I'd be over the moon if we got 50m for him. Surely the first thing we'll do is throw 65-70m at Juve for Sandro.

So we have a 20 man squad at the moment (Costa is definitely going) and two of those squad members are back up keepers, meaning we have a grand total of 17 outfield players to choose from. It's simply not enough, especially with us being back in the Champions League. I'd be happy with three signings at this stage, though four or five would be nice. If we landed Sandro, Ox and a central midfielder (Sanches would be ideal, even on loan) that would ease my mind a bit. Getting in another striker and attacking midfielder would be a bonus.

That's a bargain in this day and age.

I might be a bit too negative, but we've been here before and not that long ago. I'm sure we were all confident of being title contenders the year after we won with Jose and look at how that turned out.

Problem is 100m is only going to get us 2 players at most if we want to land Sandro as one of those players. Only leaves 30-40m left which in this day and age will probably get you a Danny Drinkwater.

Of course there's an "at this stage" because this is literally where we are at. If we make a few more signings before the start of the season then for sure we are title contenders, but right now we are not as other teams have strengthened their squads and we have just been treading water by bringing in replacements for outgoing players. Either way he's not 100% fit.

Well at this stage Hazard and Bakayoko are injured, so I love your optimism.

I was just giving my view based on experiences I've had on other sites. Not trying to fight anyone over this, it's clear a delete function isn't going to be added.

Note that I said "At this stage". You guys think we're legit title contenders with our current squad and depth?

Like Manowar, I'm a mod on another board too (a high ranking mod at that) and if a post gets reported it can't be deleted by the originator and there's a report option where if it's bad enough it can be taken out of view so others can't see it/comment on it.

At this stage neither of us are title rivals...

I guess I kinda get the edit time limit as an edit is really only there to fix up a spelling mistake or what ever, but not being able to delete your own posts seems strange. How does one even abuse the delete function? If a person deletes their post isn't that up to them if they decide they don't want that post in public anymore? Just yesterday I accidentally posted the same thing three times in a row which I could have easily deleted myself but I had to report those two posts instead so a mod could delete them.

That's if we bid that high. It's a monumental fee, and we know how tight the board can be at times.

I did think it was a tad big as well. It's not a deal breaker, but I've always thought smaller text does look a lot better. It would only need to go down a bit, but I'm also fine with it if the majority want the bigger text.

Until he signs a new contract I'm going to continue to believe we will sign him.

He is, but even still we only have three central midfielders, not including kids. And as it stands right now we only have two as Baka is injured.

A loan with an option to buy would have been have been better, but at this stage I'd take him for a year as we need all the depth we can get.

At full strength our best (current) 11 is a very strong side, and if we can add Sandro then it's more than capable of retaining the title. The issue is we won't be able to play our full strength team every week, and as it stands we are lacking a lot of depth. That is the major concern for most.

Not 100% confirmed, but basically it's confirmed.

Fee is around 40m. It might mean we step up our chase for Sandro now, but we do still need another central midfield to replace Matic as well.
