Star
Unreal, the reason why since the day I was in Madrid and he scored two against us after coming on as a sub I have said ( and others ) that he should be a Chelsea player ! Silva's flair out to Johnson wide creating Dzeko's goal and the excellent performance of Scotty Sinclair ... Makes me feel 'kin sick. Torres would score 30 goals for this lot, if they get Nasri they might nick second off us. I am so depressed seeing all this flair and width , what makes it worse that nonce Gary Neville highlighted on sky all the problems we have without genuine width and how easy it is to stop us going through the middle. Come on Gourlay tie up two deals that will give us genuine title aspirations - a winger and a 'kin creative number 10 before the 31st - I feel like topping myself !!!!!!! Snedger
I share your desponency this evening Star. I ain't been watching it but as soon as I heard Aguero had scored I knew that my worst fears were realised. I reckon even with Modric and say Hazard as well, we ain't getting past either of the manc clubs. Aguero will eventually leave England lauded with the likes of Bergkamp, Zola and Cantona. Someone wants the sack at Chelsea because I can't believe that with the ability to spend 50 million on one player we couldn't have made sure that player was Aguero. We've supposedly been after him for at least 2 or 3 seasons. And now we are in the process of repeating the mistake by pussy footing around with the Neymar situation. He'll be at Real, Barca or City this time next year and we'll have Kalou still.
just
Probably the most impressive EPL debut ever. Comes on as sub and nearly scores with his first touch. Then does score a typical poachers goal, then makes one and then hits an absolute fecking screamer. And in between shows all the pace, control, flicks, movement and invention you could ever wish for. As I have said many times before he is the most Zola like player I have seen since.............. well............. Zola. But added to that Aguero is a much more natural finisher. We only have ourselves to blame. We have looked at him for the best part of eighteen months. F8ck me Roman and Buck was even in the stadium when he scored two against us!!!! They must have watched his performance tonight and finshed up sitting there with their heads in their hands. I know I did because this kid is gonna be colossal. Oh well. At least we have Kalou and Malouda to look forward to on Saturday.

Spiller86
I wouldn't worry too much Star, Roman would have seen the match last night too. He'll sort it out, right after he sorts out those blokes who nicked Mikel's dad. Edited August 15, 2011 by Spiller86

Pride of London
United and City are going to be the top two teams in England for many many years at this rate, United much like Barca and Real have the prestige to get the real talents, while City now can far outmatch us and any other teams wage structure. Our success was based largely on the good management of the best money could by, you can't deny that we've been a lot more Arsenal-esque this summer buying in unproven talents and failing to land anyone decent. Being a player proven in the premier league doesn't always matter as Aguero proved tonight... Pity we didn't take a risk and seemingly played it safe by getting Torres... We could long rue that day. Mike 93
Come on guys, everybody knew he was a f**king star and will be. But its against swansea ffs, stop writing us off and see how we do in 10weeks time and after our buisness in the market. Top top player but don't write us off just yet! It's not a question of writing anyone off Mike. It's a question of how we have consistently dithered over a move for Aguero when we should have just got the deal done. Don't forget we were linked to him long before any other EPL side because we had first hand experience of exactly what the kid could do back in 2009. And moreover, of what he could do only half fit coming on as a sub.
SixThirty
Hes a good striker, But its about the supply. Torres would have done the same against Swansea with that midfield support.
Hutch
Hes a good striker, But its about the supply. Torres would have done the same against Swansea with that midfield support. ozboy
City looked good at home against Swansea its true. Its also true they have a a big squad full of talent and a coach who will make them hard to beat by playing defensive football against anyone good. Aguero looked right up for it, just no doubt about that and his second goal was a gem. Having said all that I don't see any reason to panic. We bought Torres and not Aguero. One is as good as the other, Torres is a more proven performer. We will have to play well to finish ahead of Man C this season, that's been clear for a while and seeing some evidence of it reinforces the point. It may well take AVB 3 seasons to get the CFC squad fully sorted out. Look how long it took rednose at ManU. There is always more than one way to solve a problem, sometimes just takes time to sort things. Anyhow having some top opposition domestically will strengthen us up for Europe. What doesn't kill you makes you stronger.
CFCCAN
It was Swansea ffs...new to the PL...bloody hell Reading put 3 past them at Wembley a few months ago...lets see how they do against a good old fashioned kick em off the park team like Blackburn or Sunderland away... The Moos
I know it's only one game and I know it's only against Swansea, but still... Here's a guy we've been after for years and someone who has even said he would like to play for Chelsea (he did say that, right?) and we let him slip away. A young great player who can do wonders for City for years to come. It should have been us damnit!!!

dodojojo
Hes a good striker, But its about the supply. Torres would have done the same against Swansea with that midfield support. Plus Torres is a different striker from Kun. Torres had to take on creator and wing duties against Stoke but he's best as a number 9. He should be compared to Dzeko more than anyone. Hmmmm...would Torres be happy with Aguero on his side and Silva slightly behind him? I think so. Half his goals would be tap ins. Silva alone has more creativity and guile than Chelsea's entire midfield.
dodojojo
Oh, I didn't want to forget to say Aguero is a great talent who is less likely to flop because he has his head screwed on straight. This guy is serious about football and he will not be messing up his career. All I can hope is that he finds the PL's physicality difficult to adjust. But even that I think is only a faint flicker of hope. Silva is tiny and he's cutting up the league now.
Brayerz
It was a brilliant little half an hour from the little man, and i know it was swansea but that was still incredible. Everytime he touched the ball it looked like he was going to score or create something. Just wish he could be doing it for us not city.
Planet Drogba
For everyone who is saying we should have gotten him, I'd like to remind you that the reason we didn't go for him was because of his outrageous wage demands. City was fine with paying them but we weren't. Sometimes it's the price you have to pay (no pun intended). In any case at home to Swansea is not the type of fixture City will have trouble with. Last season Mancini played with 2 (sometimes 3) defensive midfielders against mid table sides. Those are the kinds of teams that City will drop points against, especially if Mancini keeps up those tactics.
