  1. I think he´s more like Emre Can or Naby Keita. His decision-making, mental processing of the game is just too slow for playing in the middle of the park in the Premier League. He simply carries balls far too long, when he should move it along quicker. He´s not good enough of a dribbler either, so it will often result in turnovers.
  2. LOL. It was clear and obvious. It was an outrageous decision. There is no point argung this any further. If you want to believe the earth is flat, you are entitled to your opinion, but don´t project any feelings onto the game I do not have.
  3. Why should I forget it. Mabye the next time such a horrendous decision stands in a game that matters to us. Thomas Tuchel might have gotten his line-up wrong, that doesn´t justify the VAR ref to be utter sh*t at his job.
  4. Look at it this way. There is no way Rudiger goes to Arsenal, small chance he goes to United for big money, but less chance he wants to play Europa Conference League.
  5. This result won´t change a thing in the end, but VAR disgusts me. PL referees are the biggest dumbf**ks on the planet. I´m sorry. How in the f**king world can this decision stands, when it is OBVIOUS that Saka is holding Azpi´s arm. Unbelievable.
  6. With all his finger pointing I wonder whether we could sell United on Lukaku becoming their director of football.
  7. About the first 45 minutes. There are always these stupid moments, when fans say I could have played like that. This might be the first time it is true. If Liverpool played the whole first 45 minutes with a "we are a goal down and need to score mentality", it would have been 6 or 7. I was calling medical services at HT to alert them of an pending emergency, cause usually the first 45 are United´s good half and judging by that curve, the only way to go for them in the 2nd half was to literally drop dead on the pitch.
  8. Honestly I´m a bit worried Rangnick could sort them out, if the board allows it. I´m legitimately worried Rangnick played possum as an interim manager the last six months, acting weak and allowing the players to hang themselves. I think they could can 10-12 players this summer alone. Of course I hope I´m totally wrong and the board still value likes and jerseys over a cohesive football end product. United need more of McGuire and Pogba.
  9. I recognize how skilled Diaz is. I doubt you know how skilled Werner is. That´s why I threw some stats in your face. Werner has played 1820 minutes this season, which translates to 20 games, which means he contributes 0.8 G/A per 90 minutes. This season Mane is at 0.58. Jota is at 0.78. Diaz is at 0.23. Salah is at 1.05. If I had thrown the raw numbers at you, most would have guessed. Salah 1.05 Jota 0.80 Mane 0.78 Diaz 0.58 Werner 0.23 Due to media bias and stupid punditry most fans simply don´t recognize what Werner actually brings to any/this Chelsea team. I think opposing coaches are plenty concerned, when they play against Werner - Havertz - Mount, cause all three work their socks off pressing, tracking back and still make relentless runs offensively, which means they´ll make every top team uncomfortable for 90 minutes. You can never rest on/off the ball as the opposing team. That´s before we get into the argument of changing countries and leagues during and with COVID disrupted seasons that were anything but normal.
  10. 2021/2022 Diaz: 17 games 3 goals 1 assist for Liverpool Werner: 32 games 10 goals 6 assists for Chelsea
  11. I can´t say it´s not hilarious. These 4th place merchants had the audacity to put 3rd place in their mouth like they are on Chelsea´s level or anywhere near it. Haven´t won a game since, not sure they even earned a point.
  12. Seriously though there was a scene in the first game after about five minutes, where Havertz pressed Courtois, Mount closed down the left outlet and instead of attacking the right outlet player, Pulisic lazily backed off and Madrid easily played through the press. This simply does not happen with Werner. Werner is just a relentless animal. The system simply does not work as well without Werner. Maybe you go and find a better Werner like Liverpool eventually replaced aging Firmino with Jota, but the equivalent of what Chelsea did with Lukaku, would be Klopp buying back Benteke. 🤣
  13. What would such a team look like? FC Chelsea E. Mendy - Azpilicueta, Thiago Silva, Rüdiger - James, Kanté, Jorginho, Chilwell, Havertz, Mount - Werner What would it achieve? 😉
  14. I think he has a totally different season, probably similar to Havertz, if management simply left his position alone, instead of buying the big oaf. That hurt Werner´s confidence even more, although he just started every knockout game for the CL winners.
  15. It´s probably that Rudiger had never seen Toni Kroos press anybody successfully. In the wild you have a better chance to see the Yeti bang Santa Claus. It´s not even the giving the ball away. You also have to play the scoreline. At 0-0 that is acceptable, up 3-0 against a dead team, it´s a bad decision. Send the ball long and hard toward the sideline and Havertz is in foot race in the other direction that either ends with a throw-in, a pass back to the goalie or even better things.
  16. Marcelo is 400 years old. It says more about our bench, that you consider them impact subs. Saul can just stay in Madrid. He was so bad, I was missing the big oaf.
  17. Didn´t exactly put any pressure on Modric either, when he gave the ball away for their first goal. He reacts faster he can at least make Modric rush the pass. Also not sure WTF Alonso was doing for the goal. He went away from Rodrygo like there was some phantom runner behind. Thiago imho could also have stretched out his leg, just to make the finish more difficult, even if he doesn´t touch the ball. In a funny way Chelsea showed their inexperience in this tie. Never in a hundred years should they have lost this tie.
  18. Yeah, so unprofessional. Madrid were DEAD. An old-ass beaten team and he revived them all by himself, giving the ball away cheaply and not tracking back. Not a chance in hell Madrid create anything from open play after 80 minutes on dead legs, if the defense is set-up behind the ball. Madrid are an old weak team that somehow stole two knockout rounds. Knowing what a moron Pep becomes in the later stages of the Champions League, they´ll probably get by another round. Also bad decision to take off Werner. 3-0 with him in the tie, 1-5 without him. Add last year and you know... People need to recognize that it´s Werner - Havertz - Mount that make this team click. You take one out and replace them with Origi or Donovan it all falls apart.
  19. Tuchel had to manage through terror attacks, nuclear dressing rooms and wars, so United probably figured he needs an even bigger challenge. Bringing the dinosaurs back to life.
  20. So? Free transfers aren´t cheap either. Just because Mbappe doesn´t cost a fee, we still have to pay his massivs wages.😎
  21. Gol15 is having a Beer15 level performance in this thread. 😉
  22. Btw this was the Champions League winning performance level from last season and without James and Chilwell. It´s amazing. 120 metres long, 60 metres wide, 11 vs. 11 and one single player can make everything fall apart.
  23. Yeah if Mane knew that Mendy was this good, he´d have chipped it across his body. Luckily they are not that very familiar with each other. #
