I would keep Drogba as well. As good as Torres looked against Stoke we are still waiting for him to prove himself imo. I would let Anelka go, he is in his final year of his contract and if we can get some money for him that will be a plus instead of letting him go for free next summer. Also Anelka is mostly used on the right of the top 3 and now we have Sturridge to fill that spot. As for Kalou, he had a shocker against Stoke but i think he is a great sub to have. He saved our bacon a few times last season coming off the bench. Everton is one that stands out for me.

Yossi said on twitter last night that he cant talk about where he will be playing this season. It seemed to me that he was saying he wont be at Chelsea so maybe there is some truth in Yossi being part of the Modric deal.

Its a strange one because he is training with the squad. Its not like he came over, it all went quiet and then he returned to his club. Maybe he asked for too much money and Chelsea are in talks with his agent or something, AVB said there are still a few details to sort out so my guess would be that. I dont think it makes much sense to hold off announcing his signing just to show them both off together.

I think Anelka will be let go next summer (thats if he is still here at the end of this transfer window). As for Kalou im not sure, I cant see much space of him in the squad any more but to let someone of his age go for free doesnt make much sense either.

I think its good to get the wage bill down but the worry is we will turn into Arsenal, just keep bringing in youngsters on low wages and slowly go backwards. Its all well and good to balance the books but not a the expense of creating a winning team. As another memember on here said if we sold Anelka, Kalou and one other then we would have saved more in wages than someone like Aguero would be asking for.

You are kidding right? JT would have loved it. Im sure JT and Lamps have a clause in their contracts that they are always top earners at the club so if Aguero came in on 200k per week it would have ment a nice pay rise for them both!

So you dont wonder what Chelsea are doing this summer? It is clear for everyone to see what we need at Chelsea and what have the board done? Nothing. I could understand if we was still owned by Bates and was almost going out of business. We have sign 3 young boys but none really play in the positions that we need help in.

I fear it might be too late for this window. Why on earth we always wait till the last minute to do business is beyond me. The board should pull their fingers out of their arses and get the deals done at the start of the summer and allow pre season for the new players to settle in instead of getting these players on the last day and then hoping they gel when the games really matter. I also agree about Kalou and Malouda, they are not good enough anymore. Malouda is past it and Kalou never quite got there.

If we went to Madrid and tried to buy Kaka im sure he would be cheaper for us than if Barca tried to but him. not that they would. Buy you get my point. Spurs are trying to build a squad to get into the top 4 each season. If they sell Modric then what sign does that show the likes of Bale and VDV? Also Spurs dont want to us to get better and they dont want the flak they will get from the fans. Thats why Modric will cost well over 30 million IF we do get him.
