Welcome to Chelsea Ben Chilwell
Should have sold him to City when the chance came up, not worth having him around with his injury record. Not to mention hes just not very good as a LB
-
Marc Cucurella
I can see what you're saying but once James and Gusto come back there's no chance he still starts there which is why I would wanna see a bit more of him at LB with Colwill going to LCB
-
Marc Cucurella
Not a coincidence! Always been a good player in there in my opinion and last season is not the best to judge him on giving all the struggles and issues surrounding both him personally and with the club. Hope to see him carry this on, and preferably at LB

So it's Pochettino...and now officially gone!
haha I have noticed that! no qualms with him though, I think hes been good most of the games hes played in and is a big unit whilst also being pretty good on the ball once we sell a few more deadwood and finally get all our injured players back I think we do have a very good squad

hope you're right! Colwill-Badiashille partnership is probably our best pairing. Disasi has been pretty good and grown into his role, but hes not starter material and think he'd be better as a backup

for sure, there have been quite a few positive signs in the previous few games but the results didnt show it so im glad it showed last night. hopefully we carry on with this momentum and the players get some confidence from it. I think the real elephant in the room we have to deal with is Silva... I think he is a fantastic player and an all time great in my eyes. Individually probably still the best CB in the team, but for the way we want to play we just cannot use him anymore. He is just not quick enough and when it comes to playing out the back he is very slow compared to how he used to be before.

most important thing he learns (and somewhat learnt already) is that chilwell if he does play should be LB and not LW. Also even more importantly, that Colwill shouldnt be played at LB and needs to be playing CB

Mykhailo Mudryk signs for Chelsea
good game from him I thought, hes growing more and more into it and you can see the confidence building. Hoping Poch carries on playing him. things are slowly coming together, hopefully we use this win to build and carry on and get the results to go with our performances

Marc Cucurella
Think you're being too harsh personally. Definitely deserves a chance this season, last season can almost not be counted because of everything that happened with the club and with him personally. More performances like this and I dont see people complaining
-
Marc Cucurella
very misleading highlights in that case. He did look a bit shaky at times of course, but overall definitely one of our better performers over the course of the 90
-
Welcome Lesley Ugochukwu
Very happy with him so far! If all our midfield is fit I can't see him starting mainly because of his age and also the fee we got him for.. However as a sub I think hes a massive upgrade on what we used to have previously. Still very young and raw as well being 19, some good development in the next few years can see him become a key player.

Marc Cucurella
Excellent performance last night. 1st game in god knows how long, playing as a RB for probably the first time in his life against one of the best dribblers in the league currently in Mitoma and I think he did very well. Some great passes in there, and defensively very solid. Showed some proper passion as well, really got the crowd going at times! Surprised im not hearing more from the members on here about his performance as he was one of our best players last night. With Chilwell now injured, would love to see a Cucurella-Colwill left sided partnership. Really think we saw some of the best of Colwill last night actually playing as a LCB and not LB
-
Ian Maatsen
while he does have some good awareness and looks decent in attack, i still think he needs to be played as LB as there are better options that we can play in attack over him.

Welcome to Chelsea Ben Chilwell
I feel like a school girl thats been completely hoodwinked. Blimey, can't believe I fell for the preseason hype when we were actually playing really fluid nice football in a 4231 and we didnt even have some of our key signings yet. Also seems hard to believe that we were planning on relying on Nkunku THAT much to the point where he is injured at the system has completely changed from formation to personnel. Just have to hope some of our injuries come back like Badiashille who can hopefully see us go back to a back 4 with a Colwill-Badi partnership and Maatsen at LB

Welcome to Chelsea Ben Chilwell
very bizarre, especially considering how we were setup in preseason

Legends of Europe Match
Longevity wise he's not there but in terms of peak for peak performance he most certainly us imo

Legends of Europe Match
Whenever there is a debate talking about the best prem midfielders and what not, his name almost NEVER gets bought up even though I believe he is up there. When was the last time you even heard a pundit mention his name? Yet the likes of Viera and Keane are mentioned almost every week.

Don't be harsh on Mount - JT
most of those things have only come up post his injury... watch him magically return now though

Legends of Europe Match
Looking back at the match it really does bring tears to my eyes. a lot of these players are almost forgotten about for football fans outside of the chels but it is still ridiculous how good they are. The likes of Essien truly should be spoken about in the same vein as players like Viera and Keane, he was an animal. Not only was he such a boss in the midfield, but his technique and skill goes under the radar hard. Even Mikel was a great player but some of his latter years has probably sullied how good he really was during his prime. Lets not forget that night in 2012 where Lampard was actually very poor and our midfield was being carried by Mikel. And lets not forget about the 2nd most talented player in our history... Mr Zola too!

Welcome to Chelsea Ben Chilwell
how awful does he look at LW? cant even blame his injuries as hes been fit for a long time now
-
Don't be harsh on Mount - JT
I dont even believe he is injured and I think hes faking it because of his awful start at united where he has looked like one of the worst players on the pitch every time hes stepped on it feigning injury to get the heat off of him

hello folks, old timer from the west
london born and bred, proper chels! been a season ticket holder for 43 years now, quite the price increase compared to back then sadly
