Considering how bad they've been I thought they played well. Cith are a very strong team and we contained them pretty much for the whole match. Remember we don't have a top team so in that context they didn't disgrace themselves.

I've just put the coffee machine on..
My partner takes great delight telling everyone that I tend to drink Coffee or tea during the match rather than beer.. Although the edge comes off when I mention that I've been teatotal for the past 18 months so i don't drink alcohol at all in any case..

I have the same feeling I had before we played PSG.. I hope I'm equally as wrong..

Bit of family history, my uncle was a very close friend of John Sullivan and knew him back when he was a scene shifter at the BBC submitting jokes for various 'stars' to tell on TV. They remained lifelong friends and they regularly got together at Johns last house in Kingswood up to his untimely death. (John was a multi millionaire by then)
I never met him although I did go to his house once with my Uncle to drop something off but John was in America.

By sheer coincidence my Uncles son ( born in the early 70's) was christened Rodney .

It was a great design but came with a host of difficulties. For one, It meant extending over the railway line which is fraught with danger. A close friend is involved in planning H&S for network rail and you'd be horrified how difficult it is to get anything done within the 15m restriction zone. Then the walkways to the tube etc would need approval and planning
Then you will have countless protests from locals ,vested and unvested interests, the local council , the Mayors office , noise issues, restrictive working hours, planning issues, the proposed schedule of 5 years would almost certainly double as would the cost.

a new build on a brownfield site is cheaper than a rebuild (a greenfield even cheaper) with the added bonuses c/w the sale of the original land or more likely redevelopment to residential then sale in a highly sort after area to help offset the build cost .

Really glad for Palace.
