Hernan Crespo a flop?
Big fan of Crespo's. As has already been mentioned, I've never seen anyone getting wrongly flagged for offside, just because he timed his runs down to the nth of a second. His goal against Liverpool at The Bridge in '06 when the ball came over his shoulder and he fired it in was my personal favourite Crespo goal. Pity he couldn't settle in England but definitely not a flop in the Torres sense of the word.

I wore that very shirt to the 1994 FA Cup Final (not that actual shirt but you know what I mean!)

The Rafa Benitez Thread (merged)
If we were to go on and win the EL, I would think of it as an amazing achievment. To win something DESPITE having that thing as manager shows what great ability the players must have.

The Rafa Benitez Thread (merged)
From me he'll get no sympathy, no thanks, no well dones. He deserves none of the above. Useless deluded scrotum.

The Rafa Benitez Thread (merged)
This is the bit that irks me most. How is he managing to convince people, bit by bit, that it is his decision to leave, when we all know he is desperate to stay???

Which former player would you like back the most?
Carlo Cudicini in for Turnbull.

Referees Decisions
Just laugh at them mate. If the FA 'wanted us to win it' wouldn't Johnny Evans have been banned for planting his studs into Drogba's chest when they played us at The Bridge? Wouldn't Vidic have been banned for that challenge on Elmander against Bolton at The Reebok? And when they drew 1-1 with Birmingham at St Andrews, the linesman was flagging for offside against Rooney for their equaliser but the ref (Clattenberg) overuled him. Wouldn't he have disallowed it if The FA 'want us to win it'??? Jeez....

Does Anyone Want To See Leeds Back?
I flicked over to Sky Sports last night and they were on live, playing Grimsby in some meaningless cup, and although the crowd looked very sparse, even in the 5 minutes I was watching, I clearly heard the old 'Go and get your gun, etc.......We Hate Chelsea' I would like to play them again although, as other posters have said, it won't be any time soon (apart from cup ties). Pity because although it's funny laughing at their misfortune, I miss the atmosphere of past matches against them.

Chelsea signing Aguero
Just the sort of player we need. He'll be at the top for years. Let's just hope the ban is suspended for January so that no-one else nips in now that Madrid have advertised him.

Spurs New ground.
I really like the look of the one tiered stand. Is it really just the Hotel stopping us from having one at The Shed End?

Madrid: anyone going?
I'm going Wicksy. I've never been to Madrid either. There's a thread here which has more info on the stadium, etc. and although I'm not on Facebook myself, I understand there's a page on there called 'Chelsea in Madrid' with details of Pubs we'll be drinking in.

Ex-Chelsea Players You Don't Like
Tommy Langley. Threw a V sign when he came back and scored for QPR. Now appears on CTV giving it large like he's a Chelsea Legend. I find him irritating and arrogant. Jimmy Greaves. Always uses "us" and "we" when talking/writing about Spuds. Never seems to mention Chelsea unless he's moaning about how much he got paid in the good old days. George Graham. You can stick him up your arse. Craig Burley / Nigel Spackman / Paul Parker. All 3 of them have written pieces previewing big games and have actually wanted the other team to win. Why not just keep your counsel and preview the game. For Burley to want Everton to win last year's Cup Final because it would be 'good for football' just beggars belief.

Is it Time to Drop Cech?
I think we should sing his name far more often. The brilliant Giles Smith sums up my thoughts perfectly (and is infinitely more eloquent!)

Atletico Madrid - assistnce
Hi Angus Sorry to bother you again, but I'm just after a bit more info! I'm a STH at Chelsea, and can get a ticket for the Madrid away game, but I need another ticket for a mate. Someone else (who is on the CFC European Away ticket scheme) has offered to get me another one, which is great, but that means that my two tickets won't be together. It's not really that big a deal, but do you know whether away fans are made to sit where their tickets state, or if it's like other European aways where you sit anywhere? Don't know if the Bolton/Aberdeen/Scouse fans had mentioned this to you? Cheers

Yeah, cheers Angus. We've booked the Oriente as well.
