  1. That's exactly the point. Tuchel has significantly more credit in the bank than Lamps had as a manager. It's far easier to trust that a manager that has won the champions league with us and been a successful trophy winner while playing attacking football in both France and Germany will get us playing that way than it is to hope a manager that had achieved next to nothing in his managerial career would suddenly take us to the next level.
  2. 🤣🤣🤣 This was was genuinely one of the funniest things I've read so thanks for that. I'm really not sure how an attacking player that didn't look like scoring, didn't create a chance, didn't drive the team forward or really have any impact on the game in a game we had 70+% possession can be called a positive force. Ineffective would be a better way of describing his performance. Fabianski barely had to move during the 60 minutes Pulisic was on the pitch, we offered nothing offensively. He wasn't as shockingly bad as he was against Southampton but the reality is there's nothing Pulisic does on the pitch that helps his team score goals, create chances or win football matches. We haven't even scored a goal this season while Pulisic has been on the pitch and he's played 160 minutes + Injury time. Our chance creation metrics take a nose dive when he's playing and I don't think that's a coincidence. There's really no reason Pulisic should be getting minutes for us. I think most would agree Broja should have started this game alongside Sterling, he had a much better cameo against Southampon and when he came on yesterday he provided much more intensity and actually looked like he wanted to help the team score goals. Some may even say he was a positive force when he came on.
  3. This is like winning a 3rd champions league.
  4. I'd be more inclined to bench Mendy if we had a decent number 2. Unfortunately we don't, probably could have done with looking at another keeper in the market this summer but here we are.
  5. Did he play? Saw him in the lineup then nothing. He'd make a fantastic magician tbf.
  6. Still crazy to me how people who had never watched this lad play more than 7/8 times in his career spent the whole Summer calling him a Rudiger Upgrade.
  7. We did look good against Spurs and it's evened itself out. But we've played 6 games now, I think it's fair to say we've only played well in 1 of them.
  8. Agreed. Him leaving the pitch gave the attack a tremendous boost. Far better for team morale than seeing him come on after 60 minutes when we need a goal and everyone knowing the game is over.
  9. One we and Tommy T desperately needed. But some puzzling decisions with his team selection and another poor performance after spending so much. I feel there's more question marks than there were yesterday despite a much needed win.
  10. Wins feel more like relief than Joy. We've won 3 games this season and looked sh*t in all of them. Really worrying times. Chilwell saved us today and Fofana looked solid but that's where the positives end.
  11. Mark we need to talk.
  12. Given the state of us I'm not sure we want them.
  13. Chilly is the best goal scorer we've brought off the bench this season.
  14. Law of averages says Tuchel must be due one soon.
  15. You could tell Pulisic wasn't talented enough to play in the Premier league before we even signed him. 248 games at elite clubs now and he's played well about 9 times.
  16. He got what he wanted. He said be wanted to start every game and be the main man instead of an option. He's an absolute Messiah compared to our sorry lot.
  17. Maybe Tuchel decided to start Pulisic so he could take off our worst player when we need a goal rather than having to bring him on and kill all our attacking momentum? Big brain Tuchel.
  18. Probably because they know we don't have the tools to break them down.
  19. Tbf that relies on having players with the talent to play 1 touch passes. Pulisic and RLC haven't played a 1 touch pass in their careers. Not sure about Gallagher technically either. But Ruben in particular wants 5 extra touches every time he gets the ball.
  20. Auba realising being mugged isn't the worst thing that has happened to him this week.
  21. Nearly 300m spent and deadwood like Pulisic and RLC still starting after the window has closed. Absolute shambles. Really just terrible.
