I've never seen Pastore play but Modric has already played in the prem, he wont really need to adjust. Saying that we was saying the same thing about Torres when we was looking to buy him.

Thats the only thing i am concerned about, i thought that a few players would have been shipped out like last season. I think the major difference between this summer and the last is that most of the players who left last summer were out of conrtact where as this summer they arent so we would have to try and sell them or pay them off. I also think we have been slow in buying and selling because AVB wanted to have a good look at the team before making any decisions.

To be honest i think he is being coy just incase we sign a new striker and Sturridge has to go out on loan again.

If you look at Real Madrid they signed two players pretty much as soon as the old season finished. That is the best way to do the business. It gives the players time to settle in and get use to the new club.

There is still a month left of the transfer window. Also the main problem is not buying players but getting rid of some we already have. We have very limited squad places so i think thats one of the reasons why there hasnt been big changes.

I agree with that. DD for me should be the one starting in the front 3. The worry is torres price tag will force AVB's hand to play him. If Cech let in 3 goals every game for 20 games straight we would all be calling for him to be dropped. Torres scores once in 23 odd games for chelsea now (and some of those games were against very poor opisition) yet we are told to give him time. How much time do you want to give him? A strikers job is to score goals. As much as AVB says it doesnt matter who scores the goals, it does. We have paid 50 million for him, we are entitled to a return!

He has just had a month break. I dont think its a mental thing, i really just think he is struggling to play the chelsea way or the team are struggling to play the torres way. If you think about it we have played with Drogba for 7 or so years now, the team know how to play him. Maybe its nothing to do with Torres being tired or lack of desire but more to do with either him or the team just cant adjust to the other.
