When Abramovic took over the performances of Lampard and Terry all went up. They were the first on the training ground and survived to see out all the arrivals of supposedly new and better players. Do Mount, Havertz and Gallagher not realise that if they don't step up then they will just be replaced? I doubt that they do the extra hours on the training ground or arrive to training early. At the moment I wouldn't let none of them near the first team.

Poch would be an improvement though.

Sooner or later Potter will be sacked as mediocre football surely isn't viable to the business plan but I wouldn't say its all down to Potter. I still think we will improve, players are returning and will get sharper etc, but I don't see us challenging for anything for a while. Kai Havertz leading the line is not good enough and many others are not up to it. Positives are the defence, we've tightened up with Badiashile and Enzo has the quality to play anywhere in the midfield. We just have to have faith at the moment and accept that we are rebuilding.

I might be crazy but i don't think it's dead. I hope we put up a fight right until the end. Stranger things have happened in football. I still think city will win the league but I still expect Newcastle to have some kind of blip. Despite the injurys we have, we have improved over our last two games and we have added quality to the team and we are getting first team players back, notably Reece James. It can be done.

One time very good player for us and will no doubt be remembered by many for his contribution to our recent champions league winning campaign.

Vastly underrated player was Wisey but not by Chelsea. Anyway I think Gallagher will still come good, I think he needs a run of games being a starter. He looks like a confidence player.

Just my opinion but I don't think he'll be much of an improvement to be honest. What exactly does he excell at? Because to me he's just another one footed, not particularly quick, pass the ball side ways or sky another shot over the bar type and for the money that gets quoted he is not worth it. He most certainly will not sort our midfield out. We need better than that if we are to compete at the highest level again. Our next midfielder should be a real statement signing like we had in the past like Lampard, Essien, Ballack, Fabregas all where. I'm all for polishing diamonds but for me we are getting rinsed by Brighton again and again.

He looks an exciting young talent. Really stood out in the champions league. I think our recruitment this window of young prospects looks very decent. Young Santos looks a real talent. Who knows maybe we might even still get Enzo.

PL medals are not always the benchmark of a great player. Didn't Utd cb Johnny Evans get a pl medal and so did Robert Huth? Could be wrong but didn't Huth get one with us and one with Leicester? Anyway, Silva has many a time carried us, I often wonder what would it have been like had we got him 10 years ago. Despite our current problems he seems to really love Chelsea. His passion is there for all to see. And yes, if he keeps playing like he does I'd keep him for as long as he wants to stay.

A good much needed win. We have a nice run of fixtures coming so hopefully we can climb the table.
