  1. What happened here is the downside of the Roman ownership. Liverpool/City have a much more cerebral patient approach. How often have we heard Liverpool needs this or City needs that from fans, experts and the press. They don´t care. The whole summer we heard: if City/Chelsea added a goalscorer they´d be unbeatable. Well who is looking unbeatable now? Chelsea are a lot more impatient and reactive like United. Only Chelsea are generally very smart about it with a great academy, while United are retarded. That´s why Liverpool and City probably saved their money for an all-out assault on Mbappe/Haaland next summer, while Chelsea overpaid out of their a** for Lukaku and United did the same for Ronaldo. I don´t know whether Tuchel pushed for Lukaku, but I´m sure he has already realized it was a huge mistake and will be more than happy to oblige and punish Lukaku on the way out of the door. In a way Lukaku wins, too. He got his huge wages and probably returns to Italy.
  2. Given how much the team has suffered with injuries and fatigue in midfield/backline, I´m not sure I want a passenger up front against a team that will bring the heat like Liverpool. On workrate alone I´d prefer others over Lukaku. Not like he´ll muscle VVD/Matip/Konate. They´d have to use him more on the left to have a go at TAA. Does that mean he tracks back TAA´s runs?
  3. You might look at this game and think that English refs are confused, but nobody is rooting harder for Newcastle to get relegate. Otherwise they´ll have to pick between Penalty for Pep or Death Penalty.
  4. Maybe it´s also about having realistic expectations and just looking at the big picture a little. The team won the Champions League just six months ago. What really happened anyway? Team is on pace for 82 points in the league, a top 4 finish virtually guaranteed and still going in all cup competitions and won a trophy this season so far. United haven´t won any title since 2017. Arsenal didn´t have a 82 point season since 2007/2008. Now everybody is talking about a major crisis throwing everybody under the bus from the coach to the players. Maybe have a little faith in the players and the coach. Maybe it is just what it is. An insane amount of injuries, combined with COVID cases, lots of fatigue due to a loaded fixture list and some bad luck with some flukish goals. Was Liverpool having a Klopp meltdown, when their season went to sh*t through COVID and injuries last year? Maybe they won´t win the league, cause Pep Guardiola is an OCD coach, that is almost unbeatable in a league competition, if he has the most money. His tactics and personal nature combined with the most money are very conductive to beating up on smaller teams, which is the key to winning league titles. I think he has won the league title in three different countries, overall 10 of 13 in all his years as a head coach. We have a great coach. We have a great young squad. We still have amazing talent coming through in Gallagher, Livramento (if you want him back), Gilmour and others. I know the fire/hire approach has been successful for Roman, but can we just let this season played out before we have another meltdown. Unless the meltdown leads to throwing 250M at Bellingham/Haaland, then I´m cool. 😉
  5. I really like to know how the Mount goal was disallowed, but the same contact on Pulisic is not a penalty. EPL rules are just f**king dumb. Also Welbeck scoring is just another freak goal to concede.
  6. If he plays CB as well, I´d give him a serious look. Truly impressive in all phases on the game and can likely deputize at LB in a 3-5-2 or maybe that´s even his primary position. He´s certainly better than Alonso.
  7. Exactly, plus he probably has a few other guys in there like Lukaku or Kovacic nowhere near 100% and others that have to be a bit knackered like Jorginho.
  8. Disappointed to learn that Brighton´s Coachella is a Sideshow Bob, not a Centralshow Bob. Really good modern player, but probably not interested to be a back-up for Chilwell.
  9. It´s the EPL tough guy act. The question is always the same: Do you want to insist doing some dumb sh*t over and over again or are you man enough admit that you were wrong? Let´s stick with dumb pride. That is the English way. Oh GOOOOOOOOOOAL.
  10. Or he´s trying to say to send a message: This is not Lukaku-Land, may I Haa-ve another striker.
  11. Kepa yelled "penalties mofo penalties those are the rules you stupid w**ker" at the poor Brentford player who scored the own goal. Luckily he spoke no Spanish.
  12. There can´t be a more delusional bunch of w**kers than United fans. Comparing their dirty penalty win to those of City, Liverpool and Chelsea. Yeah expect only one team got played off the pitch by the last placed team for 90 minutes and had their goalkeeper as MOTM.
  13. That was his version of the Firmino look-away finish. 🤪🤣Unbelievable.
  14. It´s not just the attack that is static with Lukaku. It´s also the defensive side, cause Havertz and Werner are the press maestros. The rest of the team follows their lead. Lukaku is lazy and it all breaks down.
  15. Wish they had hung on, but playing with 10 men the full second half was always going to be tough.
  16. Has to be said I can see the argument for both sides. Some teams like Norwich say they do not change their playing style and philosophy just because they play a team of far superior quality. Then there are teams like Burnley and United that play for the scoreless draw, maybe a set piece to nick a result. Both strategies are valid to avoid a relegation and if you have a little hot streak from your goalie or strikers, suddenly you are sniffing around the EuropaLeague spots.
  17. Even if United rolled over, I think it´s a stretch to call Watford our rivals.
  18. Simply not a good fit for the team. It´s hilarious how good Tuchel is at understanding how to pick a systen and form the best team from a given squad, even re-defining the role of some players, but he´s truly awful identifying players from the outside that would suit that same system. Between playing Lukaku, Mount, Werner, Havertz, Pulisic, CHO or Ziyech, I´d only have to think about Lukaku or Ziyech. Lukaku could be a useful super-sub, when teams sit deep and are getting tired, but he really should not start, even if his transfer fee kind of demands it. Should have just waited for Haaland.
  19. I don´t want to hear about tactics, line-ups and sh*t. The chances they created, any top flight player should have 6-7 goals. This was hilariously and sadly probably the most dominant display they had all season and that´s why they lacked concentration in front of goal. It was the same for Liverpool against Brighton. They were up 2-0 and Salah was alone in the box and he tried to flick the ball into the middle with the outside of his boot. He tried to embarrass them and laughed it off, when it failed. If that was 0-0, no way does he try some f****** like that. Today our players behaved the same way. They simply did not focus in front of goal, because it was too easy, until it wasn´t.
  20. Klopp/Tuchel can´t win against that dinosaur Dyche. They lack the killer instinct to put that bum away. Always wasting chance after chance and then concede the late equalizer. It´s literally the only plan Dyche has. Completely strange that they cannot figure him out. They are like 12 year boys fumbling around with a girls bra.
  21. Chelsea could win a game 28 to nothing and people here would complain about some player: Okay Mendy kept a clean sheet, but why didn´t he score. 🤔
  22. There is a Mavs game tonight. Show her The Unicorn Kristaps Porzingis and she´ll start to hate Unicorns. 🤣
