Yet another reason to hate Scousers.
Yeah I agree, bossy is far superior!! Don't know why carlo was keen on johnson, and can't believe we bid 18m for him!

Following our nearest and dearest rivals
Aren't you the guy that started the thread about Alonso being overrated? I agree though, not much point having that firepower if you can't supply it, and that's what Alonso used to do for them. Yeah VDV could be very dangerous at the Mancs for sure, and no doubt if Ferguson picked him up on the cheap the media and their fans would call him a 'genius' with headlines reading 'Fergie makes bargain buy of Real Madrid Ace', but if we were to sign him he's suddenly a 'Real Madrid flop'. Twats.

Following our nearest and dearest rivals
I read that the scum were lining up a bid for Van der Vaart. Really hope not. The idea of Torres/Gerrard/VDV is a little worrying. Probably bollocks though. Thought the fat spanish waiter had blown his whole budget on that italian sicknote?

UEFA take the piss..again
By the way I don't think UEFA should be accused of 'taking the piss' when these players are nominated by the coaches of the 16 teams that reached last season's Champions League knock-out phase. Good to see that other managers acknowledge the contributions of our JT and Petr

Sunderland vs Chelsea (Premiership - Away 18/08/09 1945 KO)
Much improved 2nd half! Good on the lads! A bit worrying seeing the after match stats that said we attacked over 80% through the middle and less than 10% down each flank, hopefully we don't fall into a trap of predictability. Nonetheless good result! :D

UEFA take the piss..again
Gerrard did score 7 goals in 7 appearances for the dippers (3 penalties) in contrast to our frank's 3 from 11, but admittedly Iniesta is probably favourite to win and rightly so after inspired performances against us in the semi and manure in the final. And while VDS kept a lot of clean sheets in the league im rethinking his inclusion based on CL performances..

UEFA take the piss..again
People may I ask why have a thread for discussion if we're not allowed our own opinions? We don't all have to agree...

UEFA take the piss..again
Once again you aren't reading. Go back to the previous page. I said "admittedly iniesta could win it" but that i believe gerrard is a "justified nomination"

UEFA take the piss..again
Gerrard scored very important goals for Liverpool in the group stages and was excellent against Real Madrid. Admittedly Iniesta could win it, but justified nomination in my opinion

Chelsea signing Aguero
I think they'll cup tie him for sure, whether that deters our interest or not remains to be seen though. 57m (or a similar fee) is silly money. We should be scouting South America in order to find a Pato / Aguero before their clubs slap ridiculous fee's on them. Quality player nonetheless. Look at how the dippers signed Torres for 20m, before he joined Liverpool he didn't have the greatest goalscoring record (7 goals, 14, 21, 20, 13, 15) but now he's arguably the best around. Don't get me wrong I rate Aguero as a player, but for almost 3/4 of the C.Ronaldo fee to Real, no thanks.

We made a bid for De Rossi
Weaaak

Xabi Alonso
Alonso is a huge loss for liverpool, but Aquilani is a talented footballer and if he can get a consistent run of games may be able to compensate (or surpass) the loss in my opinion
-
Chelsea signing Aguero
In fairness the scum had a pair of 19 year olds at the back for the most part. Can't see us signing him after Carlo's latest comments

Roman's Empire Is Crumbling (according to British media)
14m? .... 16m rising to 19m but a loss nonetheless :o and let's be honest the media does take the mick outta the fat spanish waiter a lot

Title Race 2010
1. Chelsea (if the players can settle into carlo's systems quickly) 2. Liverpool (manager stability, made a couple of decent additions) 3. Mancs (lost tevez and ronaldo, and replaced with bargain-bin equivalents) 4. Arsenal (arshavin) 5. Citeh (money money money) 6. Spurs ('arry) 7. Everton (Moyes, but -Lescott) 8. Villa (MON hasn't replaced Barry adequately)

Best Goalkeeper in the World?

The search for a 'creative player'.
Sneijder Pirlo Alonso Moutinho

Xabi Alonso
Last season was their best player, yes even over gerrard IMO. Don't agree with the earlier comments that his FK's are good, they're very on-off, but he's arguably the best passer of the ball in the league. Lose him and they'll be f*cked

Man City told to go whistle again..
Losing John Terry would be one of the worst things that could happen to this football club. I believe its all just media BS, because at the touted 35m price tag we won't be able to come remotely close to replacing him. He'll be here come the season opener.
-
Pato
Gotta be honest, Torres is better. On Pato, personally I don't want him, especially at that price being touted, Aguero or Benzema much better fit in my opinion, we need someone who can shed tackles, so much of our game revolves around Didier doing this.

£44 Million Bid for Ribery?
44m will not be enough for ribery, simple as that. i know its silly season but it'd have to be absolutely ridiculous season for bayern to let him go for that. 60m and they might listen
