  1. A good young kid with a fun name to hear the announcers scream on goals. Only problem is the midfield just gets that much busier. Time to find some more defenders.
  2. So the club hasn't stated the need to move but obviously seat expansion is a major priority for this administration. In other words we need to move, just wish something could be done, but even Spurs who have had an easier go at a move haven't completed their stadium yet. Still this can't be our barometer, we need to really push the pedal in order to build that 60,000 seater (with room for further expansion as mentioned in the article).
  3. In no specific order, Man Yoo, Barcelona, Bayern. I used to hate Liverpool but I don't really think much of them at all anymore.
  4. Not bad for a wingback
  5. There are certainly a ton of midfielder matchups we can now play with having the crew of lads that we do
  6. Moses in red. Gross.
  7. He will be a wonderful player for us yet, it will be great to see him continue to develop at Everton with proper minutes which benefits all parties involved.
  8. Yes. Which is why it would of been interesting to see #99. Not will be...
  9. Yup losing Schurrle was a big hit, he also could of played in the penalty shoot-out. But I don't think Lukaku wasn't ever not going to get a shot there, considering his run-in of penalty success prior.
  10. It really was the best result for the length of the whole season, but ya still not the best to see Liverpool in an elated state, even if it is likely short-term.
  11. I think he will be. Resting over the international break and not playing for spain, he will definitely be playing in one of the first 2 CFC games after the break.
  12. A David Moyes thread abou Ozil? Hah! But really this has been quite a long summer for Moyes and an away defeat to Liverpool certainly doesn't help him.
  13. It will be interesting to see how he adapts to the EPL but others such as those you mentioned had no problem. As for Wenger's adeptness at managing, we haven't see a lot of that lately so will also be curious to see if there is a boost for Arsenal.
  14. Not sure where Eto'o and this RB situation come from, its really a laugher that few posters seem to keep rolling
  15. Would of been interesting to see him wear #99, but thats a pretty sacred number in Canada.
  16. Interesting because a lot of US sites run pages such as these in part because of salary cap issues, seems tougher in the European world where figures are not easily disclosed. http://www.weaintgotnohistory.com WAGNH is actually quite a reliable site. Probably not 100% accurate but for entertainment purposes it serves a use.
  17. Tough break for the kid but he'll have more opportunities yet. Reminded me a bit of when Gael Kakuta was up to take a penalty in the Shield game. Its only upwards from here on for this kid though
  18. Love that Eden Hazard has so much to his game. His shot power is much greater than that of Mata as well that he is really a goal scoring threat beyond just his dribbling through teams.
  19. I am quite ok with Liverpool winning since Man Yoo have such an easy schedule after this. So to see them drop a few points now is preemo
  20. Meh I'm not too worried about a lot of the bad press, I mean a lot of that sh*t happened in 2005. Sports are a mercenaries game and if the player comes through in the end i'm not too upset. If he doesn't perform it might be a different ball game but he took a massive pay cut and could provide some new options.
  21. This is precisely it. They are different players and Oscar has a much more versatile playing style which fits him into these tight checking contests. mata's wonderful offensive abilities are fantastic but when it comes time to winning the ball back Oscar is light years ahead of him already. Though it may take some years, the ceiling for Oscar is much higher than Mata. The question as always is if the player can fulfill. Regardless we have two quality players on our hand and the depth and the squad and the intelligence of our manager mean that we can really play to our strengths now.
  22. Exactly this, nobody likes losing cup games, even ones that might not have appeal to all. But this game did show plenty of promise and put back some of the naysaying thoughts after Chelsea's play for a draw scenario Monday. Though still plenty early this season there is much optimism to go. I too am excited for the prem games, just too bad these damn internationals are going to make it so long till we get there.
