makes any sense in this day and age.
He's under pressure and he's making bad decisions. The players don't know what they are supposed to do.
Staying the whole year and leaving I think risks us becoming a laughing stock and hurting the careers of this generation of players

ILCAML reacted to chi blue in Super Frank LampardWe need to stick with Frank for the season, at present top 4 looks beyond us, but not the end of the world, what do we want, one our own whose hurting like us, and will always have the club and our best interests at heart, or some foreign mercenary, who will jump soon as a bigger club comes along, we could go back in time to Sarri (no thanks), Conte a great first season, but second season showed what he really was, Jose, not that embarrassing soap opera again, Rafa?, AVB, Big Phil, performances not great but if we suddenly win 3 or 4 on bounce it’s game on again, onwards and upwards, I’m sure if the match going fans were in the ground they would be getting behind Frank, I just hope the armchair, Twitter following keyboard warrior Xbox fans don’t get their way before we get back in ground

ILCAML reacted to abramovich in Super Frank LampardWhere did this talk about the promise of two full seasons come from? Frank never said that, Roman doesn't do interviews. In fact, if I remember correctly, when Lampard was asked about communication with the owner he said that he does it through Marina. So Roman won't have to spoil a relationship with Frank because there isn't one. I'm sure he respects his accomplishments as one of the best players in the club history and he may even like his personality, who knows. But that has nothing to do with the decision of hiring or possibly sacking him.
Frank was hired to do a job and currently he's failing at it. Regardless of what Chelsea fans feel about Lamps and his connection with the club the owner is going to do what he feels is the best move under the circumstances, and emotions don't come into it.
-
ILCAML reacted to Blueblur in Super Frank LampardWe have become a bunch of demanding, spoiled fans. It sickens me to think that just because we might not qualify for the CL or win a trophy this season that means the manager has to go.
Frank has to be given time. If Roman does pull the trigger, I for one will be done with this club.
-
ILCAML reacted to Slojo in Super Frank LampardI made up my mind at the end of last month, but this month is just confirming everything I said. This isn't going to get better, nip it in the bud now before it gets worse. Get an interim in and we might be able to salvage this season. But stick with Frank until the end and we are looking at a bottom half of the table finish easily. It's just not good enough, too many excuses and not enough quality to be shown on the pitch.
You can boil it down to fitness, lack of quality or whatever else you want to throw, Fulham played Spurs midweek and looked sharper than we did despite having 10 men. This just isn't good enough, he needs to go.
-
ILCAML reacted to loz in Super Frank LampardIt's surely time to bite the bullet. This season has finishing below Leeds written all over it as things currently stand.
Yes Lampard isn't alone in the blame for what we have deteriorated to. It's hard to identify a single player who shouldn't carry some of the blame but ultimately you don't sack players.
It's been too many consecutive terrible performances in a row now and there isn't the remotest indication that there is improvement on the horizon or even a sense of trying to change. It is Arlene Wenger esque in terms of assuming the plan will eventually work of you stick with it long enough.
Let Frank go now. Tonight showed why we have to. Leicester won in second gear. From the moment they went ahead they never looked liked being clawed back and played like a team confident that their opposition didn't believe they could recover. We just made up the numbers.
-
ILCAML reacted to RickUK in Super Frank LampardWhy do peope on social media get such a hard time for simply having the opinion that Frank is not the right man for the job. And let's be honest, if it was Grant on this run and not Lampard, there'd be many more "sack" calls.
Seen it all over my Twitter feed. Embarrassing seeing people proclaim to be a better fan, or bigger fan than someone, simply because they dont like said persons opinion on Lampard
Get a life, ffs
-
ILCAML reacted to reparto corse in Super Frank LampardSacking Lampard and getting in someone who is able to set up the team and properly manage the players is the only way we might have a chance for a top 4 finish this season. It just has to be done at this point.
-
ILCAML reacted to Slojo in Super Frank LampardHow long are we going to keep hearing this though?
Fulham played against Spurs during the week and a Cup game last weekend same as us. And they looked fresher than us for most of that game, every time Pulisic had the ball they were immediately on to him, we just looked lethargic and slow.
Something is not quite right in this side at the moment. We've had more time to prepare against Fulham and did we really look better off? They had 10 men and looked very comfortable for about 30 minutes. Let's not sugar-coat it, this was piss poor, absolutely piss poor, delighted with the 3 points don't get me wrong but I can't let that paper over the cracks, this team is in trouble.
It's going to take a miracle for us to turn this around I think, we are devoid of ideas, I'm dreading the Atletico game. This is why I'm not against the idea of sacking Lampard now and getting an interim manager in to salvage the season and see if we can get something out of it, because with the way things are going now I can see this being nothing but a waste of 5 months. And with Lampard’s resume as a manager, I don't see the evidence that he's got what it takes to turn this around, motivate the players or come out of nowhere with a Plan B that will galvanize the players into a strong position or trophy.

ILCAML reacted to KonaKai Blue in Super Frank LampardWe spent £200m because Roman wants us to Challenge for the top honours, plain and simple. That is the standard set since he arrived. And to be fair we still managed to make Kovacic move permanent and had a new player in Pulisic. Imagine if the rules were so strict that we couldn't do that.
Regardless, there are only 3 or 4 clubs capable of spending such money in a window (transfer ban or not) and luckily we are one of them thanks to a great business model and ambitious owner.
With regards to our signings, yes if they performed to how we all hoped and expected, we would be challenging for the league 100% as Pool have dropped off from last season.
But for one reason or another which includes Frank not getting the best out of them, they aren't doing the business and our star studded team are worse off than last season.
-
ILCAML reacted to KonaKai Blue in Super Frank LampardI'm all for giving Frank time and it's not like I'm demanding he win the title or at least put up a challenge (which Ole is doing). But the fact is we didn't spend £200m to miss out on top 4 and fight for position with mid table clubs who don't have a fraction of our budget. I just can't see how anyone can think we will be successful under Frank in the coming years if we end up going backwards on a year where we had none. Just think of the excuses we would be making for Frank if we spent £20m in the summer, whilst sitting in the same position we are now. It would be "the board didnt back Frank and improve the squad".
-
ILCAML reacted to Argo in Super Frank LampardWhy does everyone act like it's a bad thing? 2 of our last 3 PL title's plus our sole CL have come from being sharp to sack a manager (one of which being our greatest ever against the wish of 99% of the fanbase) when it wasn't working, now compare that to a certain team in North London rich in managerial stability.
Now don't get me wrong i'd love it if we find a long term manager and i'd love it even more to be Lamps (whether that's from turning this around or returning as a more polished manager at a later date) but until we do, Roman's methods >>>>>>>>>>>>>> the Arsenal model.
-
ILCAML reacted to KonaKai Blue in Super Frank LampardHow much more will people use this no pre-seaaon excuse? Pre season is about 4-6 games. We are deep into the season now. Just because we played only one game and a few games behind closed doors, it doesn't give us an excuse to falter as bad as we have.
-
ILCAML reacted to RickUK in Super Frank LampardFor the people thinking there is no truth in his job being at risk? Do you remember who our owner is, he does not make decisions based on sentiment. Liam Twomey and Simon Johnson do have sources at the club. So I would have caution to dismiss the report that quick. We are 3 points off Spurs yes, and also 3 pts off 12th. Too many people, and i myself may be included, are judging Lampard because of their affection for him as a player and his club legend status. You have to ignore that and focus solely on him as a manager - He seems out of ideas and has no clue what to do. Jody Morris is useless aswell
We all want him to turn it around, and stay here as long as he wants, but the job does seem too big for him. And i can guarantee if this was Scolari, AVB, Sarri, or Avram Grant etc , EVERYONE would have the knives out wanting them sacked. And dont deny it
-
ILCAML reacted to Slojo in Super Frank LampardI've pretty much already said it after the game, but my verdict on it right now. Time to go.
I see no evidence that Frank can turn this around and I can only see it getting worse. We should jump ship now while we can still salvage a good season. And if by some miracle he turns this around and we get some good results, I don't trust in his managerial ability that the exact same thing isn't going to happen again in the following season. Do I think he's the only problem? No. He's no doubt had it very hard compared to a lot of other managers and football is currently in a very strange climate. But it's no excuse to be playing so badly for well over a month now. On paper we have a very good team with quality players, but they're not being utilised effectively.
If you're sick of sacking managers and want something different, okay, I raise you this. Why Frank? Just forget about who he is for a minute, the player, why do we put all our eggs in one basket for a man who has won nothing, and started his managerial career just over 2 years ago? City and Liverpool both brought in top managers for the long term and gave them big contracts because Klopp and Pep can provide evidence in their CV's that they know how to build title winning teams. Frank doesn't have any of that. He doesn't deserve that luxury of time when he has no evidence that as a manager that he can turn this around and get this group of players winning things. On paper, Frank is the most unqualified manager we've had under Abramovich.
It isn't just results, it's about the dire football situation and how badly these players are underperforming. There appears to be no identity or way of going forward from here. It all looked good before the Leeds game, no doubt about it. But it's a bit of a coincidence that as soon as we started playing teams in the top 10, winning games became impossible. What's that now? 1 win in the last 8 games? Yikes. Overall, as a unit, I see little to no improvement from last season despite spending over 200 million on players and bringing top profile targets. Defending is better for sure, but what happened to the attack? If it's not one problem then it's another.
So, I say, nip it in the bud before it gets any worse, this current situation isn't helping anyone. I think currently it's going to be difficult to get a high-profile manager right now, so I hope the club has a shortlist of candidates who can take the reins and salvage this season. It's happened plenty of times before and it's worked out well, all besides one time, Hiddink part two. But even then, we ended up winning the league the season after. People on here act as though if you want the manager gone, you're being hyperbolic and it's all doom and gloom, on the contrary, I think some of you act like it's all doom and gloom if we sack Lampard, and that's it, nothing can get better, we've reached a low point. When realistically, it could be the complete opposite.
Love him as a player, as a bloke, but as a manager, he's not cut out for it. I say it with my chest, I think it's time to go, the sooner the better.
-
ILCAML reacted to mm24 in Super Frank LampardI would imagine that smart, experienced manager would play whoever gets him the points. You all talk like all of those players need Frank to babysit them. Their situation is similar to Franks. They're Chelsea boys and I want them to succed, but at the end of the day they have to show that they deserve to be in a team that wants to fight for titles just as Frank needed to in his playing days when managers changed.
-
ILCAML reacted to Slojo in Super Frank LampardYou're not going to convince me this is the right man for the job, absolutely awful at everything today. Complete bottlejobs, can't turn up against any side with a bit of quality.
Just 3 points ahead of Arsenal now, should be falling into 8th place at any moment since Villa have 2 games in hand and higher goal difference. An absolute shambles this, he isn't going to see the rest of the season out.
